Does anyone have any solid documentation about how to get OrkWeb up and going either on Windows or in Linux? For Windows, I did finally get most of the directory structure and stuff working out in Tomcat, and got the webpage to actually work, but I cant login to it - I tried using the same password as I used when I setup the MySQL database. For Linux, no matter what distro I use, I cant find all the dependencies that are required - anyone have any luck here? |

Sunil, Most likely, your SPAN is wrongly configured to monitor only one direction. It should be set to "both". You can take a pcap trace with Wireshark or tcpdump, zip it and send it to me offline. Bill,
About tracking: just ignore it, orkaudio will work just fine standalone,
even if no tracker is listening.
Otherwise, TapeFileNaming only works on the latest svn trunk. See details
below.
About the "native" format. This allows you to not do any transcoding. You
can do the transcoding later using "orkaudio transcode file.mcf"
Henri
===================================================
TapeFileNaming and TapePathNaming
It is possible to configure the path to which audio files are written as
well as the audio file names as a combination of the following dynamic
parameters:
[nativecallid] This is the call ID extracted from the underlying protocol
(SIP, Cisco Skinny, ...)
[trackingid] This is the internal Oreka tracking ID
[direction] in, out or unkn
[shortdirection] I, O or U
[remoteparty]
[localparty]
[localip]
[remoteip]
[hostname]
[year]
[day]
[month]
[hour] in 24 hours format
[min]
[sec]
You can also use any additional custom extracted field by using its field
name as a key. e.g for a SIP field called X-Unique-ID:
[X-Unique-ID]
The TapeFileNaming tape processor needs to be added to the list of
processors in the orkaudio config.xml file:
<TapeProcessors>BatchProcessing, TapeFileNaming, Reporting</TapeProcessors>
And the following configuration parameters need to be added under the
config.xml root node (this is just an example):
<TapeFileNaming>myrecording,[hour],[min],[sec],_,[shortdirection],_,[remotep
arty],_,[localparty],_,[hostname]</TapeFileNaming>
<TapePathNaming>mypathprefix/,[year],[month],/,[day]</TapePathNaming>
Note: TapePathNaming configuration is always relative to AudioOutputPath.

Subject: [Oreka-user] Misc. Configuration questions
I'm finding the following errors with orkaudio debug....
2009-10-25 19:26:59,919 ERROR reporting:400 - [localhost,8080] Could not
contact orktrack
I tried commenting out the OrkTrack parameters like so:
<!-- <TrackerHostname>localhost</TrackerHostname> -->
<!-- <TrackerTcpPort>8080</TrackerTcpPort> -->
but this didn't work. Is there anyway to disable Tracking if I want to run
orkaudio standalone? EnableReporting doesn't appear in the example
config.xml so I am unsure how to use it.
TapeFileNaming parameter doesn't seem to be working either. Has this been
deprecated? I wanted to use the SIP callid so that I could easily match
these 'tapes' back to calls in Asterisk and FreeSWITCH.
If anyone has any suggestions on how this can be easily accomplished, please
let me know.
Can anyone explain the <TapeProcessors>BatchProcessing,
Reporting</TapeProcessors> parameter?
A side question- Does Oreka actually do any transcoding if the
StorageAudioFormat is the same as what is being captured (ulaw/ulaw)? What
can I do with these MCF files that 'native' option produces (Are these
whatever codec was captured with a .mcf extension or is there more to this)?
Thanks Again!

A "make install" will not automatically install the /etc/ config files, with the risk of overwriting working configs. Instead, you can type "make samples" and it will install sample config files names, for example /etc/orkaudio/config.xml.sample That way there is zero chance of accidentally trashing a working config. -Barry |

Hi, Could you please help me fix this issue? Thanks a lot _____ From: wazab [mailto:sg...@gm...] Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2009 3:40 PM To: 'Henri Herscher' Cc: 'ore...@li...' Subject: RE: [Oreka-user] Recordings default path Hi Henry, Yes I did that yesterday and it did work and I can hear the recordings alright. However, still remains the security issue I mentioned below. I can put the full HTTP path of the wav file without having to log in.. For example: http://10.11.220.10:8080//2009/07/26/19/20090726_191754_10.121.230.30,29990. wav plays with no problems. Cheers, Henri _____ From: wazab [mailto:sg...@gm...] Sent: 26 July 2009 13:44 To: ore...@li... Subject: [Oreka-user] Recordings default path Hi, I got orkaudio, orkweb, and orktrack all working fine under Windows XP. My problem is the common problem of getting the recorded files to playback in OrkWeb. I read all similar post in the forum but I noticed that it seems I am doing something wrong. I used orkaudio-0.5-313-win32-installer.exe to install OrkAudio which installs by default in C:\Program Files\Orkaudio accordingly the recordings are saved in the AudioRecordings folder under this path. OrkWeb is installed under C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.0\webapps\orkweb. I noticed that the Java script play button is pointing to the URL http://10.11.220.10:8080//2009/07/26/19/20090726_191754_10.121.230.30,29990. wav <http://10.11.220.10:8080/2009/07/26/19/20090726_191754_10.121.230.30,29990. wav> The WAV files are of course not located in that folder and that is why they are not reachable even by IE. So what is the right method if getting the recordings be saved in the proper Tomcat OrkWeb folder. Also it is important that these files are not reachable unless the correct credentials for the OrkWeb are entered. Thanks |

Have a look at the service table in MySQL and change the file serve port to what you need. Cheers, Henri _____ From: Ben Krause [mailto:be...@ec...] Sent: 29 September 2009 20:25 To: ore...@li... Subject: Re: [Oreka-user] Problems with Orktrack Not working I did finally find this information and it worked to some extent. I was able to start logging calls but the links to the audio files through the website still pointed to port 8080. So for now I have changed everything to port 8080, but I would love it if you could tell me how to change the ports from 8080 for the audio links through the website. I saw that it had something to do with changing something in the mysql database but I just couldn't get it figured out completely. Thanks. Henri _____ From: Ben Krause [mailto:be...@ec...] Sent: 18 September 2009 09:16 To: ore...@li... Subject: [Oreka-user] Problems with Orktrack Not working I am using Windows XP professional and have installed Orkaudio and Orktrack/Orkweb and all the pre-requisites. I am able to capture audio calls and hear them by opening the wav files from the local hard disk. I can access the orkweb application and login. But I get no results when searching. I have read over the troubleshooting and changed the audio storing path to point to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ROOT but this still does not allow it to work. So after looking at my orkaudio.log file I am getting the following error: ERROR reporting:116 - Could not contact orktrack I opened mysql.hbm.xml in both the c:\oreka\orekweb and c:\oreka\orektrack to verify the settings are correct and they are. Everything is running off the same computer (mysql, tomcat, orkaudio, orkweb, and orktrack etc.) I'm using the same username and password for database access for both orktrack and orkweb. So if it was a problem with access I would imagine the orkweb would not work. The only thing I skewed in my installation is that I set the Tomcat to work on port 80 instead of 8080. I don't think this would be a problem but then again this is my first time installing these softwares. I am attaching my log files below, thanks for any help someone can give me: Orkaudio.log 2009-09-18 08:52:28,253 INFO root:93 - Loaded plugin: ./plugins/RtpMixer.dll 2009-09-18 08:52:28,253 INFO batchProcessing:129 - thread Th0 starting - queue size:20000 2009-09-18 08:52:28,253 INFO immediateProcessing:53 - thread starting - queue size:10000 2009-09-18 08:52:28,253 INFO root:87 - Loaded plugin: audiocaptureplugins//VoIP.dll 2009-09-18 08:52:28,253 INFO packet:835 - Initializing VoIP plugin 2009-09-18 08:52:28,300 INFO packet:753 - Available pcap devices: 2009-09-18 08:52:28,300 INFO packet:760 - * \Device\NPF_GenericDialupAdapter - Generic dialup adapter 2009-09-18 08:52:28,300 INFO packet:760 - * \Device\NPF_{50A65974-525D-411D-9A60-E246C50505DC} - Intel 8255x-based Integrated Fast Ethernet (Microsoft's Packet Scheduler) 2009-09-18 08:52:28,300 INFO packet:760 - * \Device\NPF_{C0199B87-BF60-4CF5-B048-FDEFA5D8A251} - Realtek RTL8139 Family Fast Ethernet Adapter (Microsoft's Packet Scheduler) 2009-09-18 08:52:28,300 INFO packet:806 - Successfully opened default device:\Device\NPF_{C0199B87-BF60-4CF5-B048-FDEFA5D8A251} pcap handle:1223450 2009-09-18 08:52:28,300 INFO packet:617 - Start Capturing: pcap handle:1223450 2009-09-18 08:52:51,800 INFO sip:351 - INVITE: sender:192.168.1.105 from:111 RTP:192.168.1.105,4000 to:TSVM rcvr:192.168.1.130 callid:99ce595e9593d60f051f414636ce71d4@192.168.1.105 2009-09-18 08:52:51,800 INFO rtpsessions:567 - XCI: created by SIP INVITE 2009-09-18 08:52:52,300 INFO rtpsession:347 - XCI: 1st packet s1: 192.168.1.130,7000 192.168.1.105,4000 seq:36398 ts:418269981 len:160 type:0 2009-09-18 08:52:52,300 INFO rtpsession:76 - XCI: 192.168.1.105,4000 Sip Session start, timestamp:1253278372 2009-09-18 08:52:52,300 INFO port:166 - #192.168.1.105,4000: start 2009-09-18 08:52:52,800 INFO rtpsession:370 - XCI: 1st packet s2: 192.168.1.105,4000 192.168.1.130,7000 seq:3966 ts:874020806 len:160 type:0 2009-09-18 08:52:52,800 INFO rtpsession:403 - XCI: 192.168.1.105,4000: Applying timestamp corrective delta:455745705 2009-09-18 08:53:21,394 INFO sip:243 - BYE: callid:99ce595e9593d60f051f414636ce71d4@192.168.1.105 2009-09-18 08:53:21,394 INFO rtpsession:56 - XCI: 192.168.1.105,4000 Session stop, num RTP packets:2870, last updated:1253278401 2009-09-18 08:53:21,394 INFO port:184 - #192.168.1.105,4000: stop 2009-09-18 08:53:21,394 INFO tapelist:210 - date=2009-09-18_08-52-52 duration=29 direction=out capturePort=192.168.1.105,4000 localParty=111 remoteParty=TSVM localEntryPoint= localIp=192.168.1.105 remoteIp=192.168.1.130 2009-09-18 08:53:21,394 INFO batchProcessing:165 - Th0 processing: 20090918_085252_192.168.1.105,4000 2009-09-18 08:53:21,394 INFO batchProcessing:202 - Th0 RTP payload type:0 2009-09-18 08:53:21,550 INFO batchProcessing:266 - Th0 deleting native: 20090918_085252_192.168.1.105,4000 2009-09-18 08:53:21,550 INFO reporting:79 - hostname=phone-recorder type=tape recid=20090918_085252_192.168.1.105,4000 stage=stop captureport=192.168.1.105,4000 timestamp=1253278372 filename=2009/09/18/08/20090918_085252_192.168.1.105,4000.wav localparty=111 localentrypoint= remoteparty=TSVM direction=out duration=29 service=orkaudio-phone-recorder localip=192.168.1.105 remoteip=192.168.1.130 2009-09-18 08:53:22,691 ERROR reporting:116 - Could not contact orktrack Orkweb.log 17:54:40,379 root INFO - ======================================== 17:54:40,379 root INFO - orkweb starting ... 17:54:43,941 org.apache.tapestry.ApplicationServlet INFO - Initialized application servlet 'orkweb': 1,344 millis to create HiveMind Registry, 3,032 millis overall. 17:54:44,113 org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/jsp-examples ] INFO - ContextListener: contextInitialized() 17:54:44,113 org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/jsp-examples ] INFO - SessionListener: contextInitialized() 17:54:44,254 org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/servlets-exa mples] INFO - ContextListener: contextInitialized() 17:54:44,254 org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/servlets-exa mples] INFO - SessionListener: contextInitialized() Orktrack.log 17:54:35,973 net.sf.oreka.orktrack.OrkTrack INFO - ======================================== 17:54:35,973 net.sf.oreka.orktrack.OrkTrack INFO - OrkTrack starting ... Hi, I have Asterisk and Oreka installed on the same box and my call flow looks like this: Softphone -> Asterisk/Oreka -> Gateway 59.86.191.2 203.212.16.229 202.169.178.10 Save on overseas calls and SMS direct from your mobile. gotalk mobile lets you "Share the Moment" with family and friends overseas when and where you like. Call rates on our straight talk plan start from just 3.5c per min (plus flagfall). Find out more at www.gotalkmobile.com.au <-------------- A leg ----------------> From: 1001 To: 0756094565 <-----------------------B leg -------------------> From: 09430957 To: 0756094565 The softphone (running on my PC) is a SIP extension on Asterisk. The To: number is my desk phone. The From: on the B leg is the VoIP account defined in the SIP trunk in Asterisk and registered at my gateway. In orkaudio config.xml if I leave all the options in the VoIpPlugin section commented out, I can record the call but only get the IP addresses for the softphone and Asterisk and no Direction. I've tried mucking around with AllowedIpRanges, LanMasks and MediaGateways to no avail. Any of the settings I've tried cause the call not to be recorded. How can I configure my VoIpPlugin section so I can record the call with the From: To: and Direction: fields populated with the right values? If someone can explain how the LanMasks is supposed to work that would be very helpful. The documentation doesn't make it clear exactly what type of values it expects. Is it a netmask style mask or a CIDR value? The examples in the file aren't very helpful. Thanks, David |

Hi All, I have installed orkaudio on a Windows Vista machine and can see no captured voice conversations. Orkaudio is installed on a Windows 2003 server and is working fine. Something I noticed was that during installation, the wincap monitor driver does not bind to the NIC (it's doesn't show either). So I tried to install Network Monitor Driver 3 for Vista and reinstall wincap but didn't work. Any ideas? Thank you. |

We are using orkaudio to record calls with a 24 channel line. Recording is going fine. These are open lines to other end. So it is doing recording for all time. Is there any way with that we can stop and start the recording when conversation going on. Because there is no dialing in our system. Or is there any solution with we can remove silence after recording has been done. Amit |

I have experienced this behaviour also. The IP address used is the address of the RTP stream. In my environment I have separate IP addresses for SIP signalling and RTP. 202.169.178.12 is the IP address for the RTP streeam of the originating gateway and 203.212.16.229 is the orkaudio box. The examples below seems to indicate that the local/remote party is determined by whoever starts sending RTP packets first. The recording itself still records OK. +----+----------------+----------------+----------+--------------------- -+---------------------+-----------+ | id | localParty | remoteParty | duration | recPortName | timestamp | direction | +----+----------------+----------------+----------+--------------------- -+---------------------+-----------+ | 81 | 885049300 | 60000882163357 | 33 | 202.169.178.12,14648 | 2009-10-06 11:35:33 | 1 | | 83 | 203.212.16.229 | 202.169.178.12 | 9 | 203.212.16.229,56002 | 2009-10-06 11:36:23 | 3 | | 84 | 893677100 | 60000892160620 | 51 | 202.169.178.12,16024 | 2009-10-06 11:36:25 | 1 | | 85 | 893677100 | 60000892160620 | 39 | 202.169.178.12,16532 | 2009-10-06 11:36:43 | 1 | | 86 | 202.169.178.12 | 203.212.16.229 | 37 | 202.169.178.12,17128 | 2009-10-06 11:37:06 | 3 | | 90 | 893677100 | 60000863105607 | 56 | 202.169.178.12,17628 | 2009-10-06 11:37:25 | 1 | | 88 | 893677100 | 60000450885649 | 48 | 202.169.178.12,17580 | 2009-10-06 11:37:27 | 1 | | 87 | 863659367 | 60000893138333 | 36 | 202.169.178.12,17612 | 2009-10-06 11:37:29 | 1 | +----+----------------+----------------+----------+--------------------- -+---------------------+-----------+ Henri - Did you find out what was happening with Barry's problem? Hi Any chance of changing it so that doing a 'make install' does not overwrite a pre-existing config.xml or other config files? Twice now I have got caught by this ;-( installing config.xml.dist, or having a 'make config' would be far better. Thanks -Barry Flanagan |
