Normally calibrating under TORCS should be enough.
but you can calibrate with an utility called jscal
that you can get here:  http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~vojtech/joystick/

It's a feature of PHP-Nuke, I think it's better to register
to the mailing lists and post comments than log in the web site...

Try playing under root login, or you should change the rights of
the /dev/input/js0 file to allow the access to your login...

I run torcs on K6II 525 Mhz , 128 Mbytes memory and Geforce 2 PCI
I previously ran it on a Voodoo III PCI card.
But, IMHO, it is a minimum, I obtain about 15/20 FPS with 10 drivers
on the less complex tracks.

graphic  cards supporting OpenGL for Linux: Geforce , voodoo 3 , voodoo 2 ...

I'm totally new to TORCS.

Which are the minimum hardware requirement for TORCS? Especially:

CPU: Type and MHz?
Graphics card: Which chip (I read that there are only ten main
	chips, no matter which card manufacturer) and how much card RAM?
How much Mainboard RAM?
How much HD space for the software?
Are there HD space requirements after installtions for temporary/game files=
 or
swap?

If you know are technical requirement (could be graphics data rate,=
 graphics
resolution, AGP, RAM type on graphics card or mainboard HD speed, etc),
tell it to me, too. And preferably write the answer to the FAQ and to the
docu that comes with the sources.

And additionally to the requirements: Is there a list which graphic cards=
 have
already been used with TORCS in real life?

By the way: The FAQ at http://torcs.free.fr isn't present. So I can't look=
 there
for any answers to the above questions.
