Hi folks, I would like to ask if it is possible to record only specific users. This is theoretically possible because orkaudio is aware of this information. Is it possible to set the setting like this either in orkaudio or orktrack? I was thinking about setting PcapFilter to specific a user or an ip, but this would require a restart. It is possible to set this feature using a database? I want to do this because of legal metter. Thanks. Regards, Efelin |

Hello, I am using the Windows version and have added TapeFileNaming to the TapeProcessors list and added <TapeFileNaming> and <TapePathNaming> sections to the config.xml file and the recordings are still being saved in the fault path and file names. For Windows, do I need to specify drive letter too like: <TapePathNaming>c:\myrecordings</TapePathNaming> <TapeFileNaming>nativecallid,_,localip,_,remoteip</TapeFilenaming> Thanks for any help. -Paul |

Neal, I've gotten Tomcat6 to work with Ubuntu 10.10. Are you installing all the same versions listed in the directions or are you installing the latest and greatest? Example is libpcap. I think the latest is 1.1 but for Ubuntu they have 0.7. I tried installing with the default versions that apt-get would want me to use but this failed. I then installed it with the versions listed in the Users Guide and I was able to get it to work for me. I followed the installation and troubleshooting sections to get it working. That's how I got it to work. is CentOS really lightweight? I would have to run it in a VM, or is there an easier way, I can't afford more hardware and I've got the recording part compiled and working, all I need is to get orktrack/orkweb working, does anyone have any better ideas than running in a VM? if not where to get a major stripped down headless CentOS install cd? Yes. I reinstalled with 32-bit CentOS cds, from scratch. As for 'what you read on the internet'... Pure Java is platform-agnostic. However, there is inevitably some 'helper code' involved which takes the well-intentioned platform-agnostic code and makes it useless on any platform for which the builders did not compile the helper-code for. This was a problem for Dell DRAC firefox plugin, for example, if you wanted to actually use the part of the Java 'cross-platform code' that let you share your local devices with your remote server. It only worked on Linux with 32-bit firefox, 32-bit Java, etc. Dell did later fix that problem. ________________________________________ From: Neal Piche [phi...@gm...] Sent: Friday, May 06, 2011 1:02 AM To: David Backeberg; oreka-user Subject: Re: [Oreka-user] getting a REAL error message did you change the version of tomcat as well when you went back to 32bit by any chance, from what I read on the internet java is in bytecode so it is neither 32bit or 64bit until it is compiled by the Just In Time compiler at runtime, so I don't see how 64bit os and java should make a difference.... also if anyone else has some ideas on this On 04/14/2011 01:39 PM, David Backeberg wrote: >> When it compiles, at least I assume it does since there are binary files ( I have eclipse in auto mode for debugging which I couldn't figure out) the files it gives me are not in the right places already is>there a way to have it generate a war file? > When I got stuck with this problem, I tried to build with Eclipse and failed. did you change the version of tomcat as well when you went back to 32bit by any chance, from what I read on the internet java is in bytecode so it is neither 32bit or 64bit until it is compiled by the Just In Time compiler at runtime, so I don't see how 64bit os and java should make a difference.... also if anyone else has some ideas on this On 04/14/2011 01:39 PM, David Backeberg wrote: >> When it compiles, at least I assume it does since there are binary files ( I have eclipse in auto mode for debugging which I couldn't figure out) the files it gives me are not in the right places already is>there a way to have it generate a war file? > When I got stuck with this problem, I tried to build with Eclipse and failed. Oreka supports separate channel recording or stereo recording. However,
this feature requires pcmwav, ulaw or alaw as a storage format and does not
support gsm.
To set up stereo recording, please modify the config.xml file (in
/etc/orkaudio) by modifying/adding the following:
<StorageAudioFormat>pcmwav</StorageAudioFormat>
<StereoRecording>true</StereoRecording>
<TapeNumChannels>2</TapeNumChannels>
You can substitute pcmvav with ulaw or alaw.
You will need to restart the orkaudio service for this to take effect.
