Hello TORCS users, I am Bharath. New user to Torque. I have been trying to develop tracks using track editor. I made some corrections and converted it into an .ac3 file but I was unable to run it in torcs. Please suggest as to what should be done. Also I am trying to simulate a highway with Dynamic messaging signs (Pic attached)can you please let me know as to how I can do that? Thanks a lot *Bharath K Venkat * Graduate Student,Mechanical Engineering Graduate Research Assistant,Engineering Research lab (ERL 311) Missouri University of Science and Technology |

Team Torcs Recently I downloaded the version of your game "Torcs" in tgz but I want to do the compilation mark error. Below I include the message that sends the terminal when I try to compile. I hope I can offer an explanation of the problem and a solution to install the game. I've been trying to edit the skin for one of the cars (car1-trb1), but none of the changes I've made to car1-trb1.rgb are showing up in the game. I have noticed that the car turns red if i delete the file, but otherwise the file seems to be ignored. Any idea on how I can change the skin. |

Hi Arne If you have the c++ source and can compile the library with the same runtime library and parameters as TORCS for your system you can link it as well with your robot, yes. Dynamic and static libraries usually (!) work, but there can be c++ specific "hazards" which force some linking styles or can require some research to sort them out (usually just a few minutes), e.g. if libraries do some cumbersome static initialization. If you have just a binary of your library or it is not written in c/c++ it depends on the platform, the compiler and linking system. Various issues might pop up in such cases, but in the worst case it is possible to write a wrapper which fixes memory alignment, parameter ordering etc. You can even embed a scripting language like lua or host a JVM if required (e.g. if it is a java library). Hope this helps. Hello, is it possible to add static / dynamic libraries when developing robot cars? I would like to use SHARK (http://shark-project.sourceforge.net/) a machine learning library. Thank you for your quick answere Arne |
