--- ** [plugin-bugs:#1882] Templates 5.0.0 - Insertion of template fails** **Status:** open **Group:** **Created:** Mon Apr 17, 2017 08:43 PM UTC by Robert Schwenn **Last Updated:** Mon Apr 17, 2017 08:43 PM UTC **Owner:** nobody **Attachments:** - [activity_Win10_Java8_jEdit54.log](https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/1882/attachment/activity_Win10_Java8_jEdit54.log) (30.3 kB; text/plain) - [activity_WinXP_Java7_jEdit53.log](https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/1882/attachment/activity_WinXP_Java7_jEdit53.log) (114.3 kB; text/plain) - [simple_test_template.vm](https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/1882/attachment/simple_test_template.vm) (63 Bytes; application/octet-stream) For me, the templates plugin has stopped working well after update from jEdit 5.1 to 5.3. I was hoping that an update to jEdit 5.4.0 and templates 5.0.0 would fix the problem, but unfortunately it didn't: Whenever I try to insert a template this fails with an error dialog: "An Error occurred while attempting to process a template. Refer to the Activity Log ..." (Templates plugin 4.1.2 didn't show this message, it failed silently). The Activity.log then contains a "*java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/lang/StringUtils*". The error occurs in these environments (see attachments): Templates v5.0.0 / velocity-1.7.jar jEdit 5.4.0 Oracle Java 1.8 Windows 10 Templates v4.1.2 / velocity-1.5.jar jEdit 5.3.0 Oracle Java 1.8 Windows 10 Templates v4.1.2 / velocity-1.5.jar jEdit 5.3.0 Oracle Java 1.7 Windows XP SP3 --- Sent from sourceforge.net because jed...@li... is subscribed to https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/ To unsubscribe from further messages, a project admin can change settings at https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/admin/plugin-bugs/options.
