I was amused to see more than one study related to validating automated fact checking and assessing human fact checkers.
Admittedly without having looked at the all the articles, the field’s orientation towards automation and reliance on stipulated final authorities suggests they are validating the accuracy of fact checking against authorities against.. fact checking.
