I'm not able to get a colored print output. Even after changing the Ink setting at "Advanced" tab to "Color", both the preview and real output are monochrome.

For me, the print preview shows the first page, but after changing the page number (with dropdown box or arrow buttons) the preview keeps showing first page.

For me, the following print settings are ignored on both the preview and real output:

* "General" tab, "Range" settings
* "Page setup" tab, "Paper" settings ("Margins" are o.k.)
* "Advanced" tab, "Ink" setting (see ticket #4035)

For me, the templates plugin has stopped working well after update from jEdit 5.1 to 5.3. I was hoping that an update to jEdit 5.4.0 and templates 5.0.0 would fix the problem, but unfortunately it didn't:

Whenever I try to insert a template this fails with an error dialog: "An Error occurred while attempting to process a template. Refer to the Activity Log ..." (Templates plugin 4.1.2 didn't show this message, it failed silently). The Activity.log then contains a "*java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/lang/StringUtils*".

The error occurs in these environments (see attachments):

In the refactoring to use generics in r24428, a few places were left using the old method of "instanceof Character", which was failing. And so the register contents were never displayed or made editable.

This patch, against r24670, fixes the few remaining areas.

This means the options for mode "global default". I did not try to set editing options for a specific mode, as this is what I want to avoid.

Markdown mode sets tab site, indent size and max line length, so one has to override these settings every time a markdown file opens.

I fixed this, as I think, tab settings and line length settings are individual to the programmer, not the language used.

The patch is for `modes/markdown.xml`

In my jEdit the default values of the global options are overruled by the mode values. This is how I stumbled over it, that only in markdown editors my settings are overruled.

Those settings are just defaults. You can change the default values using Utilities - Global Options - Editing to whatever you'd prefer, no patch necessary.

I'm pretty sure that ESCAPE is bound twice for You now, because the majority of delivered keymaps binds ESCAPE to "Select None". You should go to "Global Options -> Shortcuts" and remove this predefined binding.

I've had the same issue after migration to jEdit 5.4, though I've used the same keymap in jEdit 5.3 whithout this problem. But hey, I don't think that jEdit should have a defined way for handling competing shortcut bindings. It's up to the user to avoid this.

So, this isn't a bug.

The "Close current docking area" command - I have assigned the primary shortcut as ESCAPE. This worked until I upgraded to jEdit 5.4.0. Now, pressing Escape while the Hypersearch dock is open doesn't do anything, whether my focus is in the editing area or the docked panel. I also tried assigning an alternate shortcut to that command (C+DIVIDE) just for testing and that shortcut does work properly.

I had saved my jEdit 5.3.0 environment before updating to 5.4.0 and updating all plug-ins.  I manually reverted all the plug-in jars back to the older ones but kept jEdit 5.4.0 and this is working OK.

BTW, that BusinessBlueSteel is a very nice looking theme. I'm going to stay with it for a while, I think.

I have ContextMenu plugin set to show me an extra menu just before the Help menu depending on what mode I am editing. 
This is broken in Substance L&F.
Also, I can't see a Help menu in the main menubar.
Lots of exceptions are thrown in the activity log.

I think this is a bug in LaTeXTools. I didn't have that plugin installed, now I do and now I see the error. The exception is telling the right story, LatextTools is creating gui components in a background thread rather than on the event dispatch thread. If I dock the LatexTool dockables, I do see the ContextMenu appear in the main jEdit menu bar and I still see the Help menu. I also see all the errors, though.
