This sounds like an SNMP timeout.  If the community is good, you should consider increasing the timeout.  Otherwise, turn on invalid data logging and find out which OID is failing and then attempt to run an SNMP get manually to find out what the issue is.  Invalid data logging can be found on the Console > Configurations > Settings > Poller tab.

It is used by one of the biggest banks in the world to monitor their global
core routers latency, throughput and packet errors... I know because I
worked on the application which was built around cacti myself.  So yes.
you can configure to monitor almost anything via SNMP and other methods.
The routers were configured using IPSLA and polled via cacti using SNMP
creating a global map (red, green, yellow) I believe it also was used to
measure jitter in some instances.

Hi there

For some reason my cacti monitoring system has stopped sending alert emails.

The last thing I remember was installing updates for the system. I've 
also purged the logs but still no email alerts.

Hello,

I recently upgraded some servers from 0.8.8h (debian 9) to 1.2.2 (debian
10).

we use plugins like settings and rrdclean, which are built in since 1.0.0
and after upgease I see errors in "plugins" menu saying "Plugin directory is
missing".

Is there a way to remove obsolete plugins from cacti?
Should I remove them before upgrade?
or should I simply drop their named from the cacti database?

I have cacti (newest version 1.2.13) on RedHat 8  and i need to move all the
graphs, I mean entire migration of RRD files and database  from old cacti
which is running redhat 6 and cact  0.88b.

I followed the steps as  mentioned in the links

problem is the copied graphs which are almost 1000 devices still do not
appear in the interface..  do you think is I am missing something?  Or this
is normal behavior as it is takes some  time to update the copied one graphs

Dear all.

 

When I have copied rrd  files from old server to the new Server with below
procedure,  It doesn't shows the previous history and stop new polling as
well.  

 

In order to  migrate the graphs I am  converting  them to XML, move them to
the new server and restore the RRD files from XML.
