I don't know swedish very well, but I think the error can be translated as
No rule to make target "/usr/include/asm-i386/param.h", needed
for "controlconfig.o".
After grepping the code for param.h, I think the error is caused by a .depend
file. Have you tried running "make clean" and rerunning ./configure
with ./config.status --recheck ?

This file is located in '\export\include', under TORCS' source path. Add this path to your include path in Visual Studio. I guess it can be found in project settings, but I'm not sure since I do not use VS. Anyway, solving this problem (and your previous question) is very basic and is related to C++ and Visual Studio in general, not to TORCS. I'd recommend learning more about C++ and VS first. > I'll attach the error log here just in case... > > 1>------ Build started: Project: lliaw, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------ > 1>Compiling... > 1>lliaw.cpp > 1>c:\lliaw\berniw.h(27) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: > 'tgf.h': No such file or directory > 1>mycar.cpp > 1>c:\lliaw\berniw.h(27) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: > 'tgf.h': No such file or directory > 1>pathfinder.cpp > 1>c:\lliaw\pathfinder.h(31) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include > file: > 'tgf.h': No such file or directory > 1>trackdesc.cpp > 1>c:\lliaw\trackdesc.h(35) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: > 'tgf.h': No such file or directory > 1>Generating Code... > 1>Build log was saved at "file://c:\lliaw\Debug\BuildLog.htm" > 1>lliaw - 4 error(s), 0 warning(s) > ========== Build: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped > ========== > > It seems that I need a tgf.h, but I don't know how to correct this (I am > quite inexperienced with programming and such) > |

Hi, this is normal behaviour. Not only for this bot, but for all projects in Visual Studio. If compiling went well, you'll have the dll file in your debug directory as well. If not, you should correct the errors first. Stéphan > Hi, > > Having grabbed the "new" lliaw bot from CVS, I got all the files that > appear > to be visible to download. Hi, Having grabbed the "new" lliaw bot from CVS, I got all the files that appear to be visible to download. Problem is, using Visual Studio 2008 C++ that instead of everything compliing into a nice simple .dll file in the "Debug" folder, my debug folder became a mess of: "Buildlog.htm" "lliaw.dll.embed.manifest" "spline.obj" "vc90.idb" "vc90.pdb" Am I doing something totally wrong (bad version? I need to get the whole 1.3.1 CVS?) or are there others with these problems as well? |

i'm more interested in improving the looks and functions of the GUI itself. The idea of setting up multiple racings from command line is really interesting, but I think making TORCS's GUI look and work better will have more effect on getting more gamers to play it . But I don't know enough about coding to do that. greets> From: tor...@li...> Subject: Torcs-users Digest, Vol 27, Issue 4> To: tor...@li...> Date: Thu, 28 Aug 2008 12:07:12 -0700> > Send Torcs-users mailing list submissions to> tor...@li...> > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit> https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/torcs-users> or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to> tor...@li...> > You can reach the person managing the list at> tor...@li...> > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific> than "Re: Contents of Torcs-users digest..."> > > Today's Topics:> > 1. I tried to compile the latest cvs-version but I got the error:
make[4]: *** Ingen regel för att skapa målet "/usr/include/asm-i386/param.h", som behövs till "controlconfig.o". Stannar.
Right now I'm suffering from the delusion that I should change /usr/include/asm-i386/param.h to /usr/include/asm/param.h somewhere. Am I on the right track here? If so, could someone enlighten me on where to change? I could of course search all files but I would probably miss something.
There is no panic at all, I can use an old version of TORCS.
I am on Xubuntu 8.04

Hi all! I just recently found torcs and I've been really impressed by the versatility and flexibility of the program. However, I have yet to find a list of command-line arguments that are available to use (if there are any). Is there a way to read race setup data (track name, number of laps, cars/drivers, etc) from a text file and start the race automatically without using the GUI setup in the game itself? If not, is it possible to request the option? Thanks, Atrivis |

Hi: I am following berniw's tutorial to build a robot, but when I try to access car->_speed_x I get non zero values every 3 timesteps for stuck cars that are not moving (~20 [m/s]). What's going on? There are also other car->_speed_y and car->_speed_z, what are those? -- Saludos Hugo |

Hi, I am trying to make an image containing tracks from data as provided in the bot's inittrack function. This works, but the first and last segments aren't connected. I uploaded two tracks as an example here: http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/7728/tracksip6.jpg I checked it with simple self-made tracks which all seem to work fine. I know it's difficult to know the problem without any code, but as I recall well, some others have done exactly what I am doing, and I wonder if this problem arose with their work as well? Or might someone have a clue what I could be doing wrong? - Stéphan |
