Hi guys I don't know if I should open other thread because I had the same problem talked here. I was trying to build torcs on ubuntu 12 LTS on VirtualBox and I had the problem about XML_ParserCreate and after solved, others problems with XRRGetScreenInfo, _Z19TorcsDriverMenuInitPv and _Z14startMenuMusicv. And I found a solution for every one. -l* taked from Make-config file XML_ParserCreate Appears to be that libtgf is not been compiled/linked with libtxml. I did on tgf directory ... gcc -shared -fPIC -o libtgf.so *.o -lc -lplibjs -lplibssgaux -lplibssg -lplibsm -lplibsl -lplibsg -lplibul -lglut -lGLU -lGL -lpng -lz -ldl -lXrandr -lXrender -lXxf86vm -lXmu -lXi -lXt -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lm -L ../txml/ -ltxml , exported to the right lib directory and it worked ! XRRGetScreenInfo libtgfclient.so compiled with Xrandr lib (as in Make-config) gcc -shared -fPIC -o libtgfclient.so *.o -lc -lplibjs -lplibssgaux -lplibssg -lplibsm -lplibsl -lplibsg -lplibul -lglut -lGLU -lGL -lpng -lz -ldl -lXrandr -lXrender -lXxf86vm -lXmu -lXi -lXt -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lm _Z19TorcsDriverMenuInitPv and _Z14startMenuMusicv libclient.so compiled with libconfscreens and libmusicplayer gcc -shared -fPIC -o libclient.so *.o -lc -lplibjs -lplibssgaux -lplibssg -lplibsm -lplibsl -lplibsg -lplibul -lglut -lGLU -lGL -lpng -lz -ldl -lXrandr -lXrender -lXxf86vm -lXmu -lXi -lXt -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lm -L ../confscreens/ -lconfscreens -L ../musicplayer/ -lmusicplayer So after all above Torcs started to work on my Ubuntu 12 LTS. Unfortunatelly, I do not know why *make* did not work correctly regards obs1.: I added export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 to my ~/.bashrc to GL work on VirtualBox but this have nothing to the thread. 2013-12-20 8:01 GMT-02:00 Bernhard Wymann <be...@bl...>: > Hi Evgenios > > You are welcome. I do not track this, so I cannot tell. But usually it is not a major issue to install TORCS, just ask if you need help. Hi Vinod From the error message I guess that plib has not been compiled with "-fPIC", see TORCS FAQ 2.3. So: 1. export the variables according the FAQ 2. distclean/configure/build/install plib 3. reconfigure/rebuild TORCS Hope this helps Bernhard On 08/27/2014 02:31 PM, Vinod Kumar wrote: > I am not able to compile torcs1.3.6 on ubuntu 13.10. Hi Vinod I would Google for "projective texturing", "headlight shader", and such things. You would implement the graphics code in the ssggraph module (have a look into the 1.3.6 architecture document). Hi Till The easiest way to build TORCS currently on Mac OS X is to get 1.3.1 (all in on source) and this package: http://github.com/camillol/MacTorcs or maybe apply this patch to 1.3.5 (I have not yet tried it, I just found it): https://github.com/camillol/MacTorcs/pull/1/files When you have 1.3.1 or 1.3.5 working you can merge 1.3.6 into it, maybe you have to adopt a few things, but it should not be too hard. Btw. I plan to include the Mac OS X stuff into the normal release, what hindered me so far is that I did not find a 2 minutes example how to create a private framework from a c/c++ library (I do not want to include "foreign" binaries for several reasons, so I want to build/provide those by myself). Hi, I already posted this issue on stackoverflow, but got no reply so far. Maybe someone from this list can help? Thx in advance! Till 0 down vote favorite I am trying to build the open race car simulator TORCS 1.3.6 on OSX Mavericks from source. It is originally released for Linux. I edited the configure script adjusting the GL paths to OpenGL/gl.h and to GLUT/glut.h, so they can be found on my system. However, I can not find a way to link to GL/glx.h. I have XQartz installed, and glx.h can be found on my system at /opt/X11/include/GL. I have tried ./configure --x-includes=/opt/X11/include --x-libraries=/opt/X11/lib but that doesn't help. Any clues? http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25097434/how-to-build-torcs-on-osx-glx-h-not-found ------------------------------------------------------------ Dipl. Inf.
