You can put a link to my site too, since it will probably be the best way to get the latest update without having to make a new release of TORCS each time I upgrade my driver. Remi |

Impressive ! My poor robots are far far behind... On e-Track 3 even with the steering wheel (and a better car) I cannot compete (I should admit that I'm a poor racing driver). The results for e-Track 3 were: K1999 1:31:99 me 1:33:48 LLiaw 1:40:50 Really great, K1999 performs very well on all the tracks. Remi, tell me if you want me to pack your robot with TORCS or if you prefer that I put a link on your own site. I think I will create separate packs for the contributions (drivers and tracks). Eric. Hi, I adapted my K1999 RARS car to TORCS. If you would like to try it you can download it from my web page: http://www-leibniz.imag.fr/~coulom/K1999.tar.gz unpack it in the torcs/src/driver directory. It should create a K1999 directory with all necessary files. Simply go into the K1999 directory and type "make" to build and install it. I did not test it with the new version of torcs. It uses the defaults car settings. I hope they did not change. K1999 does not handle skidding and crashing well. It does not handle passing at all yet. I unfortunately have no joystick and can not compete against my car. I would be very curious to know how good other human players are compared to the bots. K1999 should be significantly faster than the current bots on most tracks anyway, but I believe it is very far from unbeatable. Remi |

You should verify that the b5______.ttf file is present under: data/fonts BTW if you intended to play with a joystick or a steering wheel, get the 0.0.17 version (a patch is dispo) it improves the driving a lot. The patch is the [gz] version appearing on sourceforge. Eric. |

I am using a standard Debian 2.3 (woody), a Vodoo1 card and
torcs-0.0.16b. Other games like tuxracer, tux_aqfh and flightgear work
fine here, so my Mesa setup should be correct.
Setting MESA_GLX_FX=disable or MESA_GLX_FX=fullscreen didn't help.
Is there a way to turn on a verbose mode or something?
BTW. I just discovered the trace file, could set have something to do?
ingo@grumbel:/usr/src/torcs/runtime $ cat trace.txt
Bad font b5______.ttf
