I think Popper was right, about science needing falsifiability. It’s sort of baked into the method. Popper’s assertions are useful in that they point out when science is fraudulently claimed to be the authority in an argument, however, science is not the only game in town. It is fabulously useful for technology, but cannot be used to falsify a historical accounting.

Logic leads us to conclusions, and logic is a tool used in scientific method, but logic is not owned by science. Logic and seeing patterns are not science, but ancillary to the method. In a lot of endeavors science serves the same function as accreditation and the cherished documents of accreditation. That’s useful in commerce and controlling potentially unscrupulous operators, but it is not an end all or be all.
