Ok, thanks.

Can I use the ati git version with x.org 7.2? I have no experience with git,
so if I need more components, I'll wait some days and install 7.3 first, if
the release is done as planned. If not, I'll search some easy tutorial and
give it a try.

connector standard for future X). Now, the next release of the ati-driver 6=
=2E7=20
won't have randr-1.2.
It'll find it's way in the version 6.8 and has been merged to git-head just=
=20
yesterday. If you wanna test, get a very recent git-checkout and build it o=
n=20
your own.

And forget all patches you find. They're unmaintained and old.

It seems  that x.org 7.3 is going to be released soon. So I was wondering is 
we'll see some updates regarding tv-out. I've been reading the 
xorg-ati-driver list a bit, and I've seen that some work has been done. And I 
also expected that now that gatos has been relicensed, some work has been 
merged to x.org. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything like this. It seems 
that r100 and rv350 tv out should work, and that r200 should work too. But my 
igp9100 (which uses r200, I think) doesn't work well with x.org 7.2 (sync 
problems) and didn't work with the last gatos patch that I could test (sync 
problems too). So, does anybody know if we can expect good news soon?
