I installed cacti on Mac OS X and load average collection did not
work. OS X's uptime output doesn't have commas between the load
values like the Linux version, so I made the commas optional by
adding two ? in the regex:
From
$avg =~ s/^.*:\s(\d+\.\d{2}),\s(\d+\.\d{2}),\s(\d+\.\d{2})$//;
to
$avg =~ s/^.*:\s(\d+\.\d{2}),?\s(\d+\.\d{2}),?\s(\d+\.\d{2})$//;
It still works on Linux, so I wanted to ask if this could be included
in the master distribution...

hey, I am having problems with getting cacti running on my suse 9.3 box running php4 and apache2. I installed one version via yast today and came across this error *Fatal error*: Call to undefined function: session_start() in * /usr/share/cacti/include/config.php* on line *74 *I also tried to install via tar ball and ran into the following problem checking for gettimeofday... yes checking for strerror... yes checking for strtoll... yes configure: error: Cannot find MySQL header files under /usr achilles:~/cacti-cactid-0.8.6g # ls /usr/ . .. X11 X11R6 bin games i586-suse-linux include lib local sbin share src tmp Strange where suse puts stuff, but i would rather my package manager took care of it any way. As I have done nothing to the yast version i though you chaps may like to know about the missing function. Thanks |

So, are the rrd files in place? What happens if you run rrdtool --help? Seem strange. Without working this out over a telecon or something similar, I am afraid I don't have much more to add. This is quite simple to achieve using a cron script. For a generous contribution to my Paypal fund, I would write such a script. So, I put "php poller.php" back in place in cron. But, nothing has changed! :( Graphs still empty. Here is the output of the select : mysql> select count(*) from poller_item; +----------+ | count(*) | +----------+ | 118 | +----------+ Strange because it doesn't seem huge. Furthermore, the table name is poller_item and not poller_items. Thank you. |
