Many thanks for your prompt response!

I tried it today. Installation went fine. (Please note that tar seems to 
not be installed by default on RHEL/Rocky 9 and installation did not 
check for it, so I had to install it manually following an error.)

First backup run exited with a mindi error. I attach logs (gzipped).

I see:

    ... INFO: Deleting devfsd daemon from ramdisk       ...because
    /sbin/devfsd not found cp: error writing
    '/tmp/mondo.tmp.AghVu8/mountpoint.29707/tmp/mountlist.txt': No space
    left on device FATAL ERROR. Cannot copy mountlist to ramdisk ...

but there is surely no issue with disk space:

So could you try to install the packages available at
ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/rocky/9/x86_64 (+ EPEL for perl deps) and let
me know whether it's working or not (didn't check yet but will).

Plans yes as the infra is prepare for that. When is the major question.
I've been so busy on stuff outside of MOndoRescue that I've not make any
real progress in the last 5 years !!

What I need to work on:
- Solve the trac issue (doesn't work anymore and I need it to follow
   development)
- Build a rhel-9 image suited for MondoRescue with the dependencies
   ready (afio, buffer, and the like)
- Integrate some of the latest patches floating around and consolidate
   all that in a single branch.
- Test the prodiced rhel9 mondo/mindi pakgs with a backup/restore
   operation of a test VM. 

So it's not for tomorrow :-( The debt is here and wo'nt be solved
rapidly. The good news, is that I have these months ahead more time to
come back to that, and already started to work on some of these
technical aspects.

Will let you know when something is worth testing. Will probably be
based on current version, just rebuilt for rhel9.

Of course, I'll work with rocky as a base.

Are there any plans to support RHEL 9? I don't see an RHEL 9 branch on 
the mondo FTP RHEL tree.
