Hi Austin,
The way it works is that OrkAudio ships metadata to OrkTrack who does the
job of logging the calls. This is so that it should be possible to run
multiple instances of OrkAudio on different machines and have them all
report to the same instance of OrkTrack.
Most likely, all you need to do is to enable reporting in the OrkAudio
config file (config.xml) as such:
<EnableReporting>true</EnableReporting>
Let us know if you still don't see anything logged to MySQL (you also need
to make sure you have deployed OrkTrack to your Tomcat as described in the
documentation).
Cheers
Henri

Subject: [Oreka-user] Does orkaudio/orktrack automatically log call
recording details to the MySQL database?
hi henri,
ive managed to get orkaudio to record sip calls and
save the .wav files in the directory:
<ORKAUDIO_HOME>/audiorecordings
...on my winXP installation. ive also completed
orktrack and orkweb's build and i now have orkweb
up and running on my local tomcat installation and
accessible on my browser. my local mysql database
has also been populated with dummy data from the
FillDatabase java application included in the test
package.
after i made sip calls and verified that orkaudio had
indeed recorded the call and saved the recordings in
two .wav files (one .wav named for each of the
calling and called ip's), i checked orkweb and mysql
for entries for that call but found none.
is orkaudio/orktrack supposed to log call recordings
on the mysql database?and are entries for the call
recordi ng supposed to show up on orkweb? so far
the details of new call recordings arent logged onto
the database, neither do they show up on my orkweb.
am i missing something on any configuration file
somewhere?
thanks and best regards,
austin

Hi Mike, So far oreka has been tested on Cisco Call Manager and asterisk (chan_sip and berlios chan_sccp) platforms. I do not expect any particular problems with other PBXs as RTP as a standard has nothing complicated about it. Metadata extraction on SIP and SCCP control messages is simple enough that it should work well on other systems. If you are testing it against another platform, let this mailing list know your experience. Cheers Henri _____ From: ore...@li... I would like to get further information on the Oreka system, specifically which PBXs this has been implemented with. Mike |

Hi Gabriel, In order to activate audio recording from sound cards, all you need to = do is to comment out the VoIP and Generator plugins and to uncomment the SoundDevice plugin such as the following: <!--<CapturePlugin>VoIP.dll</CapturePlugin>--> <!--<CapturePlugin>Generator.dll</CapturePlugin>--> <CapturePlugin>SoundDevice.dll</CapturePlugin> Then, you have to choose if you want to do recording on a "voice = activated" basis (i.e signal power triggered) or on a permanent basis with = segmented storage. For segmented recording, just use the following parameters: <AudioSegmentation>true</AudioSegmentation> <AudioSegmentDuration>10</AudioSegmentDuration> Which will record to 10 seconds audio files all the time. For "Voice activated", use the following parameters: <VAD>true<VAD> <VadHighThresholdDb>-12.2<VadHighThresholdDb> <VadLowThresholdDb>-12.5<VadLowThresholdDb> <VadHoldOnSec>4<VadHoldOnSec> I'm currently looking into using a "real" voice activity detection = system rather than hardcoded levels. I have attached an example config.xml. If it still does not work, could you please send me the output of your orkaudio.log when the service starts up ? =20 Thanks Henri -----Original Message----- From: ore...@li...
