(Mouse Systems) AXIS0-0 Left/right Wheel AXIS1-0 Throttle/Brake 8 buttons. Works like a charm. under Linux Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Calibration is needed: sudo apt-get install joystick jscal /dev/input/js0 -c (follow instructions) Then calibrate it again under torcs. |

Hi all, Now that we are in the youtube/video.google.com era, I was thinking that I would like to create some bling-bling videos about torcs. What is the capture mode that people has been more successful using? Thanks in advance, Albert. |

Hi Albert > Is there any elegant way to disable the skid_metal.wav sound when racing > with a F1 car? You have to implement it yourself, currently it is not possible. It should be trivial, add a directive to disable an effect in the car model xml file and pick it up in the application. Then do not play the effect if it is disabled. Hi all,
Is there any elegant way to disable the skid_metal.wav sound when racing
with a F1 car?
Ideally, I would like to have for all the other cars _but_ the F1's :)
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Albert.

Hi all, I've seen a commit in linux 2.6.18-rc4: Przemek Iskra: > Input: iforce - add Trust Force Feedback Race Master support > > and I was wondering if there is any list of wheel/joystick/other devices that can be used to drive the car in torcs. Maybe this is something that could be somewhere in the torcs website (if it isn't already), so that when people have some money to burn on gadgetry, they can check which device has been tested on torcs before going shopping. Something like: Model kernelModule/Driver ForceFeedback --------------------------------------------------------------------- ACME Race Wheel 2000 iforce.ko yes To start with the list, I found this link from Eric's answer to a previous question (about ~1.5 years old): http://user.it.uu.se/~johannd/projects/ff/doc.shtml Supported by the I-Force driver: iforce.o ACT LABS Force RS AVB Mag Turbo Force AVB Top Shot Pegasus - tested AVB Top Shot Force Feedback Racing Wheel - tested Boeder I-Force Wheel no USB (vendor/product id unknown) Guillemot Race Leader Force Feedback Logitech WingMan Force Logitech Formula Force Thrustmaster Motor Sport GT Supported by the hid driver: hid.o Logitech WingMan Cordless RumblePad Still experimental Logitech WingMan Force 3D Logitech WingMan Strike Force 3D Anyone? Cheers, Albert. |
