Due to my parents’ deteriorating financial situation, we were forced to go to a different Catholic elementary school with a considerable number of blacks. The educational standards were much lower, the black students being disruptive despite most of the teachers attempting to do their best to teach these blacks who were not interested in education. Yes, black behavior infected Catholic schools of the day as well.

I lived in an urban area for a period that was secular liberal and they segregated the students across three schools.

The degree and success of their scheme was quite impressive given the politics of the area. It was a very liberal area and they kept one school White and Asian. Liberals fully support diversity education for someone else’s children but not their own. The White/Asian school had a lot of wealthy donors and no one said anything about the demographics. The main teacher even received some major state award for the kids being ahead.

I never knew their ruse but they were actually bussing kids across town. I suspected it was something along the lines of income based assistance. As in your child qualifies for free breakfast so we will bus him downtown. That small school near you doesn’t have a cafeteria.
