Many visa holders are exempt from FICA taxes. Thus the employer saves that amount.

    Replies: @Nutella

According to 2003 Congressional testimony by Diane Feinstein, L-1s pay no income taxes and India Incs use them by the millions to bring in workers annually. That is why we are $22 trillion in debt – millions of L-1s paying zero income taxes where the American workers they replaced used to.

As regards numinous: no I don't believe in the 'free' market. But yes, I do.

I don't believe in a world that is a jungle, where rich people can do whatever they choose, where people are cattle to be bought and sold for profit, where everything including law and nationhood and truth is for sale to the highest bidder. Morality and patriotism and decency and ethics matter also. You disagree, really?

But I do believe in the market: nobody beats supply and demand, not even people with 'skills.'

A nation is a form of limited partnership, exactly like a family only on a larger scale. We agree to band together for our mutual benefit in a large and hostile world, where a gaggle of disconnected individuals would simply be swallowed up and exterminated by other organized groups. If we manage to create a decent place to live, where the natural rate of wages is higher than subsistence, then we are entitled to keep these benefits to ourselves and our fellow citizens - just as you are entitled to keep your earnings for yourself and your family.

In Yankee Stadium, hotdogs are like $10 each. Why can't someone just walk in off the street and start selling them for $1 each? Because the market for hotdogs in Yankee Stadium didn't just happen. Hot dogs in Yankee Stadium don't sell for $10 because they are special or have 'skills.' They sell for that because the owners of Yankee Stadium have worked hard to create a market where you can get $10 for a hot dog. Unless you think this is somehow anti-free-market.

And if Americans have created a labor market where ordinary people can get $20 an hour for honest labor - by not having more children than they can afford to support, by hewing to the rule of law, by shedding blood in defense, etc., - they are entitled to this. Just as the owners of stock in a company are entitled to the dividends. Allowing others to come in and take our jobs, is stealing, is dilution of the valuable property that is citizenship. Sure, the right people could make a lot of money going into Yankee Stadiuma nd selling hotdogs for $1 each. And in the short run it would be nice to have $1 hot dogs. But soon the Stadium market would be no more, at least not in its present form.

And yes, there really can be too many people with 'skills.'

Many countries have ‘tax treaties’ with the US. In other words, many legal immigrants come here and work years without paying a dime in taxes (or pay reduced taxes).

But to my knowledge the vast majority of Green Card workers--and those illegals who still manage to use fake Social Security numbers--ALL PAY INCOME TAX. Including payroll and Soc. Security. That's assuming they work for legit companies that aren't cooking the books.

For example, Chinese tech workers staying more than 183 days inside the US are taxed at the federal rates of any American, and are NOT exempt from state taxes during that period. Capital gains are treated differently, presumably to attract larger investors.

According to 2003 Congressional testimony by Diane Feinstein, L-1s pay no income taxes and India Incs use them by the millions to bring in workers annually. That is why we are $22 trillion in debt - millions of L-1s paying zero income taxes where the American workers they replaced used to.

Good article, but another point you forgot in this article, Ned. Many countries have 'tax treaties' with the US. In other words, many legal immigrants come here and work years without paying a dime in taxes (or pay reduced taxes). It's obscene that the American taxpayer, who is already getting screwed by this system, now must pay the tax burden for them too. Particularly when you consider that immigrants disproportionately use the government systems (welfare, food stamps, etc) that are in place. Truly sick what these treasonous members of our government who are elected to serve the American people have concocted.

"I am a white American, you dumbass. But I hate WNs, because they represent the worst of everything."

I share your like of skilled immigrants, the operative word being "skilled" and in sensible sizes. I have nothing against Indians, Chinese, Koreans; I like some of them, dislike some, like some of their national traits, dislike others, etc., etc.

What I don't like, for reasons of logic and respect for facts, are wholesale beliefs and strong views not based upon facts. As a person with some education in statistical methods, I saw through your much-vaunted chart and called you out.

I don't know how much first-hand knowledge you have about India and the other Asian countries that you much love; I have several years' worth. These are not nice countries to be living in. Your Asian engineer or IT friends may be sharp and bright, but when you deal with people just one-level down in the educational/income scale, you will find yourself going several levels down the IQ scale. If you have to hire people (as I have had to) in these countries, especially in India, you will run into plenty of engineers who can't change a light bulb, accountants whose reports you will fail to understand, and plenty, plenty of petty crooks. You will also encounter a culture of lying, basic absence of hygiene, filth and garbage strewn basically all over, etc. If you hate WN's, just see how badly these people treat their own people of lower castes, how they loot and burn churches, how gruesome mass rapes are common events there. Your lungs will take six months to clear out the filth and smog that you will have acquired as a tourist souvenir. Try going to China to escape the bad air and filth of India, and you will find people walking around with nose masks to keep out the pollution. So if these guys are half as bright as they claim to be, how come they can't fix their countries?

Letting in whole swathes of people from all over the developing world may be good for some corporate bottom-lines, for the liberal's touchy-feely, goody-goody approach to serious problems, and of course for the out of control, half-crazed, identity-obsessed loony left. But it is dangerous for America, harmful to its people, and a very big loss of human capital for countries so obviously lacking it. Basically, uncontrolled, unplanned immigration is bad, plain bad policy, plain bad economics, and bad humanitarianism as well. View the H1 visa issue in such a context.

    Replies: @Another Realist

Absolutely agree with every word. Parts of the Northeast and West coast feel more like Mexico, China, India, Pakistan, Somalia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines or Guatemala than the US. Most of these people come from a culture where rudeness, lying, cheating, law breaking, misogyny, general dog-eat-dog behavior is just fine. Their children who may have grown up here are brought up in the same culture and in time begin to rub off their culture on our kids.

If our schools are still working as before, we would assimilate these children into the WASP culture of honesty, law-abidingness, good manners, civic mindedness, self-reliance, hard work, no children out of wedlock, punctuality, cleanliness next to Godliness, patriotism, serving one’s country etc. But thanks to the libtards running amok in our schools, these immigrant children are instead being inculcated into asserting their rotten cultural “heritage”. If their culture is so great, why are their societies so rotten? Why are they here?

Until our schools stop with the identity politics nonsense and go back to assimilating kids rather than encouraging identity politics and victimhood culture, we need to curtail immigration from the third world period. In small numbers, we assimilate them, in large numbers, they assimilate us. The US is playing with a dangerous game. At this rate of immigration (3m a year) we are in danger of turning into a 3rd world hell hole within one generation. In 20 years we will be too far gone to turn back.

Remember that there was a time when almost all grads of their IIT came to the US (and went to grad school at MIT or Stanford). Now, only a third come to America, because their opportunities are better

    .

With due respect, I don't believe there was ever such a time. I went to one of the IITs in the 90s, and even at that time, we would hear of maybe a quarter to a third of students going abroad to graduate schools. And those students majored in cutting edge areas like Computer Science, expert in which were scarce in India. Now most of those who went did tend to go to good schools in the US like MIT and Stanford, so that stereotype is accurate; if one didn't get admitted to a highly-ranked school with financial aid, one tended not to bother and find the best job they could in India.

Also, the trope about these students being loaded or coming from elite families is nonsense. The IITs were completely meritocratic; you had to master high school Math and Science over a period of 2-3 years to have a prayer of answering any of the questions in what was a seriously rigorous set of exams. Most of us came from modest backgrounds; there were a significant number of JD Vance-types. We lived in very spartan surroundings, and those of us who came from any kind of money knew better than to flash it around.

    Replies: @Thomm

I pretty much agree. The racists claim that ‘only the very best Indians come to the US’, and that only 1-3% of India’s population is even smart enough to do a middle-class job in America. This is obviously not true. I think it is closer to 20%.

I was under the impression that the Indians that came in the 70s and 80s were in fact the very best (I might be wrong, as you point out), but now it is more of a diverse mix of skillsets. Yet, that still hasn’t dragged Indians down from the top of the income perch in America.

The notion that the Indians who come here are already rich is obviously false. Only a WN retard would say such a thing. The rich and well-connected in India have no reason to leave to be a corporate-job grunt in the US.

  • I get that it’s hard to force people who have lived here their whole lives since they were kids to move “back” to a country that is as foreign to them as it is to the rest of us, and I can empathize with the rationale of giving them some sort of legal status. However, this must be done in a way so as not to encourage more of such law braking down the road. Trump is beyond stupid to not use DACA as a bargaining chip. At a minimum he should demand the following from Congress:

    1) A new constitutional amendment to nullify the 14th amendment. From now on all babies born in the US will only obtain citizenship if at least one parent is a citizen, otherwise they get a green card if at least one parent has a green card, or will only get a dependent visa if parents are here on any visa.

    2) A border wall, hiring of 10,000 additional ICE and border agents and beefed up high tech surveillance of all land and water borders.

    3) Cancel the Optional Practical Training. This insidious retarded program that gives tax incentives to US employers to hire foreign grads (of any major) must not be allowed to continue.

    4) Reduce the annual green card allotment to 250,000 a year for the next 20 years. Make English proficiency a requirement(non-negotiable) when applying for a green card.

    5) Up the EB-5 investor visa to $10 million and limit it to 1,000 a year(from 10,000), bar all current and former government officials of any country from ever receiving this visa. Either that or cancel it altogether.

    6) Cut the H1b visa to 25,000 a year (from the current 85,000) and raise the fee to $100,000 per visa.

    7) Cut the seasonal H2b visa to ZERO (from 66,000). Give these jobs to teenagers and urban unemployed.

    8) Cut the number of refugees to no more than 10,000 per year, and they must pass criminal background check, ideological, minimum skills and English proficiency tests.

In exchange, we give the 800,000+ currently registered DACA people who can prove their date of entry conditional legal status (provided they didn’t break any criminal law), green card only, not eligible for citizenship for minimum 20 years so they can’t sponsor another 6m relatives in, and the Dems can’t get their votes. The green cards are only conferred after they pay back taxes if any is owed.

  • “I am a white American, you dumbass. But I hate WNs, because they represent the worst of everything.”

I share your like of skilled immigrants, the operative word being “skilled” and in sensible sizes. I have nothing against Indians, Chinese, Koreans; I like some of them, dislike some, like some of their national traits, dislike others, etc., etc.

What I don’t like, for reasons of logic and respect for facts, are wholesale beliefs and strong views not based upon facts. As a person with some education in statistical methods, I saw through your much-vaunted chart and called you out.

I don’t know how much first-hand knowledge you have about India and the other Asian countries that you much love; I have several years’ worth. These are not nice countries to be living in. Your Asian engineer or IT friends may be sharp and bright, but when you deal with people just one-level down in the educational/income scale, you will find yourself going several levels down the IQ scale. If you have to hire people (as I have had to) in these countries, especially in India, you will run into plenty of engineers who can’t change a light bulb, accountants whose reports you will fail to understand, and plenty, plenty of petty crooks. You will also encounter a culture of lying, basic absence of hygiene, filth and garbage strewn basically all over, etc. If you hate WN’s, just see how badly these people treat their own people of lower castes, how they loot and burn churches, how gruesome mass rapes are common events there. Your lungs will take six months to clear out the filth and smog that you will have acquired as a tourist souvenir. Try going to China to escape the bad air and filth of India, and you will find people walking around with nose masks to keep out the pollution. So if these guys are half as bright as they claim to be, how come they can’t fix their countries?

Letting in whole swathes of people from all over the developing world may be good for some corporate bottom-lines, for the liberal’s touchy-feely, goody-goody approach to serious problems, and of course for the out of control, half-crazed, identity-obsessed loony left.

If our schools are still working as before, we would assimilate these children into the WASP culture of honesty, law-abidingness, good manners, civic mindedness, self-reliance, hard work, no children out of wedlock, punctuality, cleanliness next to Godliness, patriotism, serving one's country etc. But thanks to the libtards running amok in our schools, these immigrant children are instead being inculcated into asserting their rotten cultural "heritage".

I think Ron Unz said that it is more like the top 20% of India. It is certainly not as low as 1-3%.

Remember that there was a time when almost all grads of their IIT came to the US (and went to grad school at MIT or Stanford). Now, only a third come to America, because their opportunities are better.

Plus, why would that be more true of India than China? By your logic, the Chinese should be outperforming Indians in the US, but are not. You are claiming only India sends their elites here, but other countries like China, Iran, and Pakistan do not.

You have not provided sufficient evidence to explain their outperformance in the US, because it tends to bust all the oversimplified, childlike assumptions and beliefs of WNs.

With due respect, I don’t believe there was ever such a time. I went to one of the IITs in the 90s, and even at that time, we would hear of maybe a quarter to a third of students going abroad to graduate schools. And those students majored in cutting edge areas like Computer Science, expert in which were scarce in India. Now most of those who went did tend to go to good schools in the US like MIT and Stanford, so that stereotype is accurate; if one didn’t get admitted to a highly-ranked school with financial aid, one tended not to bother and find the best job they could in India.

I pretty much agree. The racists claim that 'only the very best Indians come to the US', and that only 1-3% of India's population is even smart enough to do a middle-class job in America. This is obviously not true. I think it is closer to 20%.

I was under the impression that the Indians that came in the 70s and 80s were in fact the very best (I might be wrong, as you point out), but now it is more of a diverse mix of skillsets. Yet, that still hasn't dragged Indians down from the top of the income perch in America.

The notion that the Indians who come here are already rich is obviously false. Only a WN retard would say such a thing. The rich and well-connected in India have no reason to leave to be a corporate-job grunt in the US.

The H-1B program is a joke. The vast majority of these so called 'talented' people from India are basically scam artist with dubious degree and fake credentials. They get to work because body shops such as Infosys and others get contracts from large companies and hire exclusively Indians to fill the jobs. The thing about IT and programming is that unlike manufactured goods the low quality of the products cannot easily be seen until disaster stuck and then they move on and prey on another gullible companies.

Several years ago I was a contractor working for an auto part supply company when they announced that I was being replaced by a dark skinned and smelly Infosys employee. Although he was pleasant and cheerful he clearly had little experience or knowledge. This being a German speaking company and he being an “English” speaker, the entire company had difficulties translating his Indian-English to their German-English. The CTO expected me to stay on and train him until they decided he was up to snuff. I left at the end of the month, per the contract.

A while later I heard that several more Infosys employees had arrived and replaced other long term employees and contractors. Needless to say the morale of the entire IT department had crashed. I have little doubt that the company is dependent on Indian contractors and now has a major struggle ahead to get the operation back under their own control.

So as I follow the Awan brothers saga I constantly get those Deja-Vue willies. Its like an inverse Hotel California: The Roaches check in, but you can never check them out.

I have met a lot of smart sub-continentals during my engineering career. However, just as many of them are sub-standard, which underscores the primary purpose of H1-B, to hold down engineering wages to benefit the corporations.

There is no proof of that. There are 4 million of them in America.

Plus, you clearly don't understand the chart, even though it is something a 6th-grader can interpret. Indians outperform all other groups. You just don't have an explanation for that beyond what a 70-IQ wigger like you would say.

Mark Presco's point about 'cherrypicking' is probably much closer to the truth. But DumBoy Cooper is so incredibly innumerate that he can merely say something so completely illogical that is would be embarrassing for even a retard to say it.

I mean, only one-third of the graduates from their best schools leave India. The ones that do get graduate degrees in the US (even though DumBoy Cooper says those are 'fake degrees' - yeah, MIT and Stanford are 'fake' to this faggot).

But I will be satisfied if an illiterate wigger like DumBoy Cooper can demonstrate that he can even interpret the chart. I maintain that most WNs don't know how to read graphs and charts, and DumBoy Cooper has proved this here today.

My understanding is that 'Brahmins' are not often wealthy, but rather the clergy, scholars, monks, etc.

The businesspeople are the rich ones, but that is technically Caste #3 out of 4.

Plus non-Hindi Indians (like Sikhs and Christians) are not part of a 'caste' at all.

Likewise, if Indian-Americans are truly the country's richest ethnic group, some of this is due to hard work and talent, but an equal proportion is due to graft and corruption.

Why on earth does that country remain so filthy, disorganized, under-nourished, and generally so unlivable that the better educated ones want to migrate out?

    I have wondered about that.

The Indians who come to the US are not the topmost people there, as people who are already rich in India have no reason to leave. Their best engineering school, the Indian Institute of Technology, used to see almost all of them come to the US, but now under a third do. The rest voluntarily stay in India, so the percentage of Indians who could earn high incomes in America, but yet choose to stay in India, is high.

Plus, Indians are successful in Canada, Australia, etc. as well. Not just the US. They went to Africa and started generating vast wealth even from that hellhole that Idi Amin behaved like a White Nationalist* and confiscated Indian property before kicking them out.

The rest of your comment is strange. Apparently, people who relocate for a better life are 'scumbags' (which means your ancestors who came here were too). In fact, Indians overseas remit over $70B/year to India, which you certainly were not aware of.

Henry Ford paid his people $5.00 per day, when the average wage was about $1.50 per day. This was done in order to stabilize his workforce, but was also done as Ford believed that his workers should be able to afford his products.

Henry Ford realized that paying people a decent wage would come back to reward him immensely. Of course, the wall street banksters howled in protest, stating that Ford's high wages would "destroy capitalism" as they knew it...Henry Ford mistrusted banks and knew of their destructive potential. His writings have stated as such.

Henry Ford had a great part in establishing a "middle class" and was instrumental in helping quell the "class warfare" that was evident in other parts of the world.
Our present "race to the bottom" with the implementation of the fraudulent H-1b visa program has made native-born Americans second-class citizens in our own country. The "pointy-headed intellectuals" in our "business schools", colleges and universities have lost sight of the fact that a well-functioning economy requires a consumer base that is able to afford the consumer products available to them. It helps to have the products produced by the very consumers that eventually purchase them...in today's business schools, the stockholder is looked upon as the one entity that must be "stroked" at all costs...the balance that is required for an economic system to flourish is ignored...a well-functioning economic system is like a three-legged stool that requires consumer/employees, investors/consumers.employees, and financial backers, also consumers, employees, investors to properly function. Take the employees out of the equation (with the siren song of cheap imports) and you have the mess that we are in today...

Henry Ford paid his people $5.00 per day, when the average wage was about $1.50 per day.

Ford paid $2.40 a day plus $2.60 “profit sharing” contingent on things like learning English, hygiene, work ethic, etc. His objective was to inoculate his labor against rampant communist unionists who found easier prey in Detroit’s immigrant heavy workforce than among natives.

Ford’s issues with Jews were cultural (support for communism, smut, etc) and financial (his attacks on German Jewish bankers etc). Ford was a fairly simple man, poorly educated, but fiercely loyal to his people (ie American founding stock farmers). Look into his Edison Institutes.

Ford Motor is today the only major US automaker still headquartered in its hometown. GM shat on Flint and Chrysler was sold first to the Germans and now the Italians. The Ford/Firestone family has retained Henry’s paternalistic impulses to some extent with all the major family players still in the Detroit area along with HQ, engineering, etc.

As a “kid” I spent many years working construction, sunup to sundown, in Southern California. Helped rough frame lots of track/custom homes. I loved the work, even though it beat the crap out of your body.

Fast forward, and I remember showing up to construction sites, and it'd be a rabble of lazy drag-ass illegals. That's when I decided to walk away from that trade.

Bragging? It is an objective fact. Ask someone with an IQ above 90 to explain that chart to you.

Regarding India, I don't care. I care about demonstrated track record on the level playing field of America. Indians are the most successful of all in the US. But even India has the same prosperity that Eastern Europe had about 15 years ago, at any rate. Being 15 years behind is hardly a permanent low.

I have yet to see one study that shows that Indians are on average as smart as they claim themselves to be.

Again, that chart I posted (included here again) indicates that they (a community of 4 million people) are doing well here, which refutes all your claims about how they are 'frauds' and 'do jobs for low wages'.

You have yet to explain why Indians are the highest-income group in the US, bar none.

It is pretty obvious that you don't know how to read a chart (something 6th graders are taught). Maybe ask someone to explain the chart to you, so you can understand what is portrayed.

The rest of your comment is strange. Apparently, people who relocate for a better life are ‘scumbags’ (which means your ancestors who came here were too). In fact, Indians overseas remit over $70B/year to India, which you certainly were not aware of.

I care about America, so I want more skilled immigrants irrespective of nation. But some nations tend to be very heavily represented among skilled immigrants.

Lastly, I remind you that white variance is very high, and successful whites like me are tired of carrying the loser WNs. If WNs were given land and told to make their own country, it would be worse than Haiti (and a sausage-fest to boot, unless we throw in the fat bluehaired feminists who are the female counterparts to WN males in the genetic wastebasket faction).

*White Nationalists and Negros have similar IQs.

Not only do Indians take away jobs from the Americans in the process they left behind a trail of companies destroyed. Indians has made a name for themselves as being bad in the IT industries. I am sure you can find some who are good, but the overwhelming majorities of them are very bad. Here is a selected list of companies ruined or almost ruined by imported Indian labor. This list is compiled years ago. I am sure it is much longer now.

Adaptec - Indian CEO Subramanian Sundaresh fired.
AIG (signed outsourcing deal in 2007 in Europe with Accenture Indian frauds, collapsed in 2009)
AirBus (Qantas plane plunged 650 feet injuring passengers when its computer system written by India disengaged the auto-pilot).
Apple - R&D CLOSED in India in 2006.

Caymas - Startup run by Indian CEO, French director of dev, Chinese tech lead. Closed after 5 years of sucking VC out of America.
Caterpillar misses earnings a mere 4 months after outsourcing to India, Inc.
Circuit City - Outsourced all IT to Indian-run IBM and went bankrupt shortly thereafter.
ComAir crew system run by 100% Indian IT workers caused the 12/25/05 U.S. airport shutdown when they used a short int instead of a long int
Deloitte - 2010 - this Indian-packed consulting company is being sued under RICO fraud charges by Marin Country, California for a failed solution.
Dell - call center (closed in India)
Delta call centers (closed in India)
Fannie Mae - Hired large numbers of Indians, had to be bailed out. Indian logic bomb creator found guilty.

Intel Whitefield processor project (cancelled, Indian staff canned)
Lehman (Spectramind software bought by Wipro, ruined, trashed by Indian programmers)
Medicare - Defrauded by Indian national doctor Arun Sharma & wife in the U.S.
Microsoft - Employs over 35,000 H-1Bs. Stock used to be $100. Today it's lucky to be over $25. Not to mention that Vista thing.
    MIT Media Lab Asia (canceled)
PeopleSoft (Taken over by Indians in 2000, collapsed).
PepsiCo - Slides from #1 to #3 during Indian CEO Indra Nooyi' watch.

State of Indiana $867 million FAILED IBM project, IBM being sued
State of Texas failed IBM project.
Sun Micro (Taken over by Indian and Chinese workers in 2001, collapsed, had to be sold off to Oracle).
UK's NHS outsourced numerous jobs including health records to India in mid-2000 resulting in $26 billion over budget.

The average IQ in India is 82, so the only way to account for the high average in this country is that we have succeeded in cherry picking. These people are needed far more in India than here. • You keep on bragging that Indians in America has the highest income.

Bragging? It is an objective fact. Ask someone with an IQ above 90 to explain that chart to you.

Regarding India, I don’t care.

Again, that chart I posted (included here again) indicates that they (a community of 4 million people) are doing well here, which refutes all your claims about how they are ‘frauds’ and ‘do jobs for low wages’.

You have yet to explain why Indians are the highest-income group in the US, bar none.

It is pretty obvious that you don’t know how to read a chart (something 6th graders are taught). Maybe ask someone to explain the chart to you, so you can understand what is portrayed.

You make out so much by flaunting that chart of yours, but you disregard (wilfully or out of ignorance) one basic fact underlying that chart: the high achieving Indians are easily explained by the concentration of a very select sub-stratum of the overall Indian population in it. These guys are mostly the cream of India (elite colleges, elite families). They represent the top 1 to 3% of the Indian population. Read up on basic statistical theory, especially the concepts of normal distribution, mean, standard deviation, area under the curves at the right/left boundaries and such, and then blabber about charts and statistics. With some knowledge (and wisdom) you will understand why it has been said, "Lies, damned lies, and statistics" when statistical reasoning is employed by politicians, salesmen, and the ignorant.

  • Anon • Disclaimer says:

The US economy has been gradually turning into a two tier economy for some time now. Ever since the Indian scammers came in to fix the Y2k bug and never left, we’ve been heading in that direction. In the tech industry, ever fewer employees are now blue badge(full time). Companies like Microsoft used to do lower level functions like software testing and tech support in-house, but now most of those functions have been outsourced, to companies like Infosys, TCS etc. who bring in low skilled, under qualified graduates of sub par Indian colleges to do the work for 1/3 to 1/2 the salaries of a blue badge employee.

The majority of H1b visas go to this latter group of low skilled tech workers. The top 5 tech firms themselves (Apple, Google, FB, Amzn, Msft) use no more than 2,000 to 3,000 of the H1b visa for their blue badge hires each year – not each, but in total. The top 10 H1b users are all outsourcing firms, 7 of which are Indian, the remaining 3 are US in name only – IBM, Accenture and Deloitte.

By his own admission the founder of Infosys said that <25% of graduates of Indian colleges are even employable. Even those who are employed had to be put through 6 months of intensive training before they could be deployed to the US. Why aren't these Indian companies hiring and training American graduates instead? Up to 55% of our college grads since 2009 are either unemployed or underemployed in dead end jobs. We need to make these outsourcing firms hire and train US workers, by simply not allowing these firms to use the H1b, L1, or B1 visas to bring in workers directly from abroad.

We should also raise its fee to $100,000 per visa. Use the money to step up workplace inspection to prevent frauds, to secure the border, and to fund US citizens to study Computer Science and Computer Engineering.

Another visa we must cancel is the the Optional Practical Training or OPT. Stupid Obama extended this Bush stupidity from 12 to 29 months. This visa actually gives US employers tax incentives to hire foreign grads — of any major — ahead of our own grad, giving them the crucial entry level experience that propels them to full time positions later on. This stupidity must end.

Trump's "Buy American, hire American" has turned out to be yet another big fat lie, like everything else he promised on the campaign trail. I don't even know how this man can look himself in the mirror every day.

Just talking number and not morals: a high wage economy cannot return to America without a moderate amount of growth, or at least stability. Because if American goods cannot be sold abroad, there isn't going to be enough revenue coming in to pay high wages (or any wages) to those workers. And if the US goes protectionist all the way, other countries are going to reciprocate and US companies aren't going to be able to sell much abroad. The high-wage economy you are referring to came about in a peculiar set of circumstances, when America's position vis a vis most of the world was one of overwhelming advantage. More than half of the rest of the world after WW2 shot itself in both feet by adopting stupid socialist (or communist) economics, thereby crippling their growth prospects. That situation doesn't exist now.

In a true free market, wages would rise if demand exceeds supply. But thanks to scams like the H1b, we now have endless supply of third world labor, so wages will never rise. Year after year we read about the curious phenomenon of low unemployment with stagnant wages. Why do you think that is? It's because of endless supply of third world labor! Only fools and weasels profiting directly from this scheme continue to support this visa, like employers, HR people, staffing agencies, property developers and real estate agents.

Trump has done absolutely nothing on H1b since he started. Immigration was the main reason I voted for him, along with the no-more-wars foreign policy he espoused. He has basically gone against everything he promised. His entire admin has been hijacked by libtard Jews like Javanka and Goldman Sachs. Henry Ford paid his people $5.00 per day, when the average wage was about $1.50 per day. This was done in order to stabilize his workforce, but was also done as Ford believed that his workers should be able to afford his products.

Henry Ford was no social justice warrior angling to build an American middle class. Ford paid his workers $5/day so that he'd have a stable workforce that would be likely to buy his cars. This is an entirely different motivational framework than a belief in the right of his workers to have the ability to afford Ford products.

Business owners are not altruists looking to improve the lives of workers. They are engaged in fine and worthy pursuits that benefit us all, but they certainly aren't doing it for us.

Exhibit 1: Donald Trump ran for President to improve his brand, which is the only thing he sells. While President, he continues to sell his brand. Any good consequence accruing to the citizens of the US are merely coincidental.

    Replies: @anarchyst

I think you are confusing business owners who actually produce things (Ford) vs. the “wall street” business owners (and banksters who produce nothing) that chew up productive business by dismantling them for their intrinsic value. Looking through Ford’s writings, as he was born “dirt poor”, he did possess a certain amount of (somewhat) paternalistic altruism.
The attentive, honest business owner does look out for the interests of his employees, as they are part of the business equation, something that is lost in most businesses (and business schools) today.

Just talking number and not morals: a high wage economy cannot return to America without a moderate amount of growth, or at least stability. Because if American goods cannot be sold abroad, there isn’t going to be enough revenue coming in to pay high wages (or any wages) to those workers. And if the US goes protectionist all the way, other countries are going to reciprocate and US companies aren’t going to be able to sell much abroad. The high-wage economy you are referring to came about in a peculiar set of circumstances, when America’s position vis a vis most of the world was one of overwhelming advantage. More than half of the rest of the world after WW2 shot itself in both feet by adopting stupid socialist (or communist) economics, thereby crippling their growth prospects. That situation doesn’t exist now.

Trump openly said he is not opposed to LEGAL immigration. Even his proposed reforms to the H1-B program would only police the greatest abuses (workers at 1/10th the market wage). Not H1-Bs hired by Apple and Google who are paid $140K instead of $150K that an American would get.

You thought Trump was going to clamp down on LEGAL immigration? Sucker!!!!!

As a “kid” I spent many years working construction, sunup to sundown, in Southern California. Helped rough frame lots of track/custom homes. I loved the work, even though it beat the crap out of your body.

Remembered showing up to construction sites at dawn, and it'd be a crew of colorful characters, skilled carpenters from Alabama, Washington, Florida, Colorado, all corners of America.

Fast forward, and I remember showing up to construction sites, and it'd be a rabble of lazy drag-ass illegals. That's when I decided to walk away from that trade.

Henry Ford was no social justice warrior angling to build an American middle class. Ford paid his workers $5/day so that he’d have a stable workforce that would be likely to buy his cars. This is an entirely different motivational framework than a belief in the right of his workers to have the ability to afford Ford products.

I think you are confusing business owners who actually produce things (Ford) vs. the "wall street" business owners (and banksters who produce nothing) that chew up productive business by dismantling them for their intrinsic value. Looking through Ford's writings, as he was born "dirt poor", he did possess a certain amount of (somewhat) paternalistic altruism.
The attentive, honest business owner does look out for the interests of his employees, as they are part of the business equation, something that is lost in most businesses (and business schools) today.

Several years ago I was a contractor working for an auto part supply company when they announced that I was being replaced by a dark skinned and smelly Infosys employee. Although he was pleasant and cheerful he clearly had little experience or knowledge. This being a German speaking company and he being an "English" speaker, the entire company had difficulties translating his Indian-English to their German-English.

Ford paid $2.40 a day plus $2.60 "profit sharing" contingent on things like learning English, hygiene, work ethic, etc. His objective was to inoculate his labor against rampant communist unionists who found easier prey in Detroit's immigrant heavy workforce than among natives.

Ford's issues with Jews were cultural (support for communism, smut, etc) and financial (his attacks on German Jewish bankers etc).

The Ford/Firestone family has retained Henry's paternalistic impulses to some extent with all the major family players still in the Detroit area along with HQ, engineering, etc.
