Hi all, 

I wanted to implement an MPC controller for my car in torcs.To implement an MPC controller a car model is needed. Does anyone how which model the torcs simulator uses or where I can find it in the code? 
Perfect would be a discrete state space model.

Hi all,

We are using the Gym-TORCS wrapper (https://github.com/ugo-nama-
kun/gym_torcs) which seems to use a modified version of vtorcs (
https://github.com/giuse/vtorcs). We wrote our own teleop controller based
on the snakeoil client that would read in key presses and control the car
(for data collection purposes). We noticed:

 (1) quarter-second latency between button presses and car actions and
 (2) the snake oil client was receiving data from the TORCS server at 5Hz,
using a stripped snakeoil client to time the rate at which messages were
arriving

We found videos that appeared to run controllers at a much frequency and
lower latency, and wondered what SCR patch(es) to TORCS are normally used
and how to install them. Thanks!

Hi,
I’m new to torcs,  and I want to develop a track with track editor.  I am using windows 10 on  acer aspire ES14. 
Problem:
I am using torcs-1.3.7 and I downloaded trackeditor-0.6.2c.tar.bz2 file, in the manual for track editor, the instruction in it says to "Rename the file Install-0.6.x.class to Install.class then run the command : java Install",
but I couldn't find any Install-0.6.* file in any of the trackeditor folders. 
I then went ahead to run the trackeditor.bat that was included in the  trackeditor-0.6.2c.tar.bz2 file and created a track, when I tried to export the track to A3C, I immediately got the message "Track finished", and no file was saved in the selected directory.
I would like to know what I am doing wrong and also how to make use of the trackgen if the trackeditor eventually works.
