Hi Carlos,
 
That will be your problem, "payload type:18" is a G.729 codec that isn't
supported in the free version of Orkaudio. Depending on your phone system,
you might be able to re-configure to use a supported codec (G.711, G.722 or
GSM6.10).

Hi Carlos,

I suspect that your telephone system is using an unsupported codec. To
verify this you would need to look for the following line in your
"orkaudio.log" file,  "unsupported RTP payload type:**" 

Unfortunately if this is the case, your options are limited. You can see if
your telephone system is configurable to use another codec, or Oreka has a
corporate class solution which would most likely support your system
(however, not free).

Hope this is of some help, if not let us know what the logs contain.

I have trouble hearing the recordings!

I configured the record go to "C:\Program Files\Apache Software
Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ROOT".

I think that is working because I have a folder with the year, with months
and then with day and then it inside *. mcf files.

But when I try to listen, nothing happens, the media player it always says
"connecting...".
Can someone give me a hand?

but I would suggest not using a remote drive mount as your destination
for files.

Are you 100% sure that drive is always mapped and available?

Seems dangerous if the other server disappears, or if the drive letter
goes missing.

Seems safer to use a local drive, or install oreka on the system that
has the drive you were trying to mount.

I don't use Oreka on Windows,

We have a system called Speakerbus and it is asking for a static ip address
for our voice recorder. Orkaudio is not picking up the audio streams on the
mirrored port. I think they use a different codec and for voice recording
they convert and send it on. Is there away I can get orkaudio to listen on
an IP address?

Another thing I have noticed is that orkaudio isn't picking up internal
calls from the look off it. Is there anything I need to set? Maybe this
would pickup our Speakerbus calls as well.

1. and 3. are related, you need to fix 3. and it will also fix 1.

Oreka should automatically pick up the SIP packets and report the phone
numbers, if not the case it might be a variety of reasons but most likely
your port mirroring is wrongly configured so the  SIP does not even hit the
recording server.

 

2. I have no idea. What exactly do you see?

we're using Oreka recording in production environment for last year. We're
recording about 10-20 calls simultaneously. It is great - we haven't found
another working solution for this.

But there are some issues. All we need is doing reliable connections between
calls and recorded files... but

1) Some wav records contain more than one conversation (calls) in one file.
For example three "joined" calls in the wav file. We have set up timeouts
(<RtpSessionTimeoutSec> and <RtpSessionWithSignallingTimeoutSec> to "1") and
it is better now - but not 100% - there are still same joined sessions. Can
we debug RTP recording at Oreka? I think there should be some information
like "call start" and "call end" in SIP protocol - does Oreka listen to this
events?

2) There is also some problem with startTime of recording in the Oreka
database - does Oreka make some buffering before writing timestampts for
recorded files? 

3) How to store called numbers to database? Is there any possibility to
extract this information from SIP by Oreka?

Where 174.89.158.59 would ebe the address of your SIP proxy. It can be a csv
list too.

Hi,

I installed oreka, its excellent tool but I have an issue. How do I set up
the directions? 

I have a sip provider and it sends me the external calls through sip trunk
to my asterisks. 

I create folder based on extensions but it creates folders for in coming
calls as well, it creates folders for mobile telephone numbers, external
numbers etc..

 Oreka should realise that the asterisks is the main system and all the
extensions there local. Is there anyway to tell oreka which are the local
extensions and which are remote, and it creates folder only for local
extensions.

I have added the domain and ip address of my system in the config file but
it didnt help.

Please help.

As long as the two softphones generate recordings with different extension
numbers (localparty) you should be in business.
