I have installed OrkAudio and have it working. I cannot get OrkWeb to work. The problem seems to be with Tomcat interacting with the lib.zip files that need to be placed in the Tomcat directory. WHen these "jar" files are in the Tomcat directory, Apache seems to be completely dead (can't even go to http://localhost:8080/manager/html ) I used instructions here: (best description I could find) http://translate.google.ca/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=http://icepartners.ru/sistema-zapisi-razgovorov-dlya-3cx-phone-system.html&ei=8Gk_Sr32A4nUNJPtrKgO&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=6&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dorktrack%2B%252Blib.zip%2B%252B%255DTomcat%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG to install OrkWeb/OrkTrack I have Java (appears to be 1.6.0_14) installed Installed TomCat 6.0.20 Server and MySQL 5.1 I was able to naviagte to http://localhost:8080 or http://localhost:8080/manager/html so Apache seemed to be working. However after completing the step where I copy the files from lib.zip to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\lib I am no longer able to to navigate to the localhost pages (at all) The web browser hangs for a long time. (Yes Apache service is started!). If the lib.zip files are present or not in the Tomcat directory is the only factor that changed. If I then go and remove the files in the Tomcat directory (there were 52 of them) presto, I can now navigate to http://localhost:8080 again. I tried completely unistalling and then reinstalling everything and have the same result. Questions: 1) Are the prerequisites OK (I think I have more recent versions of them than specified)? 2) Anyone have similar issues? 3) Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Hello again, Thank you Barry for solving my issue with file permissions, it worked perfectly. I'm now left with only one more problem, regarding a difference between system time and the time oreka believes it to be. The current system clock is correct, as is the BIOS clock; these are using BST (GMT+1). I have verified this by using both 'date' and 'hwclock'. For some reason oreka believes the current time to be one hours less, which would be GMT0/UTC. While I am not bothered that the logs are one hour out, it does mean that recorded calls are placed in the wrong folders, which is somewhat irksome. Has anyone else experienced this, or could offer a pointer or two? Cheers. Russell Morris. Hi,
I am using the SVN version, but in the config.xml I have the following:
<AudioOutputPath>/var/recordings</AudioOutputPath>
<AudioFileOwner>www-data</AudioFileOwner>
<AudioFileGroup>www-data</AudioFileGroup>
<AudioFilePermissions>0655</AudioFilePermissions>
Works for me. Hope it helps you.

Greetings, This is a long shot, but I've pretty much exhausted all of my know-how. We're currently running oreka just fine; all calls are recorded and stored in their chronological folders, our only issue is getting another non-root user (let's call him BOB) to be able to read the resulting calls. For example, the files are to the permissions being -rw-r----- which is bad new for BOB indeed. I've tried running oreka using su - BOB -c "/usr/sbin/orkaudio debug" but it bails at this point: 2009-06-24 10:29:55,598 INFO root:93 - Loaded plugin: /usr/lib/orkaudio/plugins/librtpmixer.so 2009-06-24 10:29:55,600 INFO immediateProcessing:53 - thread starting - queue size:10000 2009-06-24 10:29:55,600 INFO batchProcessing:129 - thread Th0 starting - queue size:20000 2009-06-24 10:29:55,601 INFO root:87 - Loaded plugin: /usr/lib/libvoip.so 2009-06-24 10:29:55,602 INFO packet:835 - Initializing VoIP plugin 2009-06-24 10:29:55,603 INFO packet:753 - Available pcap devices: 2009-06-24 10:29:55,603 INFO packet:760 - * eth0 - I am assuming this is due to BOB not having the right permissions to mess about with the network layer, but am not 100% sure. I can obviously add BOB and /usr/sbin/orkaudio to the sudoers file, but then the application would be running as ROOT and I'd be back to square one. Does anyone have any info they can throw my way? Cheers. Russell. DISCLAIMER: This email is confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed. I don't suppose anyone is willing to write a plug-in that would save G729 calls in pcap format instead would they? I'm no coder myself. Eric |

Alejandro, I can look into this if you can send me a pcap trace of some traffic offline. Henri _____ From: ale...@th... [mailto:ale...@th...] Sent: 10 June 2009 15:43 To: ore...@li... Oreka is running on a Quad processor server under Windows. I have enabled the debug level on the orkaudio.log file in other to be able to analyze the issue. Is there any place where I can find the meaning of the debug/informational messages I am seeing on the orkaudio.log? B. Robert, Just do this in config,.xml under <VoIpPlugin>: <AllowedIpRanges>192.169.0.23</AllowedIpRanges> Where 192.169.0.23 is your phone. Henri _____ From: Robert Fenech [mailto:rob...@gm...] Sent: 27 May 2009 09:29 To: ore...@li... Subject: [Oreka-user] Orkaudio config.xml I managed to make this work. At the beginning I was not getting the file name stamped with the IP address of the IP phone taking part in a particular conversation. Later I modified the configuration on my switch to monitor the entire VLAN as opposed to the interface through which all traffic passes. I want to record conversations on one single IP phone so I modified the <device> parameter in config.xml to match the one assigned to the phone. Still I could not get the software to monitor just that single phone. Any ideas? |

Actually, we have gone to great lengths to make sure they are properly merged and you want to do the opposite. It is not possible to do this so far. Subject: Re: [Oreka-user] RTP steams in separate files Hi, I'm trying to use Oreka to record voip calls from my PC and I was wondering if I can record my speech and the speech from the other end in two separate files instead of merging them in one file? I downloaded the latest version of Oreka for windows. Thanks, Sridhar |

This is G729 traffic. The open source version does not support this. Cheers, Henri _____ From: Waldemar Kabała [mailto:wal...@ex...] Sent: 21 April 2009 10:15 To: ore...@li...
