Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyones done some study on how accurate e physics modelling in TORCS is compared to, for example Racer. I found some uni research n projects that use TORCS n was wondering if that's more cos it's GPL rather than because it's got more accurate modelling. Cheers! |

Hi, I've output the 4 wheels' speed data (rad/s) into an excel and plot out a graph based on the 4 sets of data. I have noticed something strange. When accelerating to reach a constant speed of about 53kmhr on asphalt-2 road, speed of the back wheels exceeded the front wheels by about 0.5 rad/s. Could someone help to answer what might have caused this behaviour? Thanks. ehmean |

IMO, this should be clarified on the download/installation page. Thanks for the help! In the all-in-one download package for version 1.3.1, there is a file README.VC2005Express. You should read that file and it should contain instructions to solve your problems. Lawrence. I am wanting to use the robot development tool for my honours project at University to discuss racing AI techniques, however I am having a few linker problems. First of all I couldn't find libc.lib, found that and then had several "already defined in libcmt.lib" I used /NODEFAULTLIB:libc in the Linker properties which removed this, and the need to have the libc.lib file in my export\lib folder, however it has given me a new error: 1>libpng.lib(gzio.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _errno referenced in function _gz_open all of these errors have been to do with the client project with the torcs source. FYI I am using Visual C++ 2005 express on a Windows 7 machine Any help will be greatly appreciated Ben MacKinnon |

Hi, I've been trying very hard to Google about RELAXATION and RELAXATION2 function in wheel.cpp, yet still unable to figure out what is the main purpose of using it in SimWheelUpdateRotation function. In this function, 3 parameters are needed: target, prev, rate. Could someone help to answer my questions? Thanks. Best Regards, ehmean |
