Ah, nevermind. This is abug that I created, from what I did with projectviewer. you can ignore this thread. Hrm. This is something more serious than I thought. I just popped up the infoviewer (floating), and it was blocking jedit's window, but jedit (editor) was still getting keyboard focus and events, even though I couldn't even see it! I just noticed that projectviewer was not getting keyboard focus when I was toggling it, so I fixed it in pv. And now suddenly, I am noticing that Console is behaving a little differently too - now when I toggle it, there is also no keyboard focus. So I could patch console too, but I am wondering why both plugins suddenly behave differently with respect to keyboard focus after a toggle action? |

Gee, I didn't recall that 4.1.2 did that correctly. I don't know why it is NOT working with the current one either. There must be some sort of buffering happening with one of the classes I am using. I will try to determine what it is. On 6/30/06, Christopher Plant <mul...@ho...> wrote: > Hi peeps, thanks for this awesome plugin. I use it every day and the new > version is very slick. Plugin Bugs item #1515218, was opened at 2006-06-30 09:14 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=565475&aid=1515218&group_id=588 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: ProjectViewer: directories from other places in a project Initial Comment: Frequently, I have created a project and I want to add another project. For example, I'm editing Quicknotepad plugin and I want to use build-support, so I want to add the build-support dir as a child node from the root of the project. Bug #1 - It would be nice to have "add folders from vfs" - currently the VFS file chooser only lets you pick files. I never use that feature. Bug #2 - If I "add files" and choose a directory, I may want a different file filter for importing. However, it clobbers the file filter for importing of the entire project, so that when I re-import files from the root, it a) loses the folder I had just added, and b) imports the wrong files from the root. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=565475&aid=1515218&group_id=588 |

Hi, It turns out it was a bug in 3.1.0, and it's fixed in 3.1.2. Why I use ant from eclipse? I really like the ant integration - when I am devleoping from there, it makes sense to build from there. Eclipse has an "antfarm" like view that lets me manage multiple build files. When I'm making changes from jedit, I use jedit to instigate builds. I used to use the console ant commando button but now I'm using Jeffrey Hoyt's really neat little macro, which searches up the tree (from the current buffer's path) for a build file to execute. Which is also quite clever. On 6/29/06, Dale Anson <da...@gr...> wrote: > I agree, sounds like a bug in eclipse. I agree, sounds like a bug in eclipse. Why not just use the command line? I'm "forced" to use eclipse at work, and I find the Ant integration to be tedious and buggy. I either use the command line or that real nice Antelope program...! On the other hand, eclipse is open source, right? Have you looked at line 491 of AntUtil.java to figure out what the problem is? I have this strange problem with eclipse's built in ant feature.
It's intermittant, which is even more infuriating... But sometimes, I
try to build something that depends on build-support, adn I get this:
Exception in thread "Ant Build Server Connection"
java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range:
-1
at java.lang.String.substring(String.java:1768)
at org.eclipse.ant.internal.ui.AntUtil.getLocationLink(AntUtil.java:491)
at org.eclipse.ant.internal.ui.launchConfigurations.RemoteAntBuildListener.generateLink(RemoteAntBuildListener.java:255)
at org.eclipse.ant.internal.ui.launchConfigurations.RemoteAntBuildListener.receiveTaskMessage(RemoteAntBuildListener.java:243)
at org.eclipse.ant.internal.ui.launchConfigurations.RemoteAntBuildListener.receiveMessage(RemoteAntBuildListener.java:173)
at org.eclipse.ant.internal.ui.launchConfigurations.RemoteAntBuildListener$ServerConnection.run(RemoteAntBuildListener.java:104)
Building from the command line always works. Any ideas?

Hi all, I've noticed a bug which I think is pretty recent (so I'm not responsible for it :-) I cannot reproduce it every time, but here are the steps which sometimes trigger it: - Do a directory search - Click on a search result in a file with > 1 result - Make a change to the file - Click on another result - Note that the positions in the search result were not shifted from the edit you made HyperSearch result objects hold both integer offsets and floating positions; the latter should be getting created when the file is first opened, but it seems sometimes they are not. This used to work. Slava |

Also, to packagers: please do not release xsearch 1.2 - I just found some bugs in it I want to fix before releasing it... I'd delete the tracker item but I can't login rightnow. Hi,
I want to commit codesnippets to an external program by console.run()
and it seems to me that all perl-variables of type $var will be
eliminated in this process (pE. "my $isheader='true';" -> "my ='true';")
How could be protected such a string, so it never will be substituted.
I am using this call:
codesnippet=textArea.getSelectedText();
[..]
console.run(
_shell ,
null,
new BufferOutput(console, mode),
null,
"/usr/bin/perl " + path + " " + subname + ' ' + '"' +
codesnippet + '"'
);
Any hints?
Bye Andreas
