Although I don't think it's all bad, there are some health situations for some people for carnivore or keto where it can be positive, at least for a period of time, it's become a fad diet with a ton of grifting around it.

Baker and Berry are doctors who lost their medical license. And this is a common theme in this area. I believe Ovadia is not a cardiologist, he's a surgeon. I think he means well, but there's a difference of perspective and understanding. There was a good debate someone did with him. Eric Berg isn't a doctor, he's an 'out of practice' chiropractor, a scientologist and an incompetent moron.

McCullough skirts far close to grifty content in my view. Every single person who was a voice of dissent during covid, has become like this, or they became an outright crank like Michael Yeadon. Which serious voices remain?

But as far as I can tell he's right on this.

What's interesting, and I've made point here many times, the food pyramid was actually gone. It was a relic that was scrapped years ago, but too many people thought it was still policy and 'imposing' refined carbs and gonad-destroying soy on them, and that it was responsible for all their health problems.

The double irony is, hardly anyone stuck to it as a guide to eat anyway.

What RFK has done is resurrect it in this form to 'own the soyjacks'. It's not all bad, but it's not entirely science or medicine based. It's meme and influencer based.

And I don't like this phrase that's come up around it, 'nutrient-dense food'. This phrase I cannot stand. It's a loaded term, it's just coming out of Instagram and YouTube and a bunch of health influencers who are selling their shitty useless supplements to old grannies.

Seem to remember there was also a claim he worked for Porton Down, the UK's bio/chem warfare test site, which has now vanished, and may be disinfo/ incorrect to be fair, but if it were true, you might wonder if he was actually still working for them.

  • So why should the government be recommending this or that diet? Let the various promoters of this or that “way of eating” do that job and then we can decide. But I think that as a rule, people eat whatever they crave and they can’t help it, so maybe that is the way it should remain. Eventually the shit hits the fan for you. Nothing is gained by denying yourself food that you want really bad, all the time. We should not have to exercise our will 3 times a day in that fashion.

Everyone gets sick sooner or later; it is NOT just about food. Living in a mega-stressful society is far worse than too much carb or too much fat. JMO, folks, JMO.

Not quite correct. The plan from the start had been for Morita to kill himself after having delivered the coup de grace to Mishima. Also, 'second' is from western dueling, and not an equivalent term.

Morita, as you say, made a mess of it, so one of the other three had to step in to deliver the decapitating strike. The ideal was near-total decapitation, but leaving the head hanging from the body, not just 'severing the spinal cord'. The other three had all been ordered to stay alive, which they did. At least into the early 2010s, they still had some political influence.

I still like the film by Schrader; it had a great structure: four cycles of biographical scene, beautifully staged scene from a novel, and scene from his last day. The film does include scenes that are not to his credit, faking illness to avoid wartime service, the bad reactions to his speech from the balcony.

I tried to find the video of his debate at Tokyo University, which used to be easy, to post it here. U-tube these days makes many videos that are actually in the public domain no longer available. Schrader re-creates it quite well, although the students at the actual event were more hostile.

Schrader's film was banned in Japan for some years at the request of Mishima's widow.

In the late 2010s I read that Hollywood was planning a remake, between the writer's 'strike' and coronamania, it never proceeded, which is great.

That many Japanese literati of the time continued to believe that Mishima was really a leftist even after he set up his toy-soldier army is quite a good joke on the leftist literati.

Too long a comment already, but for those whining that Taylor never raises the J.Q., he does so at least twice in this essay/review.

Neoconservatives are pleased with President Trump’s foreign policy.

A couple of months back, Bloomberg’s Eli Lake let it be known that he was in neoconservative nirvana: ‘… for Venezuela, [Donald Trump] came very close to calling for regime change. ‘The United States has taken important steps to hold the regime accountable,’ Trump said. ‘We are prepared to take further action if the government of Venezuela persists on its path to impose authoritarian rule on the Venezuelan people.’

‘For a moment,” swooned Lake, ‘I closed my eyes and thought I was listening to a Weekly Standard editorial meeting.’ (“How President Trump Normalized Neoconservatism,” Ilana Mercer, January 3, 2018)

You're showing me some blown up buildings, videos of destruction that pale in comparison to what the Israelis have done in Gaza (only 60 thousand dead there)

Any scam as big as the Ukraine fake war is going to have to have props, old damaged buildings make easy props.

Regardless the mainstream media say/imply that Russians and Ukrainians are being killed in the hundred's of thousands

The idea that Ukraine and Russia both with already declining birthrates and whose populations are total materialists would throw the lives of their menfolk away on the fake Border "war" is ludicrous.

There would be revolution if even a fraction of the number were killed

And the idea Russia and Ukraine are Stalinist regimes where all the men are being herded at gun point to war is BS because Russians and Ukrainians can leave their countries

There are Russians and Ukrainians every where in the world

Why would they stay home to get slaughtered if they could leave?

As I said before; the Ukraine "war" is a fake war drummed up by fake Jews to sweep their murderous covid fraud under the rug.

    Which is exactly what happened

Just about everyone is so damn stupid, and their noses so far up the idea that you can die or at least become very sick because someone breathed on you, that the vast majority will never, ever get upset over the corona 19 fraud, including the mandates.

For a good long part of human history, if not all of it, humans eagerly glommed onto the theory that acute illness was inflicted on them by a streak in the stars (malevolent constellations), angry gods, curses by evil spirits, etc. Today, the more sophisticated (?) medical industry and general population refer to these purported killers as “germs”.

So, I doubt that this war in Ukraine was drummed up for the purpose of deflecting attention from some revelations (completely ignored by mainstream media) that there was no killer virus and the jab both unnecessary and harmful. The folks who run things know that most people are mighty blind and even if their eyes were opened en masse, they wouldn’t actually do anything. They have to justify having taken all those needles.

I didn't grow up in the 60s or 70s, so I don't really know how big she was back then. I remember her more for her pro-animal and anti-Muslim later stances.

Did she even make a lot of memorable films? In that sense, Catherine Deneuve seems to have chosen better roles (or was the better actress).

It seems that most were silly things, like "Barbarella". I personally only remember Bardot in Godard's "Le Méprise", which I found pretty boring when I saw it years ago, despite some nice scenes at Casa Malaparte in Capri. Then again, I never much liked Godard.

BB- a true beauty and a PATRIOT of her country and of European peoples. We can forgive her little eccentricities (she was a tad fanatical about animal rights (animal rights are, of course, important but she carried it a little too far) and more promiscuous than necessary (but hey Roger Vadim kind of corrupted a nice devout traditional Catholic girl and sex freedom was the spirit of her time) because let's face it nobody is perfect but even so regarding Europe and European-derived peoples she saw clearly which was and is unusual for a celebrity.

One little anecdote: when she was going to marry her no-good German playboy husband in the sixties she actually visited President de Gaulle (what a man! the last great Frenchman!) to ask permission if it was OK to marry a German! De Gaulle invited the couple over and said to the no-good German playboy in perfect German that he has no ill-will against German people and yes he gives permission to the greatest French beauty to marry a German. Kind of weird but imagine a movie star today actually feeling the need to ask permission of the leader of her country to marry someone who was regarded as a traditional enemy.

Since the game is to exterminate Whitey, the first cat out of the bag is the attempted denigration of eugenics.

Several apparatchiks here use the word eugenics as a synonym for irrational hatred and mass murder. The application of eugenics is only complicated because the adversary of the White Race has total full spectrum dominance of the media.

If the fertile women of a population were allowed to choose the biological father of their children from a catalog everyone would see marked improvement in the beauty of the children over night.

And then to save the day from those bad eugenicists, a shrew and malcontent would step forth and say: humanity was being threatened because those with hereditary blindness were being excluded from the available pool.

By definition, those who survive to produce the next generation are the survivors. Has nothing to do with those deemed prettiest or strongest in the opinion of observers. The most fit are only identifiable after the fact.

The fittest also refers to those who are the fittest in any given environment. Any change in environment can alter the selection of the reproducers. Indeed, this is always the case, from generation to generation.

  • @Constant Walker
All this bitching at and about Donald J. Trump is absolutely without any discernible beneficial effect on him or his sycophants or his fan base. Its utter futility has to wear-down those who do so much of it, though.

The presumed “dignity” of the U.S. Presidency has existed more in wishful-thinking than in actual fact for quite some time now. What Mr. Giraldi is maybe reluctant to acknowledge here, because the implications are so depressing, is that “Americans” have been getting the “leadership” that matches their own compromised and corrupted national character for most of its existence. Occasional apparent exceptions generally turn-out later to’ve been illusory.

There are those who will say this is a harsh thing to say about people who are on-balance not much better or worse than everyone else. Mebbe so, but the vast gulf between the “self”-image they claim, and insist the world accept, and the reality of their behavior and attitudes, does tend to offer a stark and hardly complimentary contrast between the one and the other.

The Trump iteration does no-doubt signify a much further fall from even earlier nadirs than most could imagine, and so seems especially discouraging for people who see a return to some less-than-outright-mortifying state of national affairs as still within the realm of the politically and socially possible. Us surviving Free Wild Natural Peoples here in Indian Country, however, watched the last of that never-very-significant possibility go up in smoke with the first U.S. violation of the first treaty supposed to be “the supreme law of the land.” It’s only been ever deeper into the abyss of shame since then. The present “trend” gives no sensible cause whatsoever for any optimism about what’s racing down on “America” right now.

Liza, you like to talk as if you can just describe subjects like "Anthroposophy" and "Theosophy" from the dictionary or encyclopedia, and convey what they mean. They're both somebody's idea of a spiritual path, right? Neither are what I'm talking about, but I can certainly see why folks would think so. Truth cannot be pinned down so easily, however.

The truth is one (ONE) and its name is "I" (I AM). That's why the Zen masters teach their students to say "Not two." When I first read that, I loved it. It's almost as good a 2-word maxim as "Know thyself." I know I'm being cryptic but it has to be so; there's no other way. So we can forget about your Jewish pen pal and what she told you.

"Race trumps religion" you say. But we're not talking about religion, we're talking about a state of being called Spiritual. Spiritual means it's not of the flesh, so your assuredness that " body and spirit are connected, hand in glove, and can’t be separated" is false. They are joined together temporarily only, and separated at the death of the body. In fact, they're separated every night in sleep. My body is perhaps less "I" than my mind is, but my mind is also separate in deep sleep.

I'm only telling you this to point out the rashness of some of your assumptions. The first step is to realize "you don't know" and other people don't know either. Then you look to your direct experience and investigate that. Question that. God is directly experienced only. Not taught. "Not two." If this is not worth your time, forget it and continue on your way. You're not ready. It's perfectly okay.

It seems very difficult, but it's not even hard. It's easy. Making it hard is our problem. If we could stop that, we'd be home free. The one that makes us think it's difficult is the ego. Learn about the ego, study the ego. The ego invented religion because it loves hierarchy (among other things), which keeps us all divided.

All this just to make the point that we don't choose whether we want to become spiritual or not, we are and can't not be. We do choose whether to enter a body-mind-ego. And notice--we don't stay there. All the best.

Covid Vaccines from a Spiritual Perspective
By Thomas Mayer – 30 Q&As – Unbekoming Book Summary
    UNBEKOMING
    DEC 30, 2025

    Excerpt:

In 2021, as covid vaccination campaigns reached unprecedented scale, a German meditation teacher named Thomas Mayer began coordinating an unusual research project. More than fifty practitioners across Switzerland and Germany—organized into independent working groups—applied methods of supersensible perception to examine what they understood to be the spiritual effects of covid vaccines. These practitioners, trained in the anthroposophical tradition founded by Rudolf Steiner, claimed the ability to perceive aspects of human beings invisible to ordinary senses: the etheric body, the astral body, the guardian angel, and other components they consider integral to human existence. Their findings, compiled in this volume, constitute what Mayer describes as the first systematic examination of spiritual vaccine damage.

The central claims are stark. According to these researchers, the Western mRNA and vector vaccines introduce spiritual beings they term “Spirits of Transhumanism” that compress the etheric body, separate humans from their guardian angels, block chakras, and strengthen shadow aspects of the personality. The afterlife findings are particularly dramatic: of forty-eight vaccinated deceased examined, the researchers report forty-seven remained earthbound—trapped in darkness, unable to experience normal post-death processes, disconnected from spiritual guidance. The book presents detailed case studies, comparative observations of different vaccines, and protocols for what Mayer calls spiritual healing of vaccine effects. Chinese and Russian vaccines are described as producing notably different and milder effects than their Western counterparts.

For as much as I can grasp, it sounds all rather horrifying to me. Where is that merciful God I keep being told about…I sure hope YOU didn’t get the kill shot.

    • Replies: @Carolyn Yeager
    @Liza

No, I don't get shots. I've never had a flu shot, and therefore don't get the flu. :-)

I hope you don't put any stock in what these people are saying. I don't. They're a cult. I don't believe in evil spirits, per say. They're mental shadows blocking the light. It's impossible to be "disconnected from spiritual guidance" except by your own choice, which you can reverse at any time. We are freer than we know, which is nothing to be afraid of.

Whatever you do, don't blame God or think He's not doing His job. Look to yourself. But thanks for caring about me.

Just by way of discussion, I thought the following might be mildly interesting to you. I’m in the “I don’t have these matters quite figured out” category.

Some years ago I had a jewish penpal (who I found through the vegetarian society in another city). She loved to preach at me, anything and everything, such a know it all. She said, “Nothing can harm you because you are spirit”. It got to the point where I was scared to say anything to her at all, but she was not a bad person, just bossy.

That statement of hers implies that one’s spirit cannot be harmed. That only the physical body can. But for those of you who are into these kinds of things, the body and spirit are connected, hand in glove; they can’t be separated. So I don’t think she knew what she was saying.

Theosophy, occult movement originating in the 19th century with roots that can be traced to ancient Gnosticism and Neoplatonism. In modern times, theosophical views have been held by Rosicrucians and by speculative Freemasons. (from an encyclopedia)

I got that occult movement, Theosophy, confused with Anthroposophy when we were having some discussions, and she was quick to let me know she was a theosophist, not a follower of anthroposophy. Maybe a little too Germanic or Christian-related for her, I dunno. If you read up on anthroposophy in wikipedia you might find it interesting reading.

Anyway, my penpal was buried in a jewish cemetery with a star on her grave stone. (She died young; she admitted she came from a genetically poor background with both parents having died young, too.) I think she dumped the theosophy stuff and went back to her deep roots. LOL. Race trumps religion, always.

Thanks again for entering in here, grettir. I actually appreciate the following comment from you :

… I am quite willing to forgive and ignore the female penchant for ‘spirituality.’

because it at least brings the subject into the conversation. I have to admit that I am perplexed by the male unwillingness to recognize the spiritual as a reality — although it’s not present in all males, and maybe not even in most. FYI, I speak only of Spirit and Spiritual, not Spirituality or Spiritualism. I’m not sure what those two terms mean.

The Spiritual element in everyone’s experience has been evident for as long as any of us can discover. Who can think that what we can see with our physical eyes, hear, taste, touch with our physical body organs is the extent of our experience? I realize that people (men? lol) can posit that the Mind contributes all the rest. But what is the Mind? Dave cannot explain, describe or define what it is or where it is. Right? I can, but you/he wouldn’t accept what I say because you deny it exists, can exist.

Dave has said to me more than once, “Don’t blame me for your ignorance.” I have put up with a lot of insults from him. Thus I decided to use “crude language” so he would know I didn’t accept such treatment/talk from him. I am not a hypocrite and won’t quietly accept being called one. I wasn’t angry, tho he greatly wishes I were. He’s a friggin’ ass and is making an ass of himself, but can’t see it.

“Blodgie” agrees with Dave and calls grettir “a Proud Christian whose mind is governed by Belief” of which he is “unconscious.” A fanciful thought! He and Dave are both mired in Belief in the cult of physics and natural science. In passing, Dave wrote:
“The Christians had their “own way of trying to understand the world”; the Hindus had a different way.”
No, the Christian and Hindu way are the same; the Muslims are different. Will Dave and/or Blodgie give us an exposition on that? Why does Dave say they are all different? Does he know what he’s talking about?
    ____________________

I must add a few words in response to Dave’s charge that I cannot provide a single argument against his claim that “Natural Science” is the only discipline that has” discovered important truths about reality rather than just fabricating lies.” He lists for the second time all the advances in public health and comfort made by scientists, such as electronics, artificial fabrics and plastics (among other things). Plastic is now EVERYWHERE in our advanced societies. Just today, I happened to see a typical news story here: https://www.foxnews.com/health/common-household-chemicals-linked-increased-risk-serious-neurological-condition

PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as “forever chemicals,” are used in some common household products, such as non-stick cookware, textiles and cleaning products. They have also been found in drinking water throughout the U.S., according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. …

PCBs, or polychlorinated biphenyls, are toxic industrial chemicals once widely used in electrical equipment before being banned decades ago, as stated by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. …

Fellow researcher Aina Vaivade noted that risk assessments should consider chemical mixtures, not just individual exposures, because people are typically exposed to multiple substances at the same time.

Multiple sclerosis is a disease that leads to the breakdown of the protective coverings that surround nerve fibers.
The immune system’s attack on these nerve sheaths can cause numbness, weakness, trouble walking and moving, vision changes and other symptoms, and can lead to permanent damage.
there is currently no cure for MS, Mayo Clinic reports, but treatment is available to manage symptoms and modify the course of the disease.

There are thousands of similar articles/stories since these “miracle” advances from our science saviors were in circulation in the past 100 years. It was much worse before, you say? Not for everyone, and maybe not for most. We live in fear today every bit as much as we always have. Just different bogeymen. Prescription drugs alter body processes in such a way as to bring on/create new disruptions/diseases that replace what they’re meant to “fix.” Sometimes they just hide the old symptoms. There is seldom any real fix. You are never as good as you once were. Old age remains a challenge.

And in case you were going to ask, I attribute my state of health into old age (not perfect!) to meeting/learning from, in my ’30s, a gifted chiropractor/healer who led me to the right food for me and a generous list of nutritional supplements that brought me to the peak of health from an already evident decline. It was not seeing doctors & listening to their advice or taking any kind of medical science potions.

BTW, I don’t take pain killers, antibiotics, over the counter drugs except when absolutely necessary, which is almost never.

Dear Carolyn, it's very cheering that I caught your eye.

My unguarded opinion would be that our feelings/beliefs about the spiritual derive at least in part from our biological roles. Men have a provide and protect function (farm, fight, build, ...) that leads to a heightened concern for accurate physical perception of the world. For my money, spiritual views, like aesthetic views are straightforward expressions of what's in the individual brain, and beyond doubt women have nurturing, caring brains, as a generalised instinct perhaps that's spiritual. Cf E O Wilson.

I think Dave knows he's full of it. He just gets a kick out of winding people up. And he's so often found himself the smartest guy in the room that he starts to kid himself that he's got a hotline to truth.

I always enjoy reading you. We seem to agree on a lot of things, but come to them from drastically different perspectives. E.g. I'm solidly national socialist, but sort of regretfully, and not very enthusiastically.

I've just completed a long essay (officially on European poetry); it would be a small repayment for your work to send you a copy if you're interested in more of how my mind ticks. Unz needs a literary corner.

Equally unguarded information about yours truly: v. minor mathematician, published two papers that no one cares a rat's arse about, measured IQ a very unremarlable 142, Americans I like are HL Mencken and Revilo Oliver, old age is crap, 79 and currently dying in much very bad-tempered discomfort. True.

Our oh-so-spiritual friends tell us that they have deep knowledge of reality, but they never tell us clearly what it is.

Actually, most scientists do not do that.

The dividing line between races is somewhat arbitrary, of course, but no one seriously doubts that there are genetic differences between, say, Chinese and Swedes.

And, as to egalitarianism, you simply will not see that or equivalent words in most science textbooks.

Again, no one really doubts that there are dramatic differences among human beings: obviously, I am not Michael Phelps' equal as an athlete nor is he my equal in my understanding of math and physics.

Egalitarianism is not a scientific doctrine: it is a political, social, and moral concept.

As to whether it is a good idea... well, trying to force people to be equal economically has of course led to catastrophic, indeed murderous results.

The tradition of the American Founding was that citizens should be equal before the law, which is a very different matter. And moral equality, as traditionally conceived in America (and, in fact, in Christianity, though certainly not in Judaism!) was simply the idea that human beings should be judged as individuals, based on their own actions.

I certainly adhere to both of those traditional American positions, as must anyone who is loyal to the American Republic, but science really has nothing to say about such matters one way or the other.

And, yes, I know you can find leftists who claim "Science says..." on these matters, but they are rarely scientists who say this.

Of course, by far the most famous statement of anarchist principles by an American is Thoreau’s famous Essay, which you really should read, even if you can’t bring yourself to read Locke! It’s short, pithy, and readable.

I may have read Locke in HS or college & didn't retain it (I was an art student), but I did retain Thoreau's “Civil Disobedience.” I well remember when I was ready to read Thoreau I was excited at the prospect. But the actual Thoreau was never exciting to me. I was disappointed, I expected something better. I DID get excited over Ralph Waldo Emerson's essays, especially the first one I ever read, from my father's small library.

Today, I think it was because I had already, on my own, experienced the desire to withdraw from the world, though I could not have gone into the woods and lived alone, with no grocery outlet nearby. I still couldn't. But I can live alone for a long long time, with books for company. Now, in my older years I wouldn't even need the books.

It's a question of the inner life over the outer life. Something that is not included in simple libertarianism, which is about government, etc., not the Self. Thoreau was really very involved with other people, moralizing to them.

The Emerson-Thoreau pairing is similar in my mind to the Plato-Aristotle pairing. I loved reading Plato, still do, but couldn't get interested in Aristotle. I also liken Plato/Emerson to math and physical science, and Aristotle/Thoreau to biology and natural science. I am way partial to the first over the second. It must be like having two children and getting along much better with one over the other. It's one's nature.

So I won't read Thoreau now; just not interested. I think Thoreau was/is too much of a moralist for me. The Moral is not the ultimate good for me, but the Truth is. I discovered this as a certainty only very recently. But I should have always known. I've always felt reverent toward the words Truth, Freedom and Knowledge, but why not “Good?” No, Good, Virtue or even Love never came up. But Truth was all those things for me.

I now see life in the world as a choice between Truth and Lie. The Lie is the opposite … Satan if you will. Yet it does not actually exist! But we believe it does because we invented it!! Very deep. Not for beginners. It's why Jesus spoke in parables.

Now don't you worry yourself, Davey. You don't have to get it all right away. You can take all the time you want/need to work your way up and out of your entangling intellectualism. We have eternity. It's like a game. But it really impressed me when I read somewhere in this past year that humans waste the vast majority of their time on earth. Except for little bits and pieces, it's all wasted. We come to learn these things, but we get distracted by all the fascinating teaching materials we encounter here. It's sad and hilarious at the same time.

I hope the time I spent writing this was not wasted. But if it is, c'est la vie. Doing it helps me.

Science and the Scientific Method is a cult.

I don’t know if it was always that way, but in any case, it sure has morphed into scientism (recentest definition is: Scientism is the belief that science and the scientific method are the best or only way to render truth about the world and reality.) wikipedia

Scientism goes back at least to the nineteenth century: both Freud and Marx believed that they had developed scientific theories of human behavior or human society.

    Both were, of course, wrong.

And it continued through the twentieth century: as I have mentioned, I seriously considered going into economics rather than physics, and I actually had an offer to do a post-doc in economics after getting my Pf.D. in physics (I would be far from the first person to make that switch).

I am in fact critical of most mid-to-late twentieth century economics because, yes, it is indeed an example of scientism, what is colloquially known as "physics envy." It pretended to use mathematical tools of the sort we use in physics, with the pretense of being able to predict and even control the economic system.

Of course, anyone at all familiar with the history of the last sixty years knows that the economists never came close to achieving those goals at all.

And, hence, I am an adherent of the Austrian school -- Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, et al. -- which is strongly critical of the "physics envy" which dominated twentieth-century economics.

    It simply did not work.

By the way, my own mentor in physics, Richard Feynman, went to the trouble to read Paul Samuelson's Foundations of Economic Analysis, which is generally considered a seminal work in mathematical economics. He was unimpressed, viewing it as a clearly unsuccessful attempt to ape natural science.

And that is part of the point I am making to Carolyn: it is only natural science that has succeeded in uncovering general, non-obvious, substantive, positive, systematic, and well-verified truths about reality.

Attempts to ape the success of natural science in other fields -- economics, psychology, etc. -- have quite obviously failed.

I am truly, genuinely curious if anyone can give me any examples of general, non-obvious, substantive, positive, systematic, and well-verified truths about reality from any discipline aside from natural science.

No one ever has, and I have been asking this question for many years.

    Liza also wrote:

Have any of those other ways "of trying to understand the world" ever succeeded? It seems to me that Pascal had a point when he declared that what was truth on one side of the Pyrenees was error on the other side!

The Christians had their "own way of trying to understand the world"; the Hindus had a different way. The Buddhists had their way; the Muslims' way was again different.

But natural science is just as true to the Muslims in Iran as it is to Christians in Argentina, as shown by the fact that when Iranians want to enrich uranium, they rely on natural science.

The anthropologist and philosopher Ernest Gellner wrote about this in great detail: one of his associates summed up Gellner's thought by saying that modern natural science, for the first time in human history, put the "well of truth" outside the walls of the city. I.e., for the first time, it did not matter what your society claimed to be true, but all that mattered was what actually was proven by observation and experiment.

Which is why natural science is the same in Beijing as in Paris, in Tehran as in LA.

The last four centuries are in fact the most rapid revolution in human history: the average European's life in 1600 was more similar to his ancestors' lives in 500 AD than to our lives now.

Everyone knows this, of course, but we tend to forget how dramatic this has been.

Bu the way, another author who has addressed in detail how unique Western natural science is compared to other civilizations is Toby Huff.

Anyway, if you disagree with me, by all means please provide examples of general, non-obvious, substantive, positive, systematic, and well-verified truths about reality arrived at by some means other than natural science.

I've offered this challenge to countless people over the years -- an awful lot of them have gotten awfully, terribly, really, really angry.

But no one has ever come up with an example.

I don't doubt this at all. But at the same time, Morocco has an unshakable reputation as a haven of beggars, hustlers and tricksters, who regard their swindles and cons as admirable shakedowns of naive foreign tourists.

In this, Morocco reminds me of Argentina, with which I'm somewhat more familiar:

"Viveza criolla" is Spanish language phrase literally meaning "creole vivacity" and may be translated as "creole cleverness" or "creole cunning."

It is a philosophy of progress along the line of least resistance, ignoring rules, and with no sense of responsibility or consideration for others. It extends to all social groups and throughout the entirety of society. In Argentina, it is predominantly associated with Buenos Aires and its inhabitants, the porteños.

It includes the tendency to take advantage of or cheat others in favor of one's own self-interests, partially for reasons of self-protection and mistrust, but also to assert one's superiority and "quick-wittedness" over another.

This “creole cunning” is the Code of Ethics of the Jews.

There is only one wrong, immoral act in the Jewish Code of Ethics and that is to disrupt, expose, shine a light upon another man’s grift.

Jews presume that everyone is running a scam as their way of doing the business of life. To live is to formulate a scheme by which others can be taken advantage of. Everyman has the right to invent a ploy by which he will live and die. We all do it, according to them.

Another movie about and by Jews tells the same story: House of Games. Where nothing is as it seems and the ultimate goal is to deceive the rube, the Mark, the Gentile woman. Only when she pulls a gun and shoots him is she “guilty”. She has violated the “rules of the Game” which are that one never violates the fundamental Rule.

Now Jews are well aware of this. They call it (derisively) their being “Mercurial”, in honor of He whom they call “the God of Thieves”. They openly admire his cunning, his trickery.

So, for example, to expose the lies of the Holocaust is to violate the Rule. It destroys another man’s grift. That’s a no-no and must be punished, hence the charge of “antisemitism”.

The right to film-flam the sucker born every minute is inviolate. To expose a man’s fraud takes away his livelihood and that means he can’t put food on the table for his poor children or buy his wife and lover trinkets. How could one be so mean as to advocate and do that?

  • Wasn’t it John Perkins in Confessions of an Economic Hitman who first exposed these loans as expropriation of a nation’s labor and physical assets through loans structured to be unrepayable so that the debt would be rolled over indefinitely?

Already in the Ukraine Goldman Sachs and others have set up phony banks making farm loans that will become unrepayable and ultimately result in acquisition through repossession or, better yet, perpetual debt. This is all detailed in the Oakland Institute’s white paper: “War and Theft, The Takeover of Ukraine’s Agricultural Land.”

Oy vey. Along with the Jewish “oligarchs,” one Wall Street firm affiliated with Chabad, NCR Capital, is the fifth largest landowner in the Ukraine, and an outfit from Tampa, Kopernik Global Investors, is apparently in there, too, stealing farmland and throwing the farmers and their families in the street.

    https://www.oaklandinstitute.org/sites/default/files/files-archive/takeover-ukraine-agricultural-land.pdf

“Rebuilding the Ukraine” is, of course, coded language for enslaving the Ukraine through unrepayable loans made by the banking cabal that the EU represents, which unrepayable debt is then rolled over in perpetuity. As the WEF put it, you will own nothing and be happy (to be alive under the circumstances). Everything becomes debt to the banking cabal headed by Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, City of London, and the other owners of the WEF, even the air we breathe and water we drink.

The icing on the cake with the theft of the Ukraine’s farmland, industry, and human labor is that the banking cabal that the EU represents plans on making the loans with money it steals from Russia. So, the real enemy we face isn’t Russia after all, but the bought-and-paid-for governments of the US and EU whose chief function is legitimizing the theft of the labor and assets of their own people by that same banking cabal.

    They won’t.

Quite true, because contra various anti-feminist hysterics who sneer at "strong, independent women who don't need no man," we actually really do much prefer to do it the old-fashioned way, as God intended. As you damn well know, women don't make decisions about fertility, couples do. Do you advise women to go solo, and/or quit the birth control without telling their husbands? Yes or no? Bluff called. Shut your fucking mouth about women until you can participate in an intellectually honest, good-faith discussion.

Reality check: Women had a choice throughout the Middle Ages. The nun's habit was available for women who preferred a child-free life, and yet most of them got married and had enough children to replace the population through plague and hunger due to food confiscation by men who preferred to go around killing each other over earning their own damned bread. That's why we're here today having this ridiculous conversation. You're welcome.

Now here we are in the modern world, serfdom and slavery abolished. Unwilling to pay a White man a decent wage, you've sown misery and hopelessness throughout working-class communities by outsourcing our industrial base to foreign countries who now menace us with a nuclear arsenal of their own. With so many young men dead, addicted to fentanyl, in jail for drug-related offenses, or in rehab for the fifteenth time, a working-class girl has no power to negotiate a commitment from one of the few functional men available. Unfortunately, men lack the humility to admit that they sold out their people for quarterly bonuses and campaign donations, so they lash out at women to purge their shame.

Thanks to male scientists and philosophers who killed God and then died of some sexually-transmitted pestilence or other, working-class men were pressing their advantage for freedom to come and go as they please even before fentanyl. You would send them to the store for diapers and they'd come back three days later with no diapers and no money. Now, it's far worse, and most women don't want to be de facto single mothers, as I have said.

Some of them are willing to risk it for a chance at a happy family. Having children does change some people, after all. If she settles, scrapes the bottom of the barrel, and hopes for the best, she can expect no sympathy from your sort of it backfires, that's for sure. Her lack of power to domesticate a room-temperature IQ, uneducated man with no fear of God and all the foresight and restraint of a teenage boy will be deployed as further evidence of women's lack of capacity for decision-making, as if husband material grows on trees and we're living in the Black Forest.

If she's lucky, her overgrown child will just barely pull his own weight, but will never contribute to savings for anything, nor will he lift a finger to help around the house. She may conclude that the only way to get him to stop pissing away most of his money on toys, parties, gambling or whatever is to leave and sue for child support. When she prevails and the court garnishes his wages, you moan about a grave injustice against men in the courts, blah, blah, blah.

Now, Trinity was here posing as the moderate, anti-misogynist true Scotsman against the manosphere loons like Hulkomania. He even accused me of wanting to divide men and women. What will he say about Hulkomania's modest proposal to eliminate women from the face of the Earth? Nothing, I'll wager, because he's askeert of being called mean names like "simp" or "White Knight.". You people cower while your societies are torn apart for fear of being called names, all while you accuse us of group-think and excessive conformity. If a woman shows up to babysit and suggests that you try to avoid alienating half the White race, you accuse us of "tone-policing.". Because you see, eliminationist hostility toward women is fine in substance if you just tone it down a bit. The result: a purity spiral into delusion and Insanity that rivals even the woke Left's denial of the very existence of men and women.

Seriously, what a fucking train wreck. Here's the truth of the matter. Men are bitter that women are less prone to antisocial behavior than they are, and people notice. Your strategy from the beginning of time has been to shift the blame. You know damned well that society would work better if you all cooperated with your wives, but you just can't bring yourself to submit to truth and reason, so you act out of spite as though your very manhood depends on it. After all, how can you assert what you claim to be your natural authority but by doing that which you know you should not do because it is unreasonable, even arbitrary and capricious.

    Re: Men

PRO: They do the heavy lifting. Always have. Most of them, anyway. Everything we women (and ungrateful foreigners) take for granted and which we want to continue having (housing, etc.) was put into place by men, shitty ones & good ones both. We women just can’t do these things, can’t keep the infrastructure going.

CON: Probably the vast majority of men are still small children psychologically and emotionally. Provide them with their simple needs constantly and they can be, and usually are, pleasing to have around. However, when these basic needs for food, general care and attention of various sorts are not met pronto, tantrums ensue. Not necessarily the overt, sometimes turbulent and noisy ones of the 2-year-old, but other forms – and unhappily the list is long. Homosexuality may be one result.

There is no way out of this situation, so all of us, M & F, just continue to limp along.

  • Let’s stop the nonsense that there is ever going to be comity between these nearly subhuman Somalis and we Americans. Carl Jung referred to “the African infection” to describe what these people bring to the West. This uglier-than-sin Ilhan Omar is a blood-sucking parasite who makes lampreys look attractive by comparison. The only thing these disease-ridden Somalis bring to America is crime, disease, and parasitism—which is why they were brought here by outfits like HIAS in the first place. Here’s how her sort at the top of Somali tribalism care about their fellow Somalis in Mogadishu.

  • So Israel, which has killed hundreds of Gazans, many of them children, since the so-called Ceasefire was declared on October 11th, has now stated that it is currently intending to maintain its "yellow line" occupation of more than half of the Gaza Strip. That will likely eventually make most of Gaza de facto part of...

I have often found with “Christians” like these is they generally say they are uninterested in reading the actual Bible or praying to God for understanding. And they generally get VERY angry with ANYONE who suggests that they seek God or His Word.

So this all powerful god speaks to us with His Word? Why not speak directly to us in our minds? Why do I need to believe some words in a book to know god? It is very clear men wrote the Bible, because all the prejudices of men are found in the verse. Funny how this Bible god has all the emotions and attributes of men. Would I ever know about god, or even care about god, if I was never taught god?

Something I have wondered my whole adult life, what if I was not taught this happy horseshit about god? Would I know about "god" unless I was taught that concept. If I was running free and happy in Nature and never taught god, I would probably still be running free and happy - and my curse was to be taught this evil Jew non-sense about god. God is not self evident like the lying Christians say. If you do not teach god then that person is free of god and Jew treachery. The biggest sin in the world is to indoctrinate an innocent child's mind in Jew treachery of the Holy Bible. Once the child is indoctrinated in the Jew Bible, the child can be manipulated by Jewish lies and deceptions.

God speaking to us from a book is a ruse. What is really going on is the Jews are inculcating their evil treachery in the population with Christ Insanity. By believing in a Jewish savior, Jews own Christians and can get them to do anything - like give them all the money in the world and fight their wars. Mike Huckabee is a perfect example of a Christ cuck serving Jewry. He wants our nation to help Israel any way it can. If Mike Huckabee had not grown up in the Bible belt and taught evil Jew nonsense - he would not be serving evil Israel and participating in mass murder. But Mike Huckabee is serving evil because he believes. Bible Belief is the great evil consuming Amerikan Christian culture.

I do not seek God or His Word, and let me tell you why. God must be evil to create the situation we find ourselves in on earth. Earth is hell. Only an evil and unjust God would create a place where evil rules. And it is baked into the cake, evil always rule because this place was designed (programmed) to be that way as a fundamental condition. So I do not seek some "god" who created such an evil place. And "his word" is just the words of evil men who wrote the Bible.

A perfect example of how completely evil the Jew Bible is, is the story of Abraham and Isaac. God tells his chosen subject to kill his son. The evil subject complies (a normal sane person would tell god to fuck off). The evil subject Abraham then lies to his son about going up the mountain, he is planning on killing him. The evil subject Abraham even makes his son carry the wood he is going to burn him with, because this evil character Abraham believes he must appease this god, and lying to his son is part of that equation. You see, this evil jew god is needy, it needs you to do something to make it happy. (Why would god need anything from us mere mortals? God, by definition, already has everything and needs nothing).

15And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time, 16saying, “By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your only son, 17I will surely bless you, and I will multiply your descendants like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will possess the gates of their enemies. 18And through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Abraham and Isaac is obviously a fake story written by some mother fucker who wants us to obey authority. That story is why parents allow Jews to send their children into Jew instigated wars. It is an evil story, a false story, yet the Abraham story is at the center of this whole genocide in Gaza which Mike Huckabee supports. No god told Abraham to kill his son, that is a lie on the face of it. And to obey such a tyrant is evil. Abraham is no hero or champion of morality, Abraham is the role model for Mike Huckabee, obey the evil Lord. Mike Huckabee is obedient to the evil authority because he believes and is carrying out Bible verse to the tee. It is crystal clear to me the problem with Mike Huckabee are the words in the book and his belief in them - yet no one calls out this so-called "holy" book is the source of our misery. Not one person on this god damned planet every calls out the Holy Bible as causal to our downfall. Faith and belief are the great twin evils consuming Gaza.

It is difficult to disagree with most of what you say, if not all of it. About obedience, though, followers of other religions also have the same problem, as if they are still little children who must listen to mum ‘n’ pop when they say don’t play in the street, you might get hit by a car. It’s like they never graduated from childhood.
