I’m interested to see how strong the German/Russian relationship will grow?
Have they learned anything after slaughtering each other last century?
Question: Between Putin’s two clans (civilviki vs. siloviki), which one is closer and more open to economic integration with Germany? Or, are they the same in their feelings towards Germany?
I really learn a lot from this blog. Perhaps you could write more on German/Russian economic and military cooperation. Will they form a power block and challenge American-British-Israeli influence?
In the US, there are people who fear this possibility. They, of course, will cause havoc in the geography starting from the Baltic States in the north, straight down to the Balkans in the South. Poland is obviously the strategic imperative (IOW a Russo-German block will have to make the Poles a better deal than the US-British-Israeli power block and vis versa).
Can a German/Russian alliance provide a better deal to Poland than the US-British-Israeli power block?
Compare and contrast what each block can provide for Poland?
What about political ideology within these power blocks? How will they differ?
Again, thank you for your blog. Your knowledge and perspective on Russia is very valuable to the public.
You can go to jail for having the wrong opinions regarding “the joys of diversity” in Western Europe. They call these “hate speech” laws. In America you may not go to jail for having such opinions (not yet anyway), but you will have your reputation destroyed.
If you want to see BB in action, there’s an anti-Russian BBC documentary called “Russian Godfathers.” While it is anti-Russian, the first part (labeled “The Fugitive) shows BB in action trying to subvert Russian politics. Its actually quite amazing watching this man work in all his arrogance.

I said nothing about the Mossad. I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t hire you anyway (these are pretty smart folks).
With that said, I want to return to my original point.
Bombing Iran is not a good idea, and I very much hope the United States doesn’t do it(for the reasons I pointed out above). If Israel wishes to do so, its really none of my business.
Actually, I hope the Israelis DO bomb Iran because I want to watch the show. Unforchantly, I don’t believe Israel has the capability (or the balls) to do so? Of course, if the Arabs want bombs to fall in Iran then maybe THEY should do it(if they even have the ability to maintain an air force)?
I just don’t the want the US to get involved. And with that said, I encourage the US military to be extra vigilant and on alert for false flag operations like the attack on the USS Liberty and/or the Lavon affair.
Israel does not have any real issues with Iran as Israel and Iran are separated by two thousand kilometers.” (NB)
LOL, Someone should tell Netanyahu this. He’s on America TV every other week instigating war against Iran.
I thought you were just misinformed, but now its obvious that your purpose is to spread disinformation. As far as your historical “analysis” on Judo-Persian relations goes, I suggest you look into the Jewish Holiday called “Purim.” (See link)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purim
I suspect you probably know this already, and are engaging in “hasbara.” (see link below).
http://www.counterpunch.org/cook07212009.html
Judging by the quality of you “hasbara,” (propaganda), you’re most likely new at this game.
NB,
Iran has had a lot of time to prepare for an attack and are more capable than Serbia, Iraq, Hezbollah, or Hamas. The geography of Iran is more difficult compared to these past campaigns, and Iran literally has the ability to drastically damage an already shaky global economy(by shutting down the strait of Hormuz).
You are correct that the US could cause a lot of damage, but this doesn’t mean Iran’s nuclear capabilities will be destroyed (even if we use nuclear bunker busters). Israel by itself certainly won’t be able to pull this off, and if they try, the havoc rained down on them will be massive.
As far as our Arab allies are concerned, I’m sure they were equally displeased when Israel acquired nuclear weapons, but life goes on, and we still buy their oil.
So don’t be so sure of yourself. Remember the last war when someone suggested it would be a “cakewalk” and it cost us a trillion dollars and over 4000 dead American.
So perhaps you should stop your own cakewalk of silliness?
I don’t think its possible to really stop Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities by bombing them? The purpose of bombing Iran would be more for punishment, than anything else. Its more about making Iran “pay” for disobeying Israel wishes, by causing billions of dollars in damage to military and civilian infrastructure. This was the motive for bombing Lebanon in 2006. It was punishment for the populations support of Hezbollah. Its basically telling Iran: “you can have nukes, but it will cost you billions of dollars.”
If the US does collapse like the USSR, I assume much of the same thing will happen? Public services will be totally privatized, as the North American chapter of the Oligarchs quickly buy up everything. Obviously the standard of living will drop, and people will become desperate, which will lead to increases in drug use, violence, and despair. This will give the Mexican cartels an opening to expand influence in the US; and Oligarchs may even see the Cartels as potential allies in stopping the rise of any uppity Americans? Like the collapse of the USSR, mass immigration will be encouraged by the Oligarchs (for cheap labor and to cause problems) and young girls will sold into the international white-female sex market.
I can go on, but I’ll get to the point.
Perhaps the Russians would be so kind as to write a “handbook” of sorts on how Americans can stop their country from being totally controlled by the Oligarchs after a collapse? This handbook could cover strategy, practical political examples, and case studies showing how Putin and co. were able to Muscle power from the Oligarchs (and back to the Russian people). This guide should also include a study of the Oligarch’s tactics, operational arts, strategy, and possible long term goals.
I agree, why would Medvedev ruin a good thing? What “deal” can Anglo-America offer him that beats his current situation?
I’ve been reading more lately about these so called “clan divisions” in the Russian power structure. There is also talk of split between Putin and Medvedev. I assumed that the recent cooperation between the Obama administration and Medvedev is an attempt to pull Medvedev closer to the US and Russian “liberals” (and away from Putin & Sechin)?
Of course, all of these “divisions” and “clan wars” may just be theater produced by Putin, Medvedev, and Sechin to draw out their enemies within?
I’m just a working class American who don’t know too much, but I can’t help to admire Putin. During the 90’s Russia was run by very high caliber scum, which resulted in very bad times for the average Russian. Somehow, out of nowhere Putin steps in and sticks these high caliber scum into a cage, and the standard of living for the average working Russian has greatly improved. Putin appears to me to genuinely care about his people.
What is the best thing to read (in English) to understand how Putin wrestled (or sambo’d) his country back from the high caliber scum?
