Tim,
This just means that somehow orktrack is not listening on port 8080. Have
you got Tomcat working correctly with orktrack deployed?

Henri,
Thanks for the info. I found a registry setting called NetworkUseG729Only
which was set to 1. I set it to zero and it works.
There is, however, the following error in the log file. Any ideas?
2007-09-05 09:45:03,578 ERROR reporting:116 - Could not contact orktrack
Thanks again!
Tim

Henri,
Thanks for the info. I found a registry setting called NetworkUseG729Only
which was set to 1. I set it to zero and it works.
There is, however, the following error in the log file. Any ideas?
2007-09-05 09:45:03,578 ERROR reporting:116 - Could not contact orktrack
Thanks again!

Tim,
Check your Communicator settings, you might have the possibility to only
allow G.711 which would work. Otherwise, the only option is to configure the
Call Manager for G.711.

Hi All, I have few more clarifications with regard to the OrecX storage and archive. 1. What will be the storage required for recording 1 session? ( storage/per minute ) 2. How you are going to achieve backup/archive of recorded messages on Linux system. 3. What are the methods to send email to administrators information storage status.? 4. What are the requirements of processor, storage, RAM to record conversation of 1000 users. Average call duration of a single session can be 10 min. -- Thanks & Regards, Vidura Senadeera, Network Engineer, Debug Solutions Sri Lanka. I had thought of a work around for this but real support is awesome. OrkAudio is quickly becoming a jackknife of VoIP recording. Basically my goal is to have two people place a call to each other, and let a bunch of other people capture all of those packets and record the conversation with orkaudio. Everyone will be connected to the same wireless network, but since it goes through a router, orkaudio isn't getting any of the packets(neither does wireshark). > Putting the card into monitor mode with its default driver doesn't seem to change things at all. There is a driver out there, ipwraw, that allows the device to be in promiscuous mode, but when this driver is loaded, eth1 dissapears and a wfi0 is created. Neither orkaudio or wireshark seems to see this, and I'm guess I need to create a link between this and a virtual device so orkaudio can capture the traffic that the device is seeing. > > > I successfully made it work on a macbook(they use atheros drivers), and also having a few computers hooked up to a hub, but no luck wirelessly. You may need extra equipment depending on what you have. A hub would work but I have a better for you I think. You have a box that is going to be doing recording, correct? The box will obviously have to have enough horsepower to handle whatever call volume you are looking at. True so far? Does this box have any other function (even if it does, I don't think it will matter much). Dual home your recording box and bridge the two interfaces. This is VERY easy with Windows (after 2000) but not very hard in Linux either, it just takes some reading and command line stuff. Once done with the above. Unplug the cable going from your switch to your router and plug it into one of the bridged NIC ports, get another cable and plug that into your router. I see this as the best solution because you already need/have a recording server so no need for extra equipment and hubs were so 90s. :-) I have personally used this method and it worked perfectly except when there was too much voice traffic (200+ simultaneous calls), so I had to get a good manageable Cisco switch and mirror only the ports and IPs of interest. Thanks, Steve Totaro Henri Herscher wrote: > Fritz, > > It's not possible to the best of my knowledge to sniff an Ethernet switched > network without some port mirroring capability or an old style Ethernet hub > or an Ethernet tap. > > Henri > > -----Original Message----- > From: ore...@li... > [mailto:ore...@li...] On Behalf Of Fritz Richter > Sent: 28 août 2007 08:17 > To: Henri Herscher > Cc: ore...@li... > Subject: Re: [Oreka-user] Record SIP Calls from a SIP Router (f.e. Hi Henri, I understand your idea. In my case, I think it is a hardware problem, bacause the router is such an multi all-in-one system, whith an integrated modem, etc... Due to the fact, that my provider handles two seperate TCP Sessions (Internet and Phone), to prevent the phonecalls to be transmitted over the internet, I think there is no chance to pass through the SIP Packets to the local area network. With the original firmware the Zyxel device is able to pass-through the packets, but unfortunately it is not able to change the behaviour of my branded version (O2). cheers Fritz Henri Herscher schrieb: > Fritz, > > You need to be able to see the SIP/RTP traffic as Ethernet packets.
