Regarding new versions, there is X11 TV/Video patch pending for several years: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8811 The patch is included in openSUSE >= 11.0, so you can play TV there out of the box. The driver uses X Video overlay for displaying the video, most later TV cards use video stream. That is why many standard TV applications can't play your TV. Try for example avview. > I've read in the Video for Linux list that the card can be configured > to use its TV In/Out connections via those methods but outside of that > the authors were at a loss, also their wiki contains a lost of missing > data. There is a rudimentary support for video4linux: - Driver cooperating with XVideo driver to get card tuned. It partially works, but freezes the computer after few minutes. - There is an attempt to write full V4L driver. I never tested it. ________________________________________________________________________ Stanislav Brabec http://www.penguin.cz/~utx |

Hello! I happen to have here an All In Wonder 128 Pro based card and of course with Linux. My distribution is Slackware, version 12.1. Are there any suggestions for making use of the card in much the same fashion as probably works using those other methods? (Windows but not X.) I've read in the Video for Linux list that the card can be configured to use its TV In/Out connections via those methods but outside of that the authors were at a loss, also their wiki contains a lost of missing data. Also I have the entire contents from the download area here. What is applicable to what? And what version of the kernel are we looking at, also what version of X and X.org are we looking at here. ----- Gregg C Levine gre...@gm...
