Hi Mike Since TORCS 1.3.6 you can configure it directly in the racemanager xml (e.g. practice.xml for the practise sessions). Have a look at http://torcs.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/torcs/torcs/torcs/src/raceman/practice.xml?revision=1.7.2.5&view=markup&pathrev=r1-3-1 line 54, <attnum name="fuel consumption factor" min="0.0" max="5.0" val="1.0"/> Just use val="0" here. Kind regards Bernhard On 23.06.2017 19:24, Mike Lorang via Torcs-users wrote: > Hi, > > I want to train my PID controllers in the torcs simulation with an > evolutionary algorithm. > Thus I want the fuel to be always the same, hence disable fuel consumption. > I would be glad, if anyone could give me a hint of a solution. > > Best Regards, > Mike > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most > engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot > > > > _______________________________________________ > Torcs-users mailing list > Tor...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/torcs-users > |

Hi, I want to train my PID controllers in the torcs simulation with an evolutionary algorithm. Thus I want the fuel to be always the same, hence disable fuel consumption.I would be glad, if anyone could give me a hint of a solution. Best Regards,Mike |

Good day, I am on a project and I need to build interconnecting tracks (a track connecting to the main track), I want to know if there is a way to use track editor to do that and if not what are the options I can use. Thanks Sent from Mail for Windows 10 |

Hi Thank you for the information, but your picture is incomplete. The expat version in TORCS is modified, it uses e.g. snprintf instead of printf etc. So I will gladly fix TORCS volunerabilities in this context, but there is not reason to exchange the library, just forget about that is was expat, treat it as part of TORCS. Hi! it came to my attention that Torcs bundles a (very) old vulnerable copy of libexpat at src/libs/txml/. If you want to keep the bundle for Windows support, please update your copy to version 2.2.1 with the latest security fixes. For Linux distros please add a compile switch to use the system-wide installation of Expat so that Torcs users are safe as soon as the system installation of Expat is updated. Else every distro will have to unbundle it by themselves, which produces diversion from your code, needs forward porting of patches for every package update, slows updating down and so on. So it would be awesome to be able to bypass the bundle easily. For Expat 2.2.1, a change log with details is available at https://github.com/libexpat/libexpat/blob/master/expat/Changes . Many thanks in advance! Best Sebastian |
