From The Independent, reporting on the first Barack Obama-Bruce Springsteen podcast: How much? More likely, almost none. I've been asking for some time for examples of Southern dynastic wealth that survived the Civil War and Reconstruction, and have gotten very, very few responses. Where did all the money go? Well, two famous quotes sum it...
  • @Yngvar

I also read that there is a minor movement of blacks going back to Africa. I read an article, in which one black guy felt relieved to no longer have to deal with America’s “racial history”.

In other words, the Democrats (Obama, Reverend Wright, etc) have brainwashed many blacks to really believe they’re victims of racism, when in reality they are the most privileged race in the country.

Really, not a single one of the members of Biden's cabinet is a Protestant. The repulsive sodomite Buttigieg is no kind of Christian; he left the Catholic Church for the Episcopalians to make a point about the former not being effusive enough about his chosen lifestyle of intestinal intercourse. Does anyone really think someone like that believes in the words of the Nicene Creed?

That having been said, John Derbyshire errs when he states every single one of the American Founding Fathers was a Protestant. Charles Carroll of Maryland was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and very much a founder as well as a Catholic and a member of the country's most prominent Catholic family. The real point is that no member of the new governing clique is of undiluted Anglo-Saxon blood. When the founders generously but naively gave citizenship to (((anti-Christians))) they doomed the nation they had just created. Merrick Garland, not Kamala Harris, much less Biden himself, will be the real power in the regime.

Mr. Carranza has consistently said he wanted the test abandoned altogether, and that the city’s gifted program is fundamentally flawed and unfair. White and Asian-American students make up about 75 percent of the city’s gifted offerings, whereas Black and Latino children make up about 70 percent of the overall district.

Have to give the nod to Carranza here. He's right. It is unfair.

There's no reason some kids should get a particular public education program that their parents desire, and some other kids not get it. Education is not a scarce good. The Harvard name on your diploma is a scarce good. But not education. Just deliver it.

    The following paragraph:

The city will not give the test this year, but only because an education panel that typically acts as a rubber stamp for City Hall took the extremely rare step of rejecting Mr. de Blasio’s plan to offer it. The city will instead create a lottery system for young children who are recommended by their pre-Kindergarten teachers or who sit for a short interview.

drives home the point. Anytime you say "lottery" ... you're giving away the game: A bunch of kids/parents want to have educational program X, but you are giving it to some not others.

    Why?

The public schools system--especially the NYC system!--is well funded. Simply clone the desired program and deliver it to as many kids as want it.

AnotherDad can not solve every contentious problem (most, but not all). But i can solve this one:

Give NYC parents a voucher for the education of every NYC kid. Then the parents can select precisely the educational program that the desire!

There is neither Jew, nor Gentile, neither black nor white, neither male nor female ... for all of you get the same darn voucher.

    Replies: @Elsewhere, @Achmed E. Newman, @frontier

There’s no reason some kids should get a particular public education program that their parents desire, and some other kids not get it. Education is not a scarce good.

With educators like this, little wonder the country is in the sewer. Education is most definitely a scarce good! Any service is a scarce good when real money is being payed for it.

We have to educate parents and get their kids out of public education concentration camps. The alternative is to continue to churn out pumpkins who think there’s unlimited supply of education and other people are obliged to give them what their parents desire. Or the other kind of vegetables who want to allocate other people’s money according to whatever metric they hallucinate.

The only sane approach to education is competing private schools, less regulation, more transparency, less barriers of entry, stop government spending on schools and redirect it to research and publishing. If everything is in order, private funds are going to take care of gifted children.

Israeli Jewish culture is relatively anti-city, and the only people outside internet forums like this one I ever heard to say “I hate cities” was secular native Jews in Israel.

When I was in my early 20s, I had culture shock from talking to natives Israelis in Israel, because they say when you ask if they’ve visited other countries – “I love Peru and Nepal – I don’t want to visit cities like Rome”.

That’s likely the reason Tel Aviv is only the size of Novorossíysk, and so undeveloped and financially neglected in the centre. Secular Jews have been constantly trying to leave places that feels like a large city, and to live in green suburbs and miniature villages which are all running all the way along the coast, and as a result Tel Aviv becomes an undeveloped warehouse/industrial zone, only poorly developed into a normal residential city, and only this decade will be is starting to get normal features of a city like a tram service.

To love great cities is usually correlating to people with a higher European cultural level. To be enchanted with Rome, London, Paris and New York, is usually people who are under spell of complex cultural products related to those cities and/or their history.

People that read Zola and Victor Hugo, are enchanted with Paris; if you are a fan of Tosca, you cannot visit Rome without hearing a certain melody; if you are fan of “Mrs Dalloway”, then Oxford Street in London is a pilgrimage zone.

On the other hand, if you never had a specific historical and cultural background to appeciate them, then these cities might be justifiably felt to be nothing more than a concrete jungle with high prices and uncomfortable crowds.

For people without a specific “cultural/historical priming” then it’s possible that Peru, Goa or Thailand, can seem far more interesting than Paris or London. To enjoy Patagonia doesn’t need you to have a specific cultural background – it is intrinsically beautiful and interesting; while to make London to be interesting, might often require you to be a fan of specific culture and history.

    ‘Affair of Honour.

‘We have just heard the particulars of a meeting which took place on Six Mile Island, on Tuesday, between two young bloods of our city: Samuel Thurston, aged fifteen, and William Hine, aged thirteen years. They were attended by young gentlemen of the same age. The weapons used on the occasion, were a couple of Dickson’s best rifles; the distance, thirty yards. They took one fire, without any damage being sustained by either party, except the ball of Thurston’s gun passing through the crown of Hine’s hat. Through the intercession of the Board of Honour, the challenge was withdrawn, and the difference amicably adjusted.'

The above is a quotation from Charles Dickens American notes of 1842. It is one of a series of descriptions of newspaper reports of men dueling with firearms, which was apparently all the rage at the time.

There is one way to make the black population economically as resilient as the white population has been. That is to give it the same deal that created most white middle-class wealth. The government should buy or build homes – private homes, just like white neighborhoods, not public housing. They should offer buyers the same deal that was given in 1945. Any black family would be given a home, with a mortgage of 25% of the household head’s income, to be amortized over 30 years.

Suppose the black buyer earns the minimum wage, or about $25,000 a year. Then 25% of this would be $6,250 – just about $500 a month. Over 30 years, the buyer would pay $187,500 – much of it in interest, guaranteed by the FHA.

The cost price of the housing is born as seigniorage on the money supply in the first instance, and then over 30 years, the money is withdrawn in the form of interest on the loan in the second instance. The buyer paying 187,500 in interest, essentially buying a 187, 000 dollar home on government credit.

The home cannot be too elaborate, as seigniorage is paid for by whites and other working class people, especially if it causes inflation. By elaborate I mean that the total purchasing power spent by the black buyer over 30 years can be estimated, including inflation, so the home should be less than 187,000 in today's dollars. It is assumed there will be inflation thus eroding purchasing power.

The other way to make blacks economically resilient is to revisit Booker T. Washington's ideas on segregation, where segregated black communities were made viable.

Of course, new-york banking jews, used their kritarchy methods to turn blacks into guided missiles for the tribe's usury. (See block busting above, where negroes were used as agents of destruction.)

Part of the reason for black community current status is their being predated upon and baffled with BS emitted by our (((friends))), new york banking jews, NAACP and their first agent, W.E.B. Dubois. Booker T. wanted the "green" money circulating in the black community, and Booker T. certainly wanted high housing ownership rates by black citizens.

The Jew problem supersedes the negro problem, one cannot be solved without the other.

Meanwhile, lolbertarians are giving cover and sanction, as if black problems are all of their own making, "if only blacks would be more individualistic" or some other B.S., where you blame the victim.

    Replies: @Mefobills

    Correction:

and then over 30 years, the money is withdrawn in the form of interest on the loan in the second instance.

Above quote is wrong on mechanics of loan operation:

The former credit, presumably issued by a Treasury loan, is withdrawn from the money supply when the negro home owner pays the loan down. When principle is paid down, the former Treasury credit disappears.

The interest on a loan operates differently, it passes through the ledger, and it is assumed that Treasury/Government either holds onto said interest, or recycles it back into the money supply properly on the commons, situationally dependent on inflation and other needs.

It is interesting that conservative blacks seem to have continued the old traditions, while whites have not.

Perhaps we need to bring back the Board of Honour, whatever that was.

Thomas Sowell goes into this in "Black Rednecks and White Liberals". His thesis is that American slaves picked up gun-slinging honor culture from southern rednecks who had immigrated from rural England. Those blacks migrated north after the Civil War and again during industrial build-ups of the WWs took it on board. Sounds plausible.

Excerpt from, THE KALERGI PLAN FOR EUROPEAN GENOCIDE:

Speaking of manly Marxist Merkel; for her slavish devotion to Rothschild’s European Unionism, the wicked wench received the “prestigious” Charlemagne Prize in 2008 — mistakenly referred to by some as the “Kalergi Prize” because Kalergi was its very first recipient in 1950.

Besides Kalergi and Merkel, other notable recipients of this treasonous “honor” include: Winston Churchill (1956), George Marshall (1959), Henry Kissinger (1987), Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands (1996), Tony Blair (1999), Bill Clinton (2000), Jean Claude Juncker (2006), Donald Tusk (2010) and Poop Francis (2016). Talk about a rogue’s gallery of Globalist scumbags in service to Satan!

    http://www.tomatobubble.com/id979.html

Excerpts from, Grand Deceptions – Chapter 12: Jewish Supremacy and the Multicultural Experiment:

Kalergi’s beliefs were steeped in notions of Jewish supremacy, which he picked up from his father, Heinrich Coudenhove-Kalergi, who had succumbed to radical philosemitism. His father aggressively propagandized against anti-Jewish critiques and “sought to defend the Jews against … charges of parasitic greed and cowardice.”

Richard Kalergi was himself married to a Jewess, Ida Roland:

At the Pan-Europa conference in Vienna in 1926, Kalergi candidly outlined the movement’s philosemitic program. He specifically stated that the creation of a “United States of Europe” would “be beneficial to the Jews as it would eliminate racial hatred and economic rivalry.” An Oct. 5, 1926, Jewish Telegraphic Agency report entitled “Jews Participate in Pan-europe Congress Sessions in Vienna” highlighted the prominent Jewish presence at Kalergi’s conference, noting that:

Several Jewish European leaders took a prominent part in the first Pan-European Congress which opened here Sunday, when the movement to establish a United States of Europe, modelled after the United States of America, took definite shape.

The keynote of the Congress was sounded by Paul Loebe, president of the German Reichstag, and Francis de Laisi, a Frenchman, Count Richard Coudenhove Kalergi, an Austro-Japanese, who launched the movement in 1923, Rudolph Goldscheid and Bronislaw Huberman, who delivered the principal addresses.

Many individual European Jews are furthering the Pan-European movement by giving it financial support. Among the messages received from various countries were those from Luigi Luzzatti, Leon Blum, Georg Brandes, Georg Bernhard, Harry Warburg and Max Rheinhardt.
Count Coudenhove Kalergi, who is married to Ida Roland, a Jewess, when interviewed by the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here expressed his opinion that the Pan-European movement ought to find particular support on the part of the Jews who are scattered throughout the various countries in Europe. The creation of the United States of Europe would be beneficial to the Jews as it would eliminate racial hatred and economic rivalry, he said.

The Jewish elite consensus on the issue is abundantly clear: multiculturalism and multiethnicism are “good for the Jews” when they are a minority living among Gentiles, but such concepts are “bad for the Jews” when they are the majority endeavouring to suppress and stifle the self-determination of another people, the Palestinians, whose land they have usurped through deceit, terrorism and mass murder.

Coloured people do out pace all others in acquisition of language(s). It is associative acquisition rather than hierarchical. John Derbyshire in Unz Review appeared to admit to that from his experience in China. He absurdly called it parrot. In New Zealand, Maori in one generation became bi lingual while the white population who actually built the country, generally find bilingualism impossible and a waste of time anyway. Maori soldiers even became tri lingual after a year or so in Italy. IQ measures hierarchical logical thinking not scrabble thinking. Comedians are invaribly coloured and usually the best. The coloured menial worker can be hilarious. It is possible I don't know what the hell I am talking about. But in tribal societies, language acquisition is a life and death issue so that encourages evolution in that area. While hierarchical thinkers built structures that protected them from foreign language speakers. In South Africa, the Africaner house wife normally never mastered more than one language while her coloured servants she thought knuckle headed spoke several.

Apparently, you have no concept of law, which includes the constitution, criminal, civil, or employment.
Here is the situation for anyone employed in any capacity: follow directives unless they are a danger to yourself or others. Failing to do so is insubordination. Insubordination is just cause for discipline, up to and including dismissal.
Any employer with half a brain does not fire an employee without conducting a full and fair investigation. Failing to do so almost certainly leads to arbitration in unionized workplaces, and lawsuits in non-union workplaces.
The clip in this article is only one piece of the entire puzzle. It would certainly lead one to conclude the cop had acted illegally, and he may well have, whether he is Black, White, Red, or Yellow is irrelevant. Due process in criminal law is guaranteed. Part of due process is an investigation, which is supposed to be full and unbiased. If the investigation is not full and unbiased, blame the people in charge of the investigation, which at some point, is the prosecution. For every botched investigation of a cop, there are two for people who have been railroaded into wrongful convictions by prosecutors.
If you have a problem with the police in general, look to who is in charge. I have been acquainted with scores of cops over the years. I couldn`t understand how some of them got on the force. Some became disgusted after a few years and quit. The overwhelming majority, whether they stayed or left, were regular people thinking they were helping the community. I could say the same about firefighters, who have enormous egos, or for that matter people with whom I have worked in any place I have worked.
I`m not stupid enough to believe that the people in charge of police departments - the politicians - give a flying fuck about me, they have their own agenda.

They all settled around the growing Ukrainian churches, cultural center and the really great Ukrainian deli and bakery (that I'm sure Peter frequented).

It’s my impression that Canadian producers jumped on the diversity bandwagon even before Americans did.

Sometimes I like to watch old videos on the Retsuprae YouTube channel. The idea is that two or three guys add silly commentary to footage of crappy video games.

One of the channel’s targets is the Canadian Ambition, a laughingly-inept but strangely-endearing Flash title from the early 2000s. The game is supposed to teach “negotiation techniques” but is so incompetently made that it becomes a kind of goofy comedy.

After many twists, turns, and non-sequiturs, the convoluted plot eventually boils down to this: a psychologist (Angie) is murdered by a corrupt policeman working for an evil business tycoon (Rolf) after she threatens to expose problems with an experimental psychotropic drug in which Rolf has a strong financial interest.

In some segments, the player takes on the role of an invisible advisor offering counsel to the characters. In others, the player becomes a character in his own right.

There are numerous side plots branching off from the main narrative. For example, at one point, Rolf’s girlfriend Bridget tries to gaslight her ex-husband Ted by injecting him with the drug, splattering fake blood all over his apartment (deluding him into believing that he has murdered their two children), and strapping a bomb to his body. When Ted (wearing the bomb) arrives at Rolf’s office and demands to see Bridget, the secretary calls the police. (The player must advise the cop as to how to proceed. Bad advice leads to an explosion.) Ted escapes arrest by jumping out the window and landing in the bed of a mattress truck (!). Angie is killed while Ted is still on the lam. Bridget then tries to frame Ted for Angie’s murder, but ends up incriminating herself and going on trial. (In the final segment, the player acts as her defense attorney.)

Ted’s lawyer is Yale, a black Mary Sue who is constantly described as brilliant and handsome. (He gives off a vague Obama-Oreo vibe.) Yale not only works for Rolf but is unhappily married to Rolf’s ball-busting daughter Helen. He’s desperate for a divorce but is loathe to alienate the old man.

Rolf is depicted as a literal fascist - at the time of Angie’s murder, he is giving an address at a “Fascist Party” fundraiser - but he has no problem with his daughter’s being married to a black man. So at least he’s not a Nazi.

Naturally, Yale is having an affair ... with Angie.

Yale’s problems are magnified when Helen finds out about his liaison with Angie. When he tries to break off the illicit relationship, Angie drops the bombshell that she’s pregnant. Then, less than an hour later, she is murdered.

Yale and Helen are such a dysfunctional couple that one wonders whether the creator of the game disapproves of interracial marriage. Even Angie is implied as having a few screws loose. In fact, just about every female character is depicted as a crazy harpy. Ambition is mildly pro-black-man but resolutely anti-white-woman.

Here’s a segment in which the player controls a policeman posing as a marriage counselor trying to trace Yale’s movements on the night of the murder. You can see that the game reeks of that peculiarly Canadian brand of lameness (seen in crappy syndicated TV shows such as Mutant X). The interracial aspect just adds another layer of cringe:

You really are a "cement head", or should I say a blockhead. Science is a process, functioning by constantly changing hypotheses, that may or may not work until a better one is found out. For a long time scientists believed that stomach ulcers were caused by "stress", until someone discovered it was a bacteria. Maybe later they will find another better explanation. evidence here in the United States to indicate that black people are on average smarter than white people

as a result of the observation that in the UK, kiddies of (recent, direct) African descent outperform normal white mutts?

The US isn't the UK; post-1960s black immigrants to the UK are qualitatively different from the blacks in the US, and the UK's academic outperformers tend to come from a small identifiable demographic (children of Nigerian and Ghanaian parentage), not from Afro-Caribbeans (whose black-white admixture - at ~5:1 African:White for Barbadoans - is significantly more African than US blacks at ~4:1).

Dimwitted HBDers have a shortcoming in their ability to identify partitions in human populations - they impose partition boundaries in the wrong place.

This results in garbage output from the classifier; the same mistake is made over and over again.

I am always quick to point out the English/WASP claim - right up until after the middle of the 20th century - that the Irish were pretty much subhuman: this was the view the English had of the Irish peasantry before the Great Hunger of the 1840s; it was the view of US WASPs regarding the Irish diaspora. As recently as 1972 there were claims that the average Irish IQ was roughly in line with the average US black IQ (our esteemed Mr Unz has covered this, people: the fact that Lynn quietly MemoryHoled the 1971 Eysenck study says enough about Lynn's credibility).

Now that the Irish have had three generations of not having their output stolen by the English, and having the English boot off the Irish neck... all of a sudden that gap has entirely closed and they're basically considered white.

Wonder of wonders; miracle of miracles. It's as if the gap was actually not hard-wired, and that the claimed gap was bullshit designed to buttress a 'right to rule' (for their own good, of course).

And so it is in Africa right up to this day. The colonial outposts have been dismantled; the colonial enforcers are back in the home country... but the colonial constraints still bite.

Africa still has artificial boundaries that were drawn by European colonisers. These artificial borders deliberately created countries with built-in tribal and ethnic hostilities. Those hostilities between ethnies, are a key impediment to national (and regional) cohesion.

Consider that white US HBDers lament the problem of becoming a minority in their own country (through pure demographic change).

Let them imagine having boundaries re-drawn, and institutional arrangements mandated by an occupying power, so that their bureaucracy is entirely populated by, say, Mexicans. See if they then grok the problem of artificial boundaries and foreign-imposed institutions.

Post-colonial attempts to re-draw boundaries in a bid to re-partition Africa along ethnic lines, run into difficulty for multiple reasons - only one of which is Western propaganda, which paints any attempt by the naturally-dominant ethny as if it's some sort of reversion to violent tribalism.

The primary difficulty is actually that an if an ethny's 'natural' containment crosses a colonial border, the re-drawing requires agreement from more than 1 sovereign state - often where the political leadership in one of the states is drawn from an ethny that would lose primacy if the borders changed.

The experience of German people in the UK/French post-WWI re-drawing of European borders is instructive: within 15 years of WWI, ethnic hostility towards Germanophones in both Poland and Czechoslovakia was widespread and obvious; after the French invasion of the Ruhr in 1924 the German population was treated like serfs.

Having said that: even if the ethny's natural containment is entirely within a single artificial nation, these days it's a very difficult proposition to get a state's assent to create an ethnic enclave within its own borders. There's too much money and power at stake

So the whole of sub-Saharan Africa is still hostage to lines drawn by a bunch of English and French bureaucrats - whose primary objective was value-extraction.

The same is true of the Middle East. The borders of Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq and so forth pay absolutely no regard to the ethnies the resultant states contained. So there is no Kurdish state, with that ethny mostly contained in Iraq and Turkey; the Druze are entirely under the Syrian thrall for reasons of Anglo-French geopolitics circa 1915; the Bedou are likewise split.

If you don't think you'll get drama if different, often-hostile ethnies are forced to live within artificial borders: look no further than Northern Ireland - the Troubles happened when the two ethnies were virtually identical genetically, and the dividing line was 100% cultural (very slight differences in stories about a Sky Wizard).

Back to Africa - this time in prospect. The big swing variable is the rise of China, and its trade-based approach to resource acquisition.

China's approach to Africa is very different to the European approach. They have arrived with a cheque-book, and designs on getting the resources it needs while creating a billion new consumers.

This is in stark contrast to the colonial[1] vision of stealing all the resources and leaving the husk; you can only do that once, whereas the Chinks have to foresight to 'raise all boats' and therefore get repeat business without having to fund warships and cruise missiles.

Prediction: once African economies industrialise to first-world standards, African measured IQs will converge to first-world levels. (US blacks are a bad basis for comparison: their economic situation is not first-world... arguably it's a shorter time - less than 2 generations - since the overt institutional boot was removed from their neck).

    .

[1] The colonial model has not been abandoned by the former colonial powers: international 'aid' programs are designed to capture resources in former colonies by 'aid recycling' (plus corruption)... with the eventual aim of triggering debt default and the post-colonial acquisition of the debt-funded infrastructure.

Of course, after a couple years use in saltwater, the spring was so corroded that the pump became unusable. I took it all apart, sandblasted and then coated the spring with three coats of boat-builder’s epoxy. Reassembled it and it works still.

I don't think there's any real complete explanation for any aesthetic tastes. Some people prefer Mozart to Beethoven. Some men find certain women attractive while others have totally different tastes. Some people prefer mountains to forests. And there is no way to square that circle. Either cops are going to have to be as trusting of blacks as they are of whites, and crime in black communities will continue to get worse, or whites will have to get used to being questioned and harassed by cops as often as blacks - an all the extra costs which go along with that.

Through the intercession of the Board of Honour, the challenge was withdrawn, and the difference amicably adjusted.’

The above is a quotation from Charles Dickens American notes of 1842. It is one of a series of descriptions of newspaper reports of men dueling with firearms, which was apparently all the rage at the time.

    @Jonathan Mason

The popularity of dueling among social elites in the 18th-early 19th centuries is fascinating. Weird how it was particularly popular in Britain with medical men and lawyers:

By the 1780s, the values of the duel had spread into the broader and emerging society of gentlemen. Research shows that much the largest group of later duellists were military officers, followed by the young sons of the metropolitan elite (see Banks, A Polite Exchange of Bullets). Dueling was also popular for a time among doctors and, in particular, in the legal professions. Quantifying the number of duels in Britain is difficult, but there are about 1,000 attested between 1785 and 1845 with fatality rates at least 15% and probably somewhat higher.

Of course they won't need to call it eugenics but the principle remains the same. The "woman's rights" angle is tired nonsense that's only for those abortionist zealots in the first place; most other people don't care and those who see a fetus as a human life will never think a woman has a right to murder any more than they believe a man has a right to rape.

But saying it will spare the parents (and the child) a lifetime of hardship and the taxpayer a lifetime of support is more compelling from a rational perspective. It tugs at heartstrings when some Christian group puts a lovable downs syndrome kid in their anti-abortion ads, but it doesn't really convince anybody that the child should not have been aborted. Anti-abortion people look at Iceland's eradication of Downs Syndrome as some great evil, but most everybody else sees it as a compelling argument in favor of abortion and the societal benefits of abortion.

Nowhere did I state that colonialism is the only driver of contemporary demographic changes in different countries of Western Europe.

You bring in Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, etc., which have very different historical and contemporary circumstances, in order to negate any observations concerning the demographic consequences of British and French colonialism.

Per you and Songbird there are no such consequences. Fine. Too dumb a position for me to bother with.

    3) Early term abortions, say during the first three months, are not the same thing as late term, but both political sides of this argument act as if they are the same. That’s nuts. Why can’t anybody just agree that early abortions are not the same as late ones?

    4) Could it be that anti-abortionists are not really concerned about the baby, but instead about the choice? Remember: contraception itself has been illegal in some places and frowned upon in others. See?

You're applying the Liberal Standard to conservatives, denying them their own agency. This is typical of those who believe that liberals have mind-reading powers, and that liberals have the duty to police the Right's boundaries.

Conservatism Inc has plenty of opportunities to indicate disapproval towards contraception and female sexuality. But they don't, they always frame the issue as one where women who seek abortions are also victims.

Movement conservatism has done almost nothing to stop feminism where it matters most, the economy.

One would imagine that "banning Tinder" would be orders of magnitude easier than "banning abortion".

But mainstream conservatives won't ever say the former, I will though, and that's because this is the Dissident Right.

    Replies: @Chrisnonymous

Thanks. I was going to post something similar. I grew up as a standard Republican very much from the Alex P. Keaton mold. However, sometime after university, I realized that my main issue with abortion was exactly what feminists were demanding–unfettered female choice. The real horror of abortion (at least, early-term) is not that a blob of species-specific cells is destroyed but that feminists reduce the complex in which biology is fused with our higher order life to literally create society down to “muh body” placard issues.

When I was last interested in engaging with the issue intellectually, I believe Robert P. George was the public intellectual who gone farthest to bring together American legal and Catholic moral thought on the plain of philosophy. However, the last thing I read about abortion was his small book making the case that there is no point after conception at which the emergence of personhood can be seen to take place (and that therefore abortion after conception should be illegal), but I found it unconvincing. I think the correct position is that abortion should be legal up until the point that a woman is aware of her pregnancy. So, for example, chemical means meant to abort pregnancy in situations where women want to make sure they don’t get pregnant should probably be legal. This not satisfying from a social conservative point of view because, in modern society it preserves young single women’s chances to do the “alpha cock carousel” with impunity. However, in better-structures societies where the “alpha cock carousel” was prevented by social opprobrium, it would be a more clearly sensible position, I think.

In the years immediately after uni, I was much more intellectually vigorous than now and thought a lot more about various topics. I actually developed what I thought was a pretty strong argument that legal abortion counterintuitively reduces female choice and should be opposed on that ground. However, my age- and alcohol-addled brain can’t reconstruct it now. But I bet a few smarty-pants commenters on UR could come up with similar arguments.

However, in better-structures societies where the “alpha cock carousel” was prevented by social opprobrium

This is very hard to square with present economic conditions. A society where about half of women go to university, and almost all women within the upper classes; is not a society where female sexuality can be easily restrained.

The social conservative position is that sex is reserved for marriage, but few social conservatives outside of the LDS would accept marriage between university students, or marriage to a man a few years out of university (the age gap length is another divergence).

One aspect that is also different about Mormon society is that men are sent on a missionary work, and its common for a marriage to happen when the male returns. A secular equivalent would be conscripting men for two years, but the societies that do this (SK, ROK, ROC) have abysmal fertility rates.

Our society, whether intentionally or not, has found a way to restrict male sexuality for a considerable part of the young population. But it has not restricted pornography consumption, which leads to female contempt. While young men mostly seem to have accepted restraints on sexuality, a crackdown on pr0n might actually risk violence.

More than 99% of the white people who lived 150 years ago are household name today, even notable inventors. This is Life 101. Tobias didn’t even know of Maudslay until a short time ago. Now he is supposed to be a 24/7 icon to white people? Puhleeze.. Floyd is a current news item that will/is already fading, just like every quick blip news item. He will go the way of Rodney King in a few decades, a dim memory that only makes a brief appearance in “ethnic studies” textbooks, assuming they are even around 1 decade from now.

What Tobias and his racial propagandists don’t understand is that the more you demonize all Black and Jewish people, the more they will push back. When your propaganda demonizes them as evil and criminal, you expect them to stay silent and meekly kiss up to nonsensical talk bout “benevolence”? The day of silent acceptance is over. One alpha male fathering all the children can not happen due to finances. Plus most alpha males wouldn't desire to have hundreds of kids. The only way that situation could happen is through welfare. The polygamy compounds in Utah depend on large amounts of welfare and food stamps. But if enough men are shut out of reproduction they would quit working or work just hard enough to survive. The tax base would rapidly deplete. They could print money to support all these children but printing has it's own set of problems as we are starting to see.

    Replies: @unit472

Sure it could. A male lion or polar bear will kill a females children so as to make her ready to mate again. She has to feed them not he. I think the person who said that quote has been watching watching too many movies about WW2. The real truth is that the modern US military is like some of the old TV military comedies like Bilko, Gomer Pyle, or McHale’s Navy. The US military is a joke and the only thing that gives them power is their fancy push button weapons of destruction. The government knows that there is little chance of them actually ever getting into an infantry war so they keep this clown show going to placate the uppity negroes who can’t do anything of any value for the military or society in general so it’s kept as a babysitting service to take pressure off the jails. If the US military ever had to go face-to-face in a land based infantry war with a real army like the Russians or the Chinese, their motley collection of obese blacks, trannies, and lesbians would be annihilated in the first hour of battle.

I think several factors comes into play.

First, the period between infection, symptoms, hospitalization if needed and recovery or death, means that the death toll for a given week is the result of the infections nearly one month earlier, a date when the vaccinal cover of the elderly was less complete.

Second, the vaccination need times to achieve it's full effect, I think it's about two to three weeks, adding another delay between the injection and any obervsable effect on the death toll.

Nope. But when I look at how newer products that are the same model use lesser materials, and are not as well made, I’m pretty sure that the designers in the U.S. are making that decision. Would companies like Levi’s or Schwinn keep manufacturing their products in China if the Chinese just ignored their instructions and made what they wanted? Am I wrong to assume that is not what is happening?

(This is a reply to your earlier reply to me, while I'm at it.) Mr. Floyd*, you bring up a point that I made in one of the Peak Stupidity posts I linked you to, the about "who's responsible?"

    1) Early on, from the mid-1990s to probably about a decade back, indeed the products were engineered in America. One can try to blame the engineers, but it really comes down to the management and marketing on whether the stuff will be purposely build NOT to last.

However, even during those times, I know that the Chinese will substitute cheaper parts and material out of the eye of the foreign corporate people. I've got the stories myself from my Chinese sources. I am not trying to get political here, but Ron Unz and the big Chinaphiles/Hate-all-things-American people notwithstanding, the Chinese society has corruption down to a much lower level than we have had - right down to just above the family level. They will pull all kinds of scams, one example being the selling of eggs on the street that are actually made of concrete**. It happens at the industrial level too.

    2) I really don't think that much of the China-made Crap is engineered in the US anymore. They've got way more engineers than we do. I doubt they'd see any reason to pay for that. Most industrial infrastructure/capital is over there too.

  • Interesting to me that while white men, of course, have a much higher death rate, white women have a relatively higher rate compared to the various Latin American ethnicities, than white men do.

If that’s unclear, go look at the chart.
    — white men, of course, much worse than white women
    but
    — white men, middle of the pack
    — white women near the back of the pack, beating only Brazilian, Mexican, Belizean and black-American women

I think this is a really shitty time to be an American white man. You are under constant attack, your nation is being invaded, and you aren’t allowed to even do the normal male response–grab your gun (or in early days sword, spear, club)–and go try and kill the attackers, without severe repercussion.

Yet, while men have taken a hit, white women seem to have slipped more relative to other Western Hemisphere women.

To be fair, the actual slippage (increase) in death rates is small. The effect here is primarily driven by all the other groups–across Latin America and in the US–doing better while whites stagnant.

One theory i have for women doing worse would be low fertility and childlessness.

Peak childlessness for white women seems to be with educated Boomer white who sucked up feminism as young women. The last stuff i’ve read from Pew showed childlessness peaking in the US with women completing their fertility (i.e. reaching early 40s) in the 90s–with really high rates of childlessness for very highly educated women. (Think Hillary Rodham if she hadn’t lassoed Bill.) And that educated women are less likely to be childless now–even for whites. These Boomer women are now hitting the “death zone” and it’s no doubt a heck of a lot less fun to be an old bag, if you have no family around. (In fact, outright hideous.)

However, my guess is the slight higher death rate bump is centered more among lower/working class women who were less a part of this anti-natal revolution. And that obesity–the huge fattening of American men and women–is more the culprit for both sexes.
