I will show you fear in a handful of dust. Much to my surprise, artificial intelligence, after decades of only grinding progress, has made dramatic advances over the last ten or fifteen years, with huge steps forward in, say, language translation and facial recognition. Tere's been a radical change in artificial intelligence in this century...
  • The fact that AI cannot seem to stop identifying black people as monkeys, which it has for over 9 years now, makes me think we will have a very challenging time stopping AI from doing other things… like killing people.

    @Yak-15

Being half AI can be confusing to people around you

From Ghost in the Shell, initial series (best!), 1991:

    https://i.postimg.cc/JnLL7XwC/Ghost-In-the-Shell-Part-10-Brain-Drain-Masamune-Shirow-1991-Dark-Horse-Comics-1995.jpg

From that same Wikipedia page: Excessive cartoon fanservice can hurt the uh ... bottom line .. yeah.

The removal of a two-page lesbian sex scene in Studio Proteus's localization of Ghost in the Shell was not well received, with readers reacting negatively to the removal of the previously uncensored content that was included in the original Dark Horse release. Toren Smith commented on Studio Proteus's actions claiming that requirement of the "Mature Readers Only" would translate into a 40% loss in sales and likely have caused the immediate cancellation of the series. US overdose deaths hit RECORD high in 2020, driven by deadly fentanyl

Data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Wednesday makes for grim reading. 93,331 people in the US died from drug overdoses last year, up from 70,980. This increase of nearly 30% is the highest year-on-year increase in at least two decades, and the total number of deaths is the highest ever recorded in a 12-month period.

Opioids were responsible for nearly three-quarters of these deaths, with synthetic opioids responsible for nearly 57,000 deaths, or more than half. Last year, synthetic opioids killed just under 50,000 people.

That Asians rise may have to do with the fact that so many of the young Asians taking the SAT are the children of people who earned a PhD here and then obtained a green card and eventual citizenship. That whites are falling -- well it does fit what I see in the classroom -- students less willing to make an effort, more likely to expect an easy path through a course. This is something that they learned in high school, in my opinion an outcome of NCLB and Obama-era efforts to make black students "proficient" -- a massive dumbing down so that anyone can pass on to the next grade.

What does the “age-adjusted ratio” matter? Hundreds, if not thousands of Americans have been killed by hispanic immigrant drunk driving in the last decade alone. Who cares if the age-adjusted statistic is similar?

Those Americans who are dead now, would otherwise not be dead if the number of immigrant drunk drivers was zero. The number should be as close to zero as possible. Same with murders by Americans by hispanic immigrants. Zero.

Why is this concept so challenging to digest?

I imagine the age-adjusted rate for ethnic cleansing is the same for Europe as it is for the Middle East. How does that fact help dead Armenians?

  • @Ron Unz
    @International Jew

Shall we count people killed by drunk Mexican drivers?

Absolutely not! Indeed, the fact that rightwingers focus so heavily on people killed by Mexican drunk-drivers is pretty strong proof that despite their enormous effects they have had an exceptionally difficult time finding any actual white murder victims. I wouldn't be surprised if blacks kill lots of people in drunken or drugged-up crashes, but you never hear about those.

Let's put on our thinking-caps. There are generally 10K drunk-driving deaths per year and (supposedly) 37M people of Mexican ancestry living here, or about 11% of the population, maybe more depending upon the uncertain number of illegals. So if Mexicans were totally average in drunk-driving deaths, you'd expect them to kill over 1000 people per year. Since car-crash victims are pretty random, a substantial fraction of those are sure to be white. Maybe anti-immigration groups could feature one white victim each day of the year if they put in the time and effort.

Obviously, the unstated accusation is that Mexicans are far above average in drunken-driving. Is that correct? Who knows! I've never seen any data demonstrating that. It wouldn't surprise me since they skew youthful, with their mean age in their late 20s compared with mid-40s for whites. And their working-class culture may be more accepting of drunk-driving. But it's a telling point that anti-immigration activists have featured dozens---hundreds?---of individual drunk-driving stories over the years without ever showing any overall statistical evidence.

I live in Palo Alto, which has very few murders, probably less than one per year. A couple of years ago, some middle-aged Chinese woman killed her Chinese sister-in-law. Nonetheless, I don't feel nervous when I see a middle-aged Chinese woman walking behind me on the street. But maybe if someone set up a website to highlight these sorts of cases, very gullible people would start to believe that middle-aged Chinese woman were a huge threat to our society.

Things are not free – ultimately, people’s labor is what gives anything value. In essence, you’re taking the labor of others and giving it to people who are not laboring or are incapable of the quality of labor necessary to sustain a first world lifestyle over the long run. In substance, your pulling value away from those whose labor brings actual value and giving it to the valueless. At some point that shell game is ends.

The thing about corporate customers is that beyond having the money to waste, they seem more insensitive to quality of play. No company is giving up their Knicks tickets because the Knicks have been mostly lousy for the last twenty years.

Might be slightly different with the Mets-Yankees dynamic. I know a few companies which dropped their Yankee package when the new stadiums opened up over prices and went exclusively with the Mets. Though eventually, a few of them signed back up with the Yankees for cheaper seats, while keeping the nicer Mets package. I'd make the point a bit more forcefully than does Cochran.

It would be actually surprising if there were genetic variants which affected IQ in a substantial, positive way which differed across populations.

Why? Because, as we now know with some certainty, there are no genetic variants affecting educational attainment (a decent ersatz for IQ) in a substantial, positive way: even the largest effect size found is exceedingly small -- 0.02% according to Plomin's book.

Likely, this has to do with the difficulty of improving such a complex set of mechanisms as those underlying educational attainment or IQ. If there ever were a genetic variant that had a big positive effect, it very likely went into fixation long before 70,000 years ago.Of course damaging variants of large effect are easier to come by, but they are never going to be common. They will be rooted out by selection quite quickly.

And if the positive genetic variants are of very small effect, they will take forever to go to fixation, and will be stuck in standing variation pretty much forever -- which is clearly the situation we're in.

So frequency is all we will ever have to distinguish populations.

And the final point is that even if standing variation on thousands of genetic variants is all we've got, it's still huge in impact. If heritability is about .5 for IQ or educational attainment, the difference is still Yuge in societal consequence. A difference in 1 SD across groups would be momentous indeed.

    Replies: @Jack D, @candid_observer, @Yak-15

If this were true, that variants of all genes exist for intelligence within every population, then this would apply to every other genetic structure that humans possess.

Extrapolated, this would imply that you could take a population of whites, say 100 pct Western European as they have existed for the last ~4,000 years, and breed a group of people with the same phenotypic traits as west Africans.

Do you stand by this assertion?

    • Replies: @candid_observer
    @Yak-15

I made it clear I was talking only about certain traits -- e.g., educational attainment and IQ, for example, though my points may well apply to other behavioral traits.

And yes, on those traits I would expect that one could select in such a way that their descendants would be the same as Western Africans today.

    , @Jack D
    @Yak-15

Humans have rarely been consciously bred for certain traits. When this has been tried with animals, amazing variations have been achieved - wolves bred down to the size of Chihuahuas, all sorts of color variations, etc. If you tried, I'd bet you could bred Chihuahuas back up to wolf size or Great Danes down to dachshund. The only reason this isn't possible with humans is that generation lengths are long and you'd have to conduct a multi-century (and by modern standards highly unethical) breeding experiment.

  • @RaceRealist88

Why should I state my beliefs on heritability estimates first when I asked you the question?

The bedrock of behavior genetics (what I take to be the main purveyor of 'HBD') rests on a slew of false assumptions---of twin, adoption, family, and GWA studies. It rests on heritability estimates. Moore and Shenk (2016)in The Heritability Fallacy have shown how illogical such assumptions are. Nevermind the fact that it leads to the acceptance of the false dichotomy: that traits can be partitioned into 'genetic' or 'environmental' components when they both interact.

"That’s clearly the reason poor Asians do well on tests. Well, that and the cultural bias of the tests."

  • The reason why Ivies recruit athletes so heavily is because this enables them to select people with the rare combination of multiple, success-essential 2SD+ traits.

Furthermore, these attributes become particularly stark when athletes are compared to the typically inaccessible, indecisive Ivy League over-thinker who does not have the drive to best competitors.

    Steve Sailer:

"Like, uh … uh … the Aryan invasion of 2500 B.C. Or the Huns. Or the Saracens. Or the Ottomans"

False equivalency: organized military invasions and immigration are not the same thing. It's surreal that I have to even point this out. Comparing invasions of professional armies, where the goal is clearly hostile, to kill the enemy and rob his territory with clear strategic goals, to unarmed people coming to work and trying to make a better life for themselves is ridiculous.

The worst thing is that Steve Sailer says this using a sarcastic tone, as if he were being clever, and have all of his sycophants agree with him.

The problem with America and Europe is not too many immigrants, but a lack of them. The economy would benefit immensely if America received 10 million immigrants a year instead of the current 1/1.5 million. The U.S still has one of the lowest demographic densities of any developed country, and even though some of the poorest Americans are hurt by immigrants competing with them for jobs, the net effect of immigration on living standards for most Americans is positive. I do not deny that mass immigration hurts the bottom 5-10% of native born Americans, but considering how hugely America benefits from immigration, there should be an alternative solution to the problems of America's most low skilled rather than shutting down the border.

Steve Sailer is a hypocrite. I have said it before and I will say it again: the most dishonest and disingenuous aspect of Sailer's endless Catilinarians against immigration is that he benefits daily from mass immigration. The reason why Steve Sailer - and you miscreants reading this - is able to eat so cheaply, for instance, is because your produce is picked by Mexican immigrants that charge much less for their labor than native-born workers, as well as why you pay what you do at restaurants, as the Mexican waiters charge much less than native-born Americans would to do the same job. If we were to pay what Sailer calls "decent wages" to native-born low-skilled labor, the costs of all goods and services. Do you really think that producers can pay, say, 4 X more to their workers without the added cost of labor being passed on to consumers? Are you guys THAT stupid? Aanbd what are "decent" wages anyway? Teh poorest Americans still ear 10 X more than most Third World workers for doing the same job. What they make is actually INdecent, as it is pure entitlement.

Hey, Steve, if you truly believe what you are saying, then live an immigrant-free lifestyle. Buy your goods only from producers who hire only native-born Americans citizens, and from retailers that sell exclusively from those producers and have only native-born workers on their payroll. Also, don't ever got to the movies or to restaurants again, as they all use immigrant labor to keep the prices low for consumers. If you do go to the movies, you should insist on paying twice the price of admittance, to accurately reflect how much movie tickets would cost without immigrant labor. That is called being intellectually honest, something that you are certainly not.

Diamond’s famous contention that there is something about the African elephant that made them impossible to use in warfare

I'm not familiar with this contention of Diamond's, but (notwithstanding Hannibal) wouldn't that be a point in favor the hereditary differences that Diamond labors to obviate elsewhere?

Ever since, Diamond has been popular with tech billionaires and the like, who enjoy Diamond’s scientific arguments for the politically correct position they need to believe in for their own safety, far more interesting than the derisible Theory offered by postmodernist academics.

Too true. And even farther down the corporate wealth scale I've encountered plenty of ambitious vice-president-types who can't shut up about various Diamond-esque themes. Diamondism is like the Masonic handshake of the Current Year.

Diamond identifies “a strong national identity” as a shared advantage possessed by both nations, with their unique languages and relative ethnic homogeneity. Diamond is impressed by the we’re-all-in-this-together patriotism of Finns and Japanese. As one of the last American intellectuals who can remember Pearl Harbor 78 years ago, he fears that contemporary Americans are losing the national solidarity of the mid–20th century.

    They are. By design.

Interesting contrast with the #1 Svigor/Westcott comment on the previous post.

Diamond pauses the political narratives to offer a Guns, Germs, and Steel-style explanation of why the soil of the Upper Midwest is so fertile:

Ice Age glaciers…repeatedly advanced and retreated over the landscape, grinding rocks and generating or exposing fresh soils. ...

Because of North America’s tapering wedge shape, large volumes of ice forming in the broad expanse at high latitudes were funneled into a narrow band and became heavier glaciers as they advanced toward the lower latitudes.

This is the kind of simplistic thing that non-farmers say all the time. If glacier grinding were the key to fertile soil, Nunavut and the taiga would bloom, yet they don't. It could perhaps be argued that the glaciers scraped topsoil from northern latitudes down to middle latitudes, but real soil fertility depends on organic matter. The midwest and Great Plains had millennia of grasslands, large herd droppings, and perhaps Indian burnings to enrich the earth. (Nothing a few decades of mismanagement can't ruin though.) As for North America's tapering shape causing some "funnel" effect, I'm pretty sure nothing stops glaciers from falling off the sides into the ocean. In fact, I'm pretty sure that still happens in e.g. Greenland and Alaska.

“There are about a billion Africans in Africa and almost all of them would be better off economically and politically and in terms of personal safety in Europe,”

Diamond's presupposition to this grand theme may not be true. As I and others here have noted before, prior to the [anti]"civil rights" movement, pretty much every black social indicator—crime rates, drug use, family integrity, rate of material improvement, etc—was better than it was afterwards. The [anti]civil rights movement has been a disaster for everyone, black and white, except a few race hustlers and nation wreckers. We already know that bringing masses of Africans to Europe will be terrible for Europe, but there is no evidence that it will be good for Africans either.

Chinese Americans are indeed a voting group to watch since their support for the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, appeared to wane compared to President Barack Obama in 2012.

While Obama got 69 percent of their vote in 2012, Clinton took just 61 percent in 2016, according to the National Asian American Survey.

    https://www.wnyc.org/story/chinese-american-voters-flirting-gop/

Stanley Ng, an opponent of the administration's plan to end New York's test for Specialized High Schools, argued that the test fosters a meritocracy — which is why he likes that Chinese Americans are getting renewed attention from the GOP.

"They're saying the right things... and they're saying we should vote Republican," said Ng, who added that Chinese Americans are in turn "beginning to listen."

Asian Americans across the country have flexed conservative on matters of homelessness and immigration. Chinese Americans in particular helped defeat a measure to make Maryland a sanctuary state last year. Wong says all of this undermines the idea that communities of color stand in solidarity.

"Because when you have a non-white group that is taking more conservative positions and having real success then you're really threatening the traditional, longstanding civil rights coalition of people of color," said Wong.

I tried googling Indian numbers, but kept getting Native American results. Then I tried with the word "Hindu" and had better luck:

    https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/why-hindu-americans-dont-vote-republican/

According to data from the Washington Post, fewer than 7 percent of Hindus are likely to have voted for Trump. Only a slightly larger percentage of Hindus voted for Mitt Romney. Hindus strongly favor the Democratic party over the Republican party—more so than almost any other ethnic or religious group in the United States.

In the early 2000s, Paul Craig Roberts wrote a series of dynamite columns about a concept he called the New Feudalism. These columns catapulted him to some prominence within the by-then-slowly-emerging dissident Right.

Here is one case I readily find, published Dec. 2002, now re-hosted at Unz.com:

For three decades [i.e., since the 1970s] the United States has been descending into a feudal legal order.

In the ancient feudal system, the differential rights in the legal system were class-based. In the new feudal order, rights are determined by race, gender, and handicapped status. In the old feudalism, the people with the most rights were descendants of warriors. In the new system, it is the victim who has superior rights.

This difference aside, there are many similarities between the two feudal legal systems despite the many centuries that separate them.

In the old feudal system, there were no First Amendment rights. The legally privileged were free to engage in hate speech and to verbally harass others, but any commoner who replied in kind could be sued or have his tongue cut out.

His point being, a comparable system is reemerging.

And who are the new commoners? We all know it. The new commoners are you and me. White men. PCR coined "WHAMs" (White, Heterosexual, Able-bodied Males) to describe the New Commoners.

Black Americans have been granted the right to be offended by any words they don’t like and to extract retribution. The offending speaker finds himself forced into contrition and humiliating apologies. Often the penalty is a destroyed career.

Back in the 1970s, the few whites remaining on the South Side understood that those beautiful Lakeshore bike trails were off limits to them because by that time you did see the many blacks who inhabited "the rougher southern portions of the lakeside communities." It was a shame really: a beautiful, carbon-free way to get downtown and get some exercise, yet you may as well have tried to swim a piranha river as bike across those hazardous latitudes.

Recently gentrification and redevelopment has given the Lakeshore trails an inviting mien again. But looks can be deceiving. Naive young university women routinely get raped while doing their Strong Woman jogs up to 35th Street. Even in the immediate—and better patrolled—University neighborhood, you can still see yoofs running off with some hapless grad student's iPhone or some such. None of this gets more news attention than a local police blotter item, of course. I often think the University, which is the reason for most of the victims' presence there, ought to do more to warn them about local hazards. But I suppose that would bring up awkward questions about who it is who is doing all this raping and robbing. And what is more important really, your safety or their self esteem? Former University executive Michelle Obama may have had something to say about that.

It occurs to me that maybe the lakefront is a hazardous lure to the students because maybe the University Police's (who have featured here at iSteve as part of Obama's triple-layer police protection from behind which he denounces law enforcement) writ doesn't run past Lake Shore Drive, so there is only the intermittent CPD protection on the other side, at the actual lakefront. Students, being unaware of these fine distinctions, naively assume that the double-policed security they are used to in the University area proper will also apply across the road, until, to their sorrow, it doesn't.

Edit: Just checked UCPD website. Yep, Lake Shore Drive is the boundary.

Of course it wasn’t a particularly violent time. It’s just that a whole bunch of Aryan barbarians came pouring in off the steppe and wound up with all the surviving women, fathering every single one of their children.

It should have dawned on you in the act of writing that sentence, however, that this is of course extremely unlikely to the point of being practically impossible.

No matter how brutal the conquest or how repressive the subsequent tyranny, there are always survivors among the vanquished. Is it really plausible that none of the previous inhabitants could have fled? How could you possibly hunt down every last man in the whole vastness of Spain, which would have been of necessity at that time a trackless wilderness devoid of roads and passages? Is it really believable that the Aryans prosecuted their extermination campaign with such mechanical efficiency that they combed the entire countryside, finding every last isolated pocket of humanity in the mountains and forests, and ruthlessly slaughtered all the male inhabitants down to the last child, the last infant, such that not a single one of them survived to sire anybody at all?

Or is it more likely that the extremely small sample size has skewed the results, and that the skeletons which were by chance recovered were precisely the ones which had been interred with greater care, and in the more accessible locations, such as a generally more organized and industrious people would be wont to do? Furthermore, is it not the case that a rapid and wholesale replacement by massacre would have left its own rather dramatic signal in the archaeological record, that being the sudden appearance of a number of maimed and broken bodies, the absence of which testified to it being "not a very violent time?" The researches aver that 40% of the DNA of the entire community traced back to the Aryans, but this 40% comprises all of the males (and presumably some of the females), implying that the community as a whole consisted of less than 40% males of any description---a bizarrely imbalanced sex ratio which, even if it had once existed as a real and actual fact, would have at any rate been rectified within a single generation of newborns (a slice of time too vanishingly small to isolate archaeologically); and this therefore lends credence to the hypothesis that the samples are not representative. Is not all of this consistent with the idea that the Aryans might have said to the farmers, "We don't mind trading with you for wives and whatnot, but we frown upon your kind being buried with us,"---in other words, an ancient case of excluding the riffraff from the country clubs?

It is extremely difficult to completely exterminate an entire race of males, so difficult in fact that we have no verifiable examples of it ever having been done, even by modern nations states and modern armies wielding the most advanced, industrialized killing apparatuses that the mind of man has yet devised. To think that a band of prehistoric wagoners accomplished this singular feat shows only that the mind of the thinker hankers after this conclusion as the preferable interpretation, but it does not make it any more likely to be correct.

But she would never presume he was disposable, just some hunk of smirking male privilege that needed to be tossed away. Someone had to plow the fields, look after the livestock, maintain and fix the machinery, put up the hay... while she was tending the garden, stocking the root cellar, cooking and cleaning and making sure the kids did their chores.

But for these modern gals … everything just is. And for this class of scribblers and whiners it "just is" without them doing any actual work!

Similarly, all starting cornerbacks in the NFL have been black since Jason Sehorn retired after the 2003 season. That’s two cornerbacks times 15 seasons times 32 teams, or 960 out of 960 data points.

That probably didn’t happen by luck.

I agree that that does not sound like the sort of thing that would have happened by luck. However, it does sound exactly like the sort of thing that was deliberately engineered somehow.

If you're going to cite such a statistic as proof of superior heritable athleticism among Blacks, there are several implied premises to which you also must assent, such as these:

    1) The NFL is a pure meritocracy where only the most gifted athletes are awarded starting positions.

    2) The attributes of the athletes selected for are all quantifiable and physical in nature.

    3) These attributes are genetic and are all uniquely or at least predominately associated with a Black phenotype.

Now, the problem with this is that we already know that, pace Woody Harrelson, White men can jump---and run, and catch footballs---and in general perform all of the functions that are expected of an NFL cornerback. They can do these things with greater or lesser degrees of proficiency in the individual case. But even if there is a slight rightward shift of the bell curve for Black running/jumping ability relative to the White curve, and even accounting for the fact that such a shift magnifies the ratios between the curves at the tails, the pool of White men to draw from is still simply enormous enough that the requisite number of White outliers is almost certain to exist. We should not have too much difficulty finding 960 White men---let alone one---who could match point-for-point all the physical characteristics of the NFL cornerbacks. To put the matter another way, assuming that the physical characteristics are the only salient selection criteria, there exists a potential all-White cornerback corps with which we could replace the NFL's current all-Black corps, with no loss of talent whatsoever.

That being the case, we can infer that something must be wrong with one or more of the above premises. I think it's not hard to see that the NFL is not a pure meritocracy and that the selection of starting cornerbacks does not proceed on the sole basis of those physical attirbutes which you might assume would be most relevant to the game of football, whether heritable or not. Blacks are being selected not because they are the best, but because they are good enough and Black. There is a stealth Affirmative Action program underway to install Blacks into as many NFL slots as possible; and cornerback being one of those expendable positions where nothing but speed and leaps is really necessary, it is among the first positions to be made the bag-holder for the mandatory, ever-increasing quota of Black success stories.

This is the real reason why Blacks are overrepresented in sports, music, and entertainment. It isn't because they are better at these things; it is because some combination of patronizing pity, the Peter Principle, and Gresham's Law simply allocates these spots to them. So long as a Black person is just good enough to succeed at something, he will be allowed to succeed at it without hindrance; and then whatever that "something" is will be elevated to the rank of a major accomplishment. It is as if we were to find the dimmest kids in school, who could excel at nothing but mud pie making, and then decided to dole out Nobel prizes for physics and mud pies. And given this situation, those kids who could excel at the intrinsically more demanding profession would, however unconsciously, begin to shy away from the mud pie prize as something beneath them, leaving that august field of endeavor to be more and more colonized by the group for whom it was the only one within reach.

Thus, Black athletic success is the product not of "superior" Black genes but of that lordly White noblesse oblige that tries to include them in the ensemble picture of society despite all unfitness for the role, that works hard to find them something---anything---they can do and then, like a doting parent, praises them to the hilt for doing so with no regard to the actual value of the accomplishment; and all of this notwithstanding the fact that there are tribes of sprightly Ethiopians who seem to go bounding down the track like human pogo sticks. At this point the counterargument might be raised that an Olympic gold medal is such a desirable prize that surely there would be many White men who would pursue it to the utmost, and the fact that no White man has yet been found who can beat the 72 Black 100m dash finalists must be proof positive that none are capable of doing it. To this I would answer that doubtless there exists somewhere a White man who could do it, but the effort is no longer worth making. The pogo sticks have so completely claimed the short sprint territory that equivalent honors could be got with fewer pains by any White man with the thirst to pursue them. The question is not whether he could do so but why. Similarly, I could take over the nation of Haiti, or buy a dilapidated record store in Harlem, or wrestle a wild boar for possession of his wallow---but why would I want to?

Inexorably, the can-but-don't-have-to's will yield particular regions to the can-and-only's. After all, it seems only fair and I have no real desire that it should be otherwise. However, the logical issue of all the foregoing is that Whites must cease this condescending indulgence of Black "success" and embrace that lordly, separate, and aristocratic privilege which is their birthright.

This missive reads like someone who is very unfamiliar with the game of football.

All of the players’ measurable attributes are tabulated across multiple dimensions of speed, athleticism, strength, explosiveness, and agility.

These figures are all quantified and can be (and are) constructed into a matrix with height, leg length, arm length, weight, chest size, etc to create an athletic composite than can be tailored to each position. This score is used to judge whether a person has a good probability of being athletically capable of competing in the NFL. Those who do not pass this minimum composite for their position are almost never drafted and never play in the nfl. This is because they would not be able to compete.

Tens of thousands of athletes have taken these tests and the results exist in NFL repositories. Over the years, every manner of person who played football at some level aspires to play in the NFL and many spend thousands of hours dedicated to that goal.

The fact that zero white athletes have been a starting cornerback in the NFL for nearly 15 seasons can only be attributed to two causes: a vast conspiracy or complete athletic dominance by black athletes in that position group.

The fact of the matter is that if their were whites capable of playing that position in any number, they would be in the nfl.

If racism was the cause, surely one would see differing levels of gaps (or the total lack of gaps) based upon the relative levels of racism. Some locations, clearly, are more “racist” than others while others lend more help to poor blacks.

The fact that we see little difference in educational/etc outcomes is emblematic of the reality that the causes are likely genetic factors. No fair! Puerto Rico is not a state and has no representation in Washington. One reason to have democracy is so you can blame Puerto Ricans for their troubles, but that is not the case, PR is administered from the US as a colony. Is PR just the first? Illinois, NJ, CT, and California just to name a few are slowly reaching the point of fiscal crisis. New York city, although perhaps not NY state, is also in trouble. See pensiontsunami.com for prophetic links.

IMO the trouble in California started when White supremacist leader Grey Davis increased retroactively the future pensions of the largely white aged government workforce ahead of the great white replacement of the 21st century without providing any funding method. Future White Supremacist governments increased the value of White-owned land by flooding the land with immigration. See, the problem is White supremacy.

My favorite debate with “nice white people” is how the coalition of minorities, once they gain enough power, will squelch fiscal programs that overwhelmingly favor legacy whites like social security, Medicare and pensions.

Worth emphasizing that this is how they measure predictive value:

We measure prediction accuracy by the ‘incremental R2’ statistic: the gain in the coefficient of determination (R2) when the score is added as a covariate to a regression of the phenotype on a set of baseline controls (sex, birth year, their interaction and 10 principal components of the genetic relatedness matrix).

As far as I can tell (having taken a quick look through the supplementary material PDF and spreadsheet) they scrupulously avoid mentioning the R^2 for their baseline model. I wonder what it is and how much variance is explained by each of the variables involved? Seems like a fairly fundamental question, and an odd omission given the supplementary PDF is 207 pages long.

The predictive power is much reduced for African-Americans, but still nonzero. From page 132 of the supplementary material:

In the prediction analysis, we included the same set of age and sex controls as the European ancestry analysis, and the first 10 principal components of the variance-covariance matrix of the genetic data of the African-ancestry sample. We found that the LDpred score predicts 1.6% (95% CI: 0.7% to 3.0%) of the variance in EduYears among African ancestry individuals. This represents 85% attenuation in the predictive power of the score compared to the incremental R2 of 10.6% in our European-ancestry sample from HRS.

The fundamental problem today is that in an internet-based society, we have no way to silence the scolds. We're no better off than society was during the 1600s in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in which social behavior was closely policed by Puritan society. In fact, Puritan society never had it this bad.

The Puritans considered behaving like a Common Scold a legal crime. They recognized it as ruinous to their community to be plagued by Common Scolds. To quote Wiki, they defined it as, "A type of public nuisance—a troublesome and angry person who broke the public peace by habitually chastising, arguing and quarrelling with their neighbours."

Yes, people hundreds of years ago did have some smarter laws than we do. The Puritans understood that for a society to hold together and work successfully, you had to make the conniving, scheming people who were working to tear society apart shut up. Scolds are not just expressing their own opinion, they're deliberately trying wreck the fabric of polite social society by saying your opinion cannot even exist because it's evil. This is why we need to create new laws that deal with Scolds.

Scolds need to be made an illegal public nuisance again. We need to change the rules to prevent people from getting mobbed and fired from their jobs for having opinions. We need the cops to show up and charge them for harassing other people.

There was an account published recently about a reformed SJW scold. He explained he got an adrenaline rush and a feeling of pleasure by leading the mob to attack someone. The internet gives an outlet to the type of people who get a thrill out of leading mobs. In other words, it gives an outlet to sadists who get a sick pleasure from verbally beating someone else up.

Before the internet, these sadists had little power to harm society in general. Now they have that power, and their addiction to these adrenaline rushes is ruining our society. Their behaviors are leading us to the brink of either war (with Russia) or civil war among ourselves. Their behavior, I repeat, is ruinous to a properly-run civil society.

The most devout leftists are religiously convinced that their existence is an aberration before their Gods and their path to atonement and enlightenment runs through disposition and self-eradication. They must not only discard their economic position, but their homelands and their national identities in order to achieve progressive nirvana.

It’s fascinating, particularly because they are replacing themselves with tribal people who do not respect the sacrifice of the western progressives. These hermit crab people will never build a monument to the sacrifice of the leftists nor ever acknowledge their struggle. The modern leftist knows this and is fine with this reality.
