It's way too early to tell how this will work out. So far it seems to be going exactly according to the Colby-Mitchell-Kushner plan, or whoever it is that comes up with this stuff. Team Trump can claim successes on both the drug and illegal immigration fronts and get a low-cost big military adventure relatively inexpensively. Plus they get another Zionist compliant regime and weaken Iran's network.

Washington can probably make this work if Guaido-Machado are good chameleons. They can start to fix a lot of little things in Vz with US dollars (through unpayable loans) while not denigrating the Bolivarian ideals too much. To make this work they need to leave some of the existing power structure intact which I guess is often the dicey part. If the US planned this properly, hordes of expert workers from the US oil patch will rapidly flood in to revive the Vz petroleum sector. These people are pushy, but throw money around to make things go faster.

On the other hand, if the new puppet regime cleans house and starts to settle old scores and stirs up the hornets, the plan may not work at all.

Without wishing to adopt an attitude of uncritical admiration for Islam, there's nothing in particular to be said against it that can't be countered with a criticism of Christianity -- to say nothing of Judaism.

Equally important to my mind, is the fallacy that Muslims are some kind of monolithic bloc. I see no more reason to equate Indonesian Muslims with Moroccan Muslims than I would Swedish Lutherans and Filipino Catholics.

They're different; from what I've seen, Turkish Muslims are far more like Greek Christians than they are like Pakistani Muslims, while Pakistani Muslims are far more like Indian Hindus than they are akin to Turkish Muslims. A religious identity doesn't determine every aspect of one's culture and personality; nor does it enforce some kind of perfect uniformity. To assume otherwise is idiotic.

Morocco continues the modernization of its Royal Armed Forces. In this sense, it plans to acquire new Israeli drones capable of reaching targets up to 1,000 km.

Morocco is interested in the Harpy and Harop suicide drones, produced by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). It is negotiating the purchase of 200 to 300 units of Harpy and Harop loitering munitions for an estimated amount of 120 million dollars, reports the Israeli press. These Israeli drones have an operational range varying between 500 and 1,000 km.

IME, Latin Americans only care about money and crime. Barely any even know that history you cited. That's nationalism on paper. I tend to agree with you about books; it's the written scientific theories put into practice - for example: how to generate electricity - that change the world. In that regard, the Muslims in the last 250 years have nothing, or next to nothing, to show.

I'll try to find the highlights of whatever Sheikh al-Darqawi has to say. My guess is that it's no more profound than what the writings of thousands of non-Muslim intellects, philosophers, and deep thinkers have already said before him.

With me it's that I have had so many real-life negative interaction with Muslims, blacks, and Gypsies that I cannot be swayed by smooth talk, propaganda, or insults. Personal lived experience trumps theory and the second-hand anecdotes of others every time.

The bottomline is that Muslims, blacks, and Gypsies always ruin whatever quality of life a western country had before their arrival. There is an obvious, direct, correlation; this isn't rocket science: The more of them that come the greater the fall in the quality of life (crime, violence, abuse of welfare, pollution/litter, personal safety, etc.) for the everyone else.

The few good Muslims, blacks, and Gypsies never ever make up for the overwhelming negativity that the others inflict upon western societies. Having them around is always a losing situation for everyone but them (Western welfare for life and softness on crime is, for them, a dream come true).

Chefchaouen! It means "Between the horns" (as in mountain peaks) in Berber. That town was the one halfway nice place I visited in Morocco in 1984. And after a few days, after the local hash dealers realized that I wasn't going to by any of their hash, it was also pretty much hassle free - though the donut lady ripped me off with a smile on her face until I caught on (after catching her out I never went back), and when I gave the two local Muslim guys working at my hotel my bottle of whiskey "to try" on their own they ended up drinking nearly half the bottle.

My strongest memory from my time in Chefchaouen was seeing, while out hiking, and old woman (probably only in her fifties or sixties) who walked completely hunched over, with her fingers almost touching the ground, the results, I imagined of her living her life as a human pack mule. I felt for her.

A strong good memory of Chefchaouen was that I could drink the free, fresh, clean and clear flowing water from the many small stone fountains (a metal spigot from which the water continuously poured into a tiny stone sink before draining into a narrow stone channel where it continued to run down hill and out of town) scattered throughout the mountain village. Chefchaouen is the one place I visited twice, at the beginning and at the end, during my one trip to Morocco.

I don't think the 14th amendment was included with the idea that it could be used to demographically change our country. It's certainly being used that way now. Are you saying because no one challenged it before, there's no reason to challenge it now? Does that line of reasoning make sense?

When a law is detrimental to its nation, it ought to be revised or thrown out. You make good points, that I can't argue with. I guess the question some might ask, including me: Given the situation we have now, if you could amend the Constitution, would you get rid of birthright citizenship?

I think the answer of any sane person would have to be yes, given what happened with immigration under Biden, and really the last 30 years.

Building a wall 30 years ago would have postposed the need to ask this question. Also, in the 21st century, "birther tourism" is much easier and cheaper than it was in 1950 or 1900 or 1880.

I don't think a constitutional change on birthright citizenship could ever be made through the amendment process outlined in the constitution. You'd never get enough votes.

If only Nixon had won the 1960 election, which he probably did...

The easy position to argue is that the Rosenbergs were cutouts and couriers. Essential roles, but it was not essential that the Rosenburgs fill those roles. Anyone else could have subbed in. Basically the U.S. gummint needed to kill someone to get back to feeling good. Klaus Fuchs was actually important, but being tried in the U.K. was out of reach.

The first clause of this sentence is simply not the position of my essay. And it is not the case that caring most about one's race, civilization, and posterity does not mean we do not care about others. I hate what has happened to the Tibetans, or how North Koreans are brutalized by that regime, but I do not care as much as I do about the fate of the Occident.
Whether you and others like it or not, what has been branded as Holocaust denail or even revisionism is reviled by the vast majority of people. It will not only fail to persuade people but will push people away. Further consider that perception is in many important ways reality.
If the validation of these claims was absolutely necessary to get where we would need to go, that would be one thing. But it is not. As I wrote, historical consensus can be conceded, all the factual allegations can be conceded alleged, and that does not change the argument that must be won--namely that inordinate Jewish power and influence must be stopped. The extortion must be stopped, the inordinate power and infleunce in all centers of power and culture needs to be stopped. This is true regardless of who Hitler killed or did not kill.
