Please insure that when you last upgraded cacti that you did not place an old version of the ss_host_cpu.php over the new one. TheWitness > -----Original Message----- > From: cac...@li... I have several windows boxes where cacti graphs the processor use but one is not returning any processor info although I can get interface use from the same machine. The 'verbose query' returns: Running data query [9]. + Found type = '6 '[script query]. + Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/cacti/resource/script_server/host_cpu.xml' + XML file parsed ok. + Executing script for list of indexes '/usr/bin/php -q /var/www/html/cacti/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php 172.24.16.219 54 2:161:500:public:::MD5::[None] index' + Executing script query '/usr/bin/php -q /var/www/html/cacti/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php 172.24.16.219 54 2:161:500:public:::MD5::[None] query index' + Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/cacti/resource/script_server/host_cpu.xml' + Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/cacti/resource/script_server/host_cpu.xml' + Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/cacti/resource/script_server/host_cpu.xml' What can I do to make it find the hrProcessorFrwID details? -- Les Mikesell les...@gm... |

I guess I left some confusion. The rrd files in the rra directory are not getting updated. The data is being polled from the systems, and entered into the mysql database. That is where it sits. It is not getting transfered over to the rrd files. Heh, the reason I developed the Monitor plugin, and took over the Threshold development was that my Manager wanted to get away from Whats Up Gold (and quite paying license costs), and to integrate everything into one package, Cacti. He has been more than pleased with Cacti so far, and I continue to surprise him every month with new stuff it seems. I am currently writing my own SNMP Extension Agent to monitor a few of our custom windows apps. Was pretty simple I thought as we monitor temperature in all of our remote NOC sites. We use units from akcp.com and set up pretty simple graphs polling the snmp variables with gauge as source type. For the paging and emailing of these units, we actually go a step further and use What's up Pro.. Hi, Are you sure your rrd files in the rra/ directory are being updated ? If that is ok and mysql database is getting updated then things should be working. Also check the size of your cacti.log under log/ directory. Axl. -----Original Message----- From: cac...@li... [mailto:cac...@li...] On Behalf Of cac...@li... Using the SELECT * FROM poller_output; command in mysql I get a list of items that were entered into mysql after the graphs stopped updating. The data is getting into mysql. What is the next step in getting to a graph? Yes. Actually able to log into mysql -u cactiuser -p. Using the password listed in the file. I also see the databases and tables in mysql. Using the SELECT * FROM poller_output; command in mysql I get a list of items that were entered into mysql after the graphs stopped updating. The data is getting into mysql. What is the next step in getting to a graph? I am also having a similar problem. I manually run the poller.php and get no errors. Run poller.php in debug mode and I getting a report that it insert into poller_output. I am using the cmd.php. Rebuild the poller cache with the rebuild_poller_cache.php script. Even ran the poller_reindex_hosts.php When I do a ls -l on the rrd files they have not been updated since last night. The charts on the screen look fine except for the blank in them. Hi, I had similar issues and found that it was probably due to rrdtool. To confirm that you can try to run the poller command directly from the command prompt. # sr/bin/php /var/www/html/cacti-0.8.6h/poller.php (or whatever the paths are on your server) It should show errors on screen if any. I, too, am running into an issue where only some of my graphs have =20 stopped updating. The time stamp on the rrd files confirm that =20 these elements have stopped being polled by SNMP. I'm running cacti.0.8.6h on MAC OS X (10.3.9). I have not enabled =20 cactid. I have cleared poller cache (via web interface) several times, even =20 stopped the cron job, disabled polling, cleared cached and re-enabled =20= everything. No change. I tried to disable a couple of the devices =20 affected and waited 2-3 polling cycles and re-enabled, no change. =20 I have been ruuning now just over 1 month without issue. Hi.. Any pointers on where else to look would be greatly appreciated. The =20= gap in the graphs is increasing greatly! I've been playing around with weatherbug.pl that came with cacti version 0.8.6g and found a couple of bugs. It doesn't capture negative values properly from the weatherbug.com data. This was simple enough to fix, just by putting a - in the character matching group: < $output =~ s/[^0-9|\|]*//gi; --- > $output =~ s/[^-0-9|\|]*//gi; I think too many of you work in datacenters in a warmer climate. ;-) I also made some quick changes to the script so that it will take arguments for the station ID and zip code instead of having to modify the script to make those changes. And added the remaining values that it will process from the return data it gets from weatherbug.com, including: [4] - Wind Direction (Degrees) [6] - Gust direction (Degrees) [8] - Rain amount today [9] - Rain rate per hour [16] - Monthly rainfall As with the barometric pressure, you'd have to divide the value of rain fall by 100 to get the proper value. While some of this information may not seem useful, its good to have it available. Some people might be using the script for graphing direction or whatever. I've attached my version of the script. Maybe it can be included in the next version of cacti to fix these issues. There was also an issue with the time being specified in the URL for the wget. -- Mark S. Do you know on which 'attribute' it say this? Which hash (number/version) does
it complain about?
If it's any of the last ones in the XML file (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Normal),
then remove them from the XML file, find YOUR hash value(s) for these and change
the XML file before trying to reload it...
Example:
<hash_150010c21df5178e5c955013591239eb0afd46>
<name>Daily (5 Minute Average)</name>
<x_files_factor>0.5</x_files_factor>
<steps>1</steps>
<rows>600</rows>
<timespan>86400</timespan>
<cf_items>1|3</cf_items>
</hash_150010c21df5178e5c955013591239eb0afd46>
If this is (one of) the one it complains about, remove that section from the XML
file, find your hash value (by trying to export something and look for this 'exact'
thing in your export) and change 'hash_150010c21df5178e5c955013591239eb0afd46'
with _YOUR_ hash value...
For example (2). This hash value is in two places (<rra_item>):
<hash_010010983dcdaa7a98ab90299c6a6a084465e4>
<name>SNMP - Local - Bind9 Statistics - totals - DATA</name>

You will have to do this manurer for ALL the rejects... !
Extreamly annoying and time consuming, but I don't know any other way to do it!
And it seems the list doesn't either... I've asked twice without responce...
[I'm trying a third time, maybe I'm luckier this time :)]
