I have installed OrkAudio on Debian lenny and it works fine.
 
I have Java 1.5, Tomcat 5.5 and MySQL 5.0 (hopefully 4.x is not
mandatory). I have followed the installation instructions in the online
user manual to install OrkTrack and OrkWeb. Tomvcat has unpacked the
.war files and I've updated the web.xml files.
 
When I start Tomcat, it tries to start OrkTrack and OrkWeb but fails
with an Exception. Here is the log for OrkWeb. OrkTrack has the same
exception. Does it have something to do with my Java environment? Or
with Tomcat?

I have the latest version of Orekaudio running from the SVN.

Does this code support recording Avaya H323? It is implied in the xml
config file;

I searched everywhere for that installer binary and cannot find it not even
on SourceForge. Can anyone help tell me how to get it?

 

I used orkaudio-0.5-313-win32-installer to install the main service.

Yes I did that yesterday and it did work and I can hear the recordings
alright. However, still remains the security issue I mentioned below. I can
put the full HTTP path of the wav file without having to log in..
For example:
http://10.11.220.10:8080//2009/07/26/19/20090726_191754_10.121.230.30,29990.
wav  plays with no problems.

Other one are sniffed, but not converted ...

Is there a way to manually convert theses files ?
Is the compression codec (G711and G729) the reason for theses files ?
How can I convert all the files automatically ?

Hello again,

Thank you Barry for solving my issue with file permissions, it worked
perfectly.  I'm now left with only one more problem, regarding a difference
between system time and the time oreka believes it to be.

The current system clock is correct, as is the BIOS clock; these are using
BST (GMT+1).  I have verified this by using both 'date' and 'hwclock'.  For
some reason oreka believes the current time to be one hours less, which
would be GMT0/UTC.  While I am not bothered that the logs are one hour out,
it does mean that recorded calls are placed in the wrong folders, which is
somewhat irksome.

Has anyone else experienced this, or could offer a pointer or two?

We are working on this. Right now it is not possible for Oreka to be an
active SIP endpoint. A good solution however would probably be to setup a
server with Asterisk terminating the SIP trunks coming from the recorded
phones and deploy Oreka on the same server so that it intercepts the SIP
traffic.

Does Oreka support (or plan to support) recording Cisco CallManager 6 and
above calls using the new SIP INVITE based method of call recording,
negating the need for SPAN ports?  CallManager sends two INVITEs to the
recorder to record the call and the IP phone's built in bridge streams the
RTP directly to the call recorder.  I know this is supported by several
commercial recorders, just wondering if there are any plans to support it
here?  Would be a nice feature as we have several clusters with a large
number of remote sites where the odd phone needs to be recorded and the cost
of putting a dedicated recorder (or SPANing back the voice VLAN) is
prohibitive.

The open source version does not have this capability.

Actually, it is very likely that your signalling protocol is proprietary
Alcatel UA/NOE instead of h323.

perfectly.  I'm now left with only one more problem, regarding a difference
between system time and the time oreka believes it to be.

The current system clock is correct, as is the BIOS clock; these are using
BST (GMT+1).  I have verified this by using both 'date' and 'hwclock'.  For
some reason oreka believes the current time to be one hours less, which
would be GMT0/UTC.  While I am not bothered that the logs are one hour out,
it does mean that recorded calls are placed in the wrong folders, which is
somewhat irksome.

Has anyone else experienced this, or could offer a pointer or two?

I have installed OrkAudio and have it working. I cannot get OrkWeb to work.

The problem seems to be with Tomcat interacting with the lib.zip files that

to be placed in the Tomcat directory. WHen these "jar" files are in the

I have Java (appears to be 1.6.0_14) installed

Installed TomCat 6.0.20 Server

and MySQL 5.1

 

I was able to naviagte to http://localhost:8080 or
http://localhost:8080/manager/html so
Apache seemed to be working.

 

However after completing the step where I copy the files from lib.zip to

C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\lib

I am no longer able to to navigate to the localhost pages (at all)

The web browser hangs for a long time.
(Yes Apache service is started!). If the lib.zip files are present or not

in the Tomcat directory is the only factor that changed.

 

If I then go and remove the files in the Tomcat directory (there were 52 of
them)
presto, I can now navigate to http://localhost:8080 <http://localhost:8080/>
again. I tried completely unistalling and

then reinstalling everything and have the same result.

 

Questions: 

1) Are the prerequisites OK (I think I have more recent versions of them
than specified)?

2) Anyone have similar issues?

3) Any suggestions?

I am using oreka on alcatel 4400 PBX which use H323 as a signaling protocol , oreka could not get the caller id just get the local and the remote ips ,why?
and is there any way to get the caller id?

Does Oreka support (or plan to support) recording Cisco CallManager 6
and above calls using the new SIP INVITE based method of call recording,
negating the need for SPAN ports?  CallManager sends two INVITEs to the
recorder to record the call and the IP phone's built in bridge streams
the RTP directly to the call recorder.  I know this is supported by
several commercial recorders, just wondering if there are any plans to
support it here?  Would be a nice feature as we have several clusters
with a large number of remote sites where the odd phone needs to be
recorded and the cost of putting a dedicated recorder (or SPANing back
the voice VLAN) is prohibitive.
