Slackware 9.1 with Linux 2.4.22 kernel, i815 onboard (no mem),
specified 32768K of videoram (which is taken from the main memory),
i810 driver, 16 bit depth.

After removing GLUT_ALPHA it works indeed. However I am interested in
the track map. The i815 also does not support multitexture, so I
use the single texture option Eric added recently. It seems like
the i815 is quite useless for 3D apps. I'm considering a cheap
video card upgrade for all of our diskless clients. Maybe
I'll buy your TNT :-)

I have not yet installed the 9.2, so it is difficult for me to help you at this 
point.
I'll make some tests this week.
