Helo Bruno, I changed the directory to save the image on /home directory which still has enough space. The free space is and when I run again the command mondoarchive I got a different error below. mkfs.vfat 3.0.9 (31 Jan 2010) INFO: Mounting /home/adf_user/tmp//mondo.tmp.nECDSv/mindi-bootroot.img on /home/adf_user/tmp//mondo.tmp.nECDSv/mpt mount: unknown filesystem type 'vfat' ERROR: Unable to mount /home/adf_user/tmp//mondo.tmp.nECDSv/mindi-bootroot.img on /home/adf_user/tmp//mondo.tmp.nECDSv/mpt I don't understand, when I try to google I see other post with this error when they try to mount a usb device on a server. Is this possible? With the way it's done now, no it's not possible. -E only works for directories, and there is no other option for files. Any way to isolate the files in different dirs on your side ? (you may reconcile that with symlinks). I know it's not a solution, but a workaround. Again, while I do most of my tests on RHEL/SLES, we have lots of users using MondoRescue on other distros, including Debian. I'll come back to you when I find something relevant. Hello Bruno, My server is running Debian 6.0.10 and the kernel version is 2.6.38.8. On the link you shared with me I don't see any similar case to mine. However, I managed to run mondoresue on one of the centos server and I was able to create the image. Does mondo work on Debian as well? Because I tried it on two different servers running Debian in vain. Regards, USHIZIMPUMU FRANK Senior Infrastructure Consultant Tel: +250788389980 Skype ID: frankous02 Email: fra...@ad... Some explanations are available here https://brunocornec.wordpress.com/2018/05/03/some-news/ However, I'm also having technical issues making 3.3 work. I've done multiple tests these last weeks, on RHEL 7.3 and SLES 12 SP3 and I have an issue with the bootloader restoration with this version, I hadn't with 3.2. There is now an issue with the active partition restoratin, that I'll work on next, but it seems it won't be sufficient. If some of you are willing to help debug (at least report) what they find on their distro of choice, please tell me your distro and i'll make packages for you to test. Hello Bruno, I am very happy that you responded. After I increase the EXTRA_SPACE to 700000 I am still getting the same errors. If you can check the mindi.log file I sent earlier you can see this error: FATAL ERROR. Not enough room for temporary ramdisk (MakeBootInitFile). What does that error mean? I didn't attach the log files as they show the same error massages. Thank you! USHIZIMPUMU FRANK Senior Infrastructure Consultant Tel: +250788389980 Skype ID: frankous02 Email: fra...@ad... Hello support team, I have installed mondorescue on Debian 6 to be able to create an iso image for the VM that can be used to restore the same environment. However, I am facing issues during the image creation. For more details please see the log files for mondoarchive as well as for mindi.log. Your support will be highly appreciated.
