Bugs item #536885, was opened at 2002-03-29 22:04 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=536885&group_id=588 Category: plugins Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Assigned to: Carlos Quiroz (tibu) >Summary: JythonInterpreter "c:\temp\r.py" Initial Comment: JythonInterpreter 0.8 in jEdit 4.0pre8, running on Windows 2000 on JDK 1.3.1: When the current buffer contains a file whose name includes substrings like "\r" or "\t", for example "c:\temp\rough.py", hitting the "Run current buffer" button results in error output like: Traceback (innermost last): File "console", line 1, in ? IOError: File not found - C: emp ough.py (The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect) That is, it's interpreting the "\r" and "\t" substrings as escape sequences. "Run current buffer into another buffer" does the correct thing, and so did JythonInterpreter 0.7. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Carlos Quiroz (tibu) Date: 2002-03-31 16:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=64333 It is a bug. will be fixed for version 0.9 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=536885&group_id=588 |

Brian, Can you please make this behave in the same manner as the file system browser's 'menus'? (ie, show on mousePressed(), second click hides). Right now it only shows the menu when the mouse is released. -- Slava Pestov |

If I see it again I'll e-mail you. It was some huge-ass(tm) JSP file with lots of indenting and folding. I would have sent it in, but I was trying to beat a deadline at the time and now I've forgotten which one it was. Hello everybody,
I have added two public methods to the ConsolePlugin class in CVS:
expandSystemShellVariables(View,String) -- expands $..., ${...}, %...%
embedded in the specified string
getSystemShellVariableValue(View,String) -- expands a single variable
value
Brian, will this suffice for what you wanted to do in AntFarm?

Hi, While I don't think being able to add plugin menus to existing top-level menus is a good idea, it might be worthwhile letting the user split the 'Plugins' menu into several top-level menus. I might implement this in jEdit 4.1. Hello, I've a little strange effect with Antfarm here: I set the errortexts on Console ready and up for NetRexxC, and did a compile. If I start ant in same-JVM mode, it inserts many empty lines into console (which makes it rather slow), and my errors do not show up in the error list. If I start via external script, the empty lines are gone and the error is correctly displayed. I've just changed the NetRexxC target in ant, to correctly handle the copied/original file name for perfect harmony with jedit's error list. And now... I already changed the log level of the NetRexxC target to correctly generated separate log messages for each line of NetRexxC's output, and raised the errorlevel to ERR (tried WARN and INFO before), but no go. any idea? sincerely, Patric Bechtel IPCON Informationssysteme |

Hi Slava, I've had the idea and now some requests to allow properties passed into AntFarm be environmental variables, much as the SystemShell does. I was looking through the SystemShell class and found how you are doing the expansions, however it's all private and not accessible to me. In your next major update to the Console, could you look at moving these into an API in the Shell class so other shells can get at the same functionality? Thanks, -Brian |

Bugs item #536780, was opened at 2002-03-29 10:54 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=536780&group_id=588 Category: editor core Group: minor bug Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Alex Budge (ambudge) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Unable to Modify Print Tab Width Option Initial Comment: I'm working with jEdit 4.0pre8 on MacOS X (which in general works exceedingly well on my old beige 300Mhz G3 -- thanks!). When I attempt to modify the "tab width" from the default of 2 to 8 in the "Printing" options pane, the new value does not seem to stick because when I close the Global Options dialog (by pressing the "OK" button) and reopen it, the old (default) printing tab width value (of 2) remains. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=536780&group_id=588 |

The ProjectViewer is dockable, a new Project is created, the suggested files are added to project tree, when I click one time in tree key node got a NPE in console [error] java.lang.NullPointerException [error] at projectviewer.tree.ProjectTreeSelectionListener.isDoubleClick(ProjectTreeSelectionListener.java:86) [error] at projectviewer.tree.ProjectTreeSelectionListener.mouseClicked(ProjectTreeSelectionListener.java:63) [error] at java.awt.AWTEventMulticaster.mouseClicked(AWTEventMulticaster.java:211) [error] at java.awt.AWTEventMulticaster.mouseClicked(AWTEventMulticaster.java:210) [error] at java.awt.Component.processMouseEvent(Component.java:3718) and bla bla bla (just swing trace), so when I double click in tree node label, no errors, and the operations run sucessful. I think, JEdit assume always 2x click, as if clicking only in tree node label. > But now my CodeAid isn't working. No errors in the log, it finds > CodeAid4.0.jar fine, but the plugin manager tells me there were errors > loading it. CodeAid is not working because it has an invalid properties file. You can fix by following these steps: 1. Extract codeaid.props from codeaid.jar (jar or winzip will help you do this.) 2. Open codeaid.props and find the line that says: plugin.CodeAidPlugin.depend.1=04.00.20 and change that line to: plugin.CodeAidPlugin.depend.1=04.00.20.00 3. Find the line that says: plugin.CodeAidPlugin.depend.1=plugin ArchivePlugin 0.3.2 and change it to plugin.CodeAidPlugin.depend.1=plugin archive.ArchivePlugin 0.3.2 4. Re-add the edited codeaid.props to code.jar. 5. Restart jEdit. That should fix the problems you are seeing with CodeAid. Todd |
