I used public transportation, the subways, in New York City for high school, college and work, and I can tell you it was nothing but a pigsty where you could get mugged or killed if you didn't carry a pistol. I haven't had a dime's worth of debt in almost two decades so I'm not worried about where my next meal will come from or where I'm going to live. My social security account increases month to month since I don't need it and because trying to use it gets denied for the bogus security reasons since I'm out of the country.

Truth be told, if I could find some idiot to lend me a few million, I would have absolutely no intention of paying it back since I know the loan funds were invented out of nothing which is the banking scam's true source of profit and most people have no idea that this is so.

I picked a latitude where real cold is unknown, so I won't freeze to death when fuels become scarce or too expensive. I'm largely self sufficient in my ability to fix almost anything and have the tools accumulated over a lifetime to do it, meaning I can build a house from raw material with my skills and tools; every inch of it.

The long and short of it is that I've prepared since my realization that 9/11 was the turning point toward feudalism 2.0 and I opted out and did it early. Am I absolutely safe? No! Am I better off than most everyone else? I think I am and I have the right attitude which most on this site are missing because I know who the enemy is.

We live in clown world.

My parents live in a house worth around $2 million using what has recently sold on their city block and theirs is superior to most due to my parents being scrupulous on cleaning and maintenance. They bought it decades ago and it's paid off. It's a tiny crackerbox with a one car garage. I'll admit that their neighborhood is possibly one of the nicest in Queens New York but the house has no insulation worth mentioning and is probably 80 years old with one shared wall with the neighboring house. The floors creak, the ceilings are low, the rooms are tiny, A/C is supplied by one window unit and the electrical supply was upgraded by my brother in law, a union electrician, to be able to support modern appliances.

This isn't going to last. NY may hold out the longest, but real estate valuations are going to take an incredible hit once sellers realize a no bid situation due to banks not lending and people just plain old broke.

I pity the folks with significant mortgage debt to still pay off. Once the SHTF, many will be underwater and completely stuck if they're lucky, homeless if not and most are oblivious to their situation.

I really don't like this. IMHO, China is asking for serious trouble. India is not going to react well to a dried up Indus River, and China can't protect its trade routes in the Indian Ocean. Protecting trade routes is difficult, India is close to the trade routes and would not even need nuclar subs to keep a large number of commerce destroyers on station. The more so as insurance companies would either cease to issue policies for oil tankers in the Indian Ocean or, alternately, go bankrupt.

Thanks for the reply. I must confess that I bought the government's "official story" hook, line and sinker. At the time, my dad was living with me. He had been living in California but had a brain aneurism and his wife (my step-mom) died. My sister, who also lived out there, would not take care of him and it was either he goes into a nursing home or lives with me. So I flew out there, rented a truck and brought him and his belongings back to Illinois, to live with me. I took care of him for 7 years.

The day of 9/11, my dad was watching TV in his room and was watching all of the events unfolding. Because of his aneurism, he had a very difficult time of talking. He kept pointing to the TV, shaking his head and kept saying something that I couldn't understand. I really think that my dad, unlike myself, had seen right through the propaganda that he was watching on TV. It took me a long time after that to wake up to what I think that my dad knew.

It puzzles me that no one in the English speaking internet world ever seems to mention bankster usury anywhere but the west when humans are basically exactly the same the world over barring racial and cultural differances and so it stands to reason that nasty self serving types rise to the top the power pyramid in every country and so why wouldn't they copy the usury banking practise that started in Middle Ages Europe with the Jewish money lenders?.

The way I see it is,if Chinese elites are all goody two shoes Confucius types like some laughably claim they are then former Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen wouldnt even get into China,let alone meet Xi like she did recently in Bejing and so although i can't say for 100% certainty it seems logical to conclude that they are both just bought and paid for puppets of banking mafia families and it is the same in any country that prints out paper/plastic and adds fraudulent usury value to it.

Did Dhaka not have a sewage system in 1947? The Chinese are building this plant using today's technology (a lot of which they learnt from the West) for a much bigger population while the British Empire built a sewage system for a comparatively much smaller population using older technology.

The success story of the Calcutta underground sewage network

The underground sewage network spreading under Calcutta, built back in 1875 by the British settlers, was equivalent to the systems of European cities like London and Hamburg, Germany. Being in operation for over than 130 years, but with no significant maintenance work performed, the 2006 cave-ins urged for de-silting operations and structural rehabilitation. Being built 130 year ago, Calcutta's sewage tunnel system is perhaps the most complicated system than any other city's system, receiving both storm and waste water. It is still amazing that it was built so large than it can nowadays serve the needs of its 22 million people, daily visitors included. Given the above and the lack of any serious maintenance work performed since its first operation, engineers and contractors faced a major challenge during the restoration works.

The first phase involved the refurbishing of about 26 kilometers of the largest brick tunnels, performed under difficult conditions, given that manholes constructed every 30 meters by the British had been covered by the uncontrolled urbanization.

One issue that lays very close to my heart is the way that big cities control massive amounts of countryside that they really have no claim on. The perverts in San Francisco and LA basically own and run the entire state of California. The same actually applies to NY, Washington DC and Boston when applied to the entire US.

This pattern repeats across all cultures and locations.

I have never been to Bali, but i would bet that what the ethnics locals there wanted and what they got probably parallels what happened to Honolulu or Lahaina. In Bali, there is also a large dollop of ethnic Han-Chinese exploiting the locals the same way Jews do Europeans.

Another recent example is the farmers in Holland, who are being driven off of their farms by WEF style green judaic communists.

This is the lense I am looking at the fast trains through.

Let us suppose that the CCP finds massive, but dirty, Lithium mines somewhere in Tibet. For the good of that billion strong Han tribe and its maniacal pursuit of a borg like mono-culture, the mine would go through, but at the cost of the tribal Tibetans and their ancient culture. These mines will require massive amounts of water, which will divert the glacial streams vital to the nomads and their nomadic culture. Of course they have no say in the matter. When I was a grad student in the '70s- '80s, we used to laugh at the Japanese who would repeat Western science papers and publish in second-rate journals. In the '90s they were EXTENDING the results from Western scientists, and competing. By the '00s and '10s they were dominant in many fields. Asians in general are very clever and COOPERATE/ COLLABORATE. Much like the Taiwanese in silicon chips, they will develop what THEY need preferentially to what others need.

It won't take that long for the Chinese to catch up and surpass the West. They prioritize science. They were ahead of the West in their Covid research long before the West (although it is true that Fauci funded and collaborated with their creation of SARS-CoV2), and IN THEORY their vaccines were better than the mRNA vaccines (a novel innovative technology to be sure, but with lots of warts or tumors). Their English is much better than the Japanese (English is, for now, the language of science.) They have more resources available; making money is often secondary to their science problem solving, unlike the West. The Chinese are much brighter (higher IQ than Americans, as Unz can probably attest), and have a stronger work ethic. As a people they are less innovative, but innovation comes at the bench, not top down like in the West nowadays. Science depends on serendipity, and they, not Americans, are immersed in the science work. Many Chinese were trained in the West; there are mavericks even in Japan, and the Chinese are selecting for results.
I spent four years running a tiny lab in Singapore, and was warned they were not innovative: "we are very good at following rules!" I had one western-trained Chinese technician who had incredible insights. In time (five to ten years?) those people will be running their labs.

I'm just a lowly engineer while my interlocutor was a brainy history major or some such nonsense.

Feudal and early modern Europe neglected education because land was the certain way to wealth or survival. Fedual structure continues to survive in Pakistan because that continues to promise power,wealth,and control over the poor-bonded labor . Education is neglected. How a society or country organizes itself ,determines not only its investments of tax dollars but also the choices made by the professiions by students .
From 1990 onwards, brilliant American students started migrating to journalism, media,finance,and political arena . Tech and science suffered . Finance,media,politics and social sciences allowed more visibility,more money,more political- financial connections and various opportunities for social activism.Some 40 years ago finance sector and banking used to be a slow boring quotidian job with much less wages or salaries and bonuses .

Creating Petro-dollars and imposing that on rest of the world, using China 's cheap labor and then flooding the world and US with those products,and changes back home- deregulation, allowing mergers parlaying into monopolies (75% decline in the number of the banks from 1990) ,periodic cheap money , endemic corruptions and its mislabelling at the top echelon have given rise to todays realities in America that includes education,training,and choices of professions.
