Find the answear in the FAQ. Sorry for the noise. The problem was with the $TORCS_BASE and $MAKE_DEFAULT variables. Best regards, Carlos. 2009/12/30 Carlos Diógenes <cer...@gm...> > Hi, > > I download the all-in-one package of torcs, unpack it and run configure. > When I try to run make I get the following: > > make: `Make-config' is up to date. > > And nothing get's compiled. Hi, I download the all-in-one package of torcs, unpack it and run configure. When I try to run make I get the following: make: `Make-config' is up to date. And nothing get's compiled. Someone know what's wrong with my environment? I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and gcc 4.4.1 Best regards, Carlos. |

I tried going through a web browser but I get dumped to a chinese site which will not let me navigate back to the download. If you can put it somewhere else I'll try again, but NOT with that filefactory site! nepal. |

Hi all, apart from all the releasing "panic", I'm still working on my set of airfield tracks. this is my first one and before I can release a version 0.1, it would be nice if some of you tested it. It's 13MB big until now (lots of high-resoluted textures, but all in png format) and only contains the things which are creatable with the trackeditor and trackgen. As it's so big, I uploaded the file: http://www.filefactory.com/file/a132eb5/n/wunstorf_zip It would be nice to get some feedback! cheers, Sebastian |

Hello.
If something below doesn't apply please disregard it.
"The problems I saw with simplix, especially TRB1, were
its overly cautious cornering and the way it cut the inside of the corners too much on
sharp bends, such as the hairpin on wheel-2"
I believe the robot finds it advantageous to drive off track. Change the values for:
<attnum name="friction" val="1.2"/>
<attnum name="rolling resistance" val="0.01"/>
to something bad and the robot doesn't drive there.
I could not change between sequential gearshift and H-gate shift as I wanted. I believe the program couldn't find the right entry in preferences.xml file. I solved it by refining it to contain just:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE params SYSTEM "params.dtd">
<params name="preferences">

This is very strange, oh, and torcs is great... I downloaded torcs after seeing it in action—and was so taken by it that I bought a logitech momo to use with it. well, the strangeness is this: I can't use the wheel with torcs, even though there are a number of claims floating around in the 'net saying that if the wheel works with my OS, it should work with Torcs. It does work with my OS—it works with other games, and is even noticed by torcs in a strange way... it appears under preferences/joystick thing with a pulldown menu to choose one axis. I don't know what that does or is supposed to do, but changing things didn't seem to effect the fact that... I can't, under users/controls, change the settings from a keyboard or mouse assignment to one from the momo wheel. what's going on? thanks Patrick |
