Hi all, i would like to augment the display of torcs, e.g. silhouette a car. In more details, I would like to have a stationary car by the roadside while i'm driving by, and have TORCS highlight the position of the stationary car.
I've not really tried editing torcs, but i assume it's possible to use robots to control the appearance of other cars by the roadside. The problem is that i've to highlight these information to the driver. I'm thinking that i've have to edit parts of torcs itself, is that right? Or is there a simpler way?
I'm at the end of my tether, and am looking desperately for help! Please help and thanks!

Hi, I am experiencing a problem with TORCS, and could not get any hint about it. The graphics rendered by TORCS racing game seems overexposed: the sky should be blue, but shows completely white... the grass, the road, appears like an overexposed photo; even the car shows flat (saturated) colors, without details. What might be the problem??? you can see one screenshot here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/13631137@N05/1392271661/ I've tried changing graphics settings, and compiled TORCS from the source, but the result is always the same. Every other game runs ok. Any hint? thanks in advance. Fábio. Flickr agora em português. Você clica, todo mundo vê. Saiba mais. |

I'm doing that, of course. My cheap solution was to just replace the car name in the xml description of the existing drivers. Just go to \torcs\drivers and within the folder of the desired driver, edit the xml with the same name: replace the value of the attribute "car name" with the value "jvp-citroen-gs". How can I set a race of only GSAs?
I know if asked this before, but it would be cool if given a car, one would
be able to race against, say, 19 other cars played by robots,

Hello,=0A=0AI am new to TORCS and the paint on the cars is all scrambled an= d goes over the tail lights (I have screenshots that I will send later), th= e cars are sometimes even transparent in small spots! I also am unable to p= it: I go to the pit stop, enter in how much fuel I want and then it goes ba= ck to the game screen it says something like "Pit stop: 0.00" (I think it i= s something different), the pit stop message then without reason; disappear= s, no fuel was added!=0A=0AOther then the above (and the fact that I have l= ost my joystick and am stuck on my keyboard) TORCS is wonderful (I love ope= n-source!), I will be waiting for network play so that I can play with my f= riend in Australia.=0A=0AFrom,=0ATimothy Crowell=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A ______= ___________________________________________________________________________= ___=0ADon't let your dream ride pass you by.
