Subject: [Oreka-user] Clarification on orkaudio config.xml instructions
[HH] see answers below
In the orkaudio config.xml file there is a section that reads:
<VoIpPlugin>
<!-- Use this if you want to force capture from a
given list of devices. -->
<!-- All available devices are listed in
orkaudio.log when the service is starting -->
<!--<Devices>\Device\NPF_{E0E496FA-DABF-47C1-97C2-DD914DFD3354},
\Device\NPF_{ADE496FA-DABF-47C1-97C2-DD914DFDAB38}</Devices>-->
<Devices>\Device\NPF_{3B56DD2E-A9A7-4963-A08E-E8F0645F50AB}</Devices>
<!-- If AllowedIpRanges is used, only packets with
*both* source and destination -->
<!-- matching the list are retained -->
<!--<AllowedIpRanges>212.125.143.0/24,
82.150.0.0/16, 82.199.64.133</AllowedIpRanges>-->
<!-- If BlockedIpRanges is used, packets with
*either* source or destination -->
<!-- matching the list are dropped -->
<!--<BlockedIpRanges>212.125.143.0/24,
82.150.0.0/16, 82.199.64.133</BlockedIpRanges>-->
<!-- LanMasks can be ignored if you have standard
LAN addresses (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) -->
<!-- LanMasks might be used to determine the
direction of a call (incoming or outgoing into or from the LAN) -->
<!--<LanMasks>10.4.3.4, 1.2.3.4</LanMasks>-->
<!-- The following is a csv list of your PBX, PSTN
gateway, conferencing server or such "gateway" devices -->
<!-- It is needed to properly detect call direction
-->
<!--<MediaGateways>10.0.0.102</MediaGateways>-->
</VoIpPlugin>
Five Questions
1)
This question concerns the parameter <AllowedIpRanges>.
The instructions state if it is used only packets with *both* source and
destination matching the list are retained.
Would you please expand upon this instruction? For example, if orkaudio is
listening on a sip gateway and the internal ip address range is
192.168.0.0/254 and the sip gateway is 789.123.456.1, does this mean that
the parameter <AllowedIpRanges> must be of the following:
<AllowedIpRanges>192.168.0.0/254, 789.123.456.1</AllowedIpRanges>
[HH] CIDR ranges go from 0 to 32. 0 being the entire internet and 32 being
one host. But let's say you replace /254 with /24, then what you are saying
above is correct
2)
Can the range be in the form 192.168.0/254 or must it be a full list of
192.168.0.0/254, 192.168.1.0/254, etc.?
[HH] ??? See above and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIDR
3)
If the calls are coming in from the gateway, does the AllowedIpRanges
required the "outside" address of the sip gateway as well as the "inside"
address?
[HH] yes, source and destination both need to match the list.
4)
Is Orkaudio SIP 2.0 compliant?
[HH] Yes it is. If you see a problem, please report a network trace.
5)
What were the issues you found related to the drop of one side of the
conversation?
[HH] Did you actually send a trace?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi Jon I did as per your advice, I reviewed the SQL tables within oreka database and then created an SQL batch file. Something like this; mysql --user=root --password=xxxxxx --database=oreka < "c:\sql.sql" | more (set it as cronjob runs every 2 minutes) and in sql.sql file I have done this update recsegment set RemoteParty='Tom' where RemoteParty='6502'; update recsegment set RemoteParty='Kenny' where RemoteParty='6508'; update recsegment set RemoteParty='Test' where RemoteParty='6509'; update recsegment set RemoteParty='TEST' where RemoteParty='6501'; update recsegment set RemoteParty='Test1' where RemoteParty='6504'; update recsegment set RemoteParty='Jack' where RemoteParty='6506'; update recsegment set RemoteParty='TESTED' where RemoteParty='6505'; (I have done the same for the localparty) Since this job is run as cron every 2 minutes, all numbers have changed into names without any problems. Many thanks for your help, very much appreciated. Thanks -Imran ________________________________ From: jon...@fu... [mailto:jon...@fu...] Sent: 11 June 2008 19:38 To: Imran Malik; ore...@li... Subject: RE: [Oreka-user] Oreka-user Digest, Vol 24, Issue 1 Imran, Orkaudio when configured speaks to orktrak which stores information about the recording into the database and specifically one table. Orkweb reads this table and displays the information to you the viewer and if you click on the right button, orkweb then plays the file. You want to review the java code and sql in orkweb. High level approach: 1) Identify the sql code in orkweb used to retrieve the data specifically with numbers and ports; 2) Review the table that shows the numbers and ports; 3) Create a new table that assigns names to numbers; 4) Modify the sql code in orkweb to retrieve the names rather than the numbers; 5) Alter the java code to display the names rather than the numbers; 6) Recompile or re-jarfile the java code and redeploy on your ork server; Or Contact the makers of orkaudio for their non-free system and have them make the necessary changes in the non-free system. Imran, the task is more than trivial. You must know databases, sql, java and the orkaudio software. BTW are you running on windows, if so what version? Or are you running on Linux, if so what kind and version? What kind of hardware are you running? Jonathan Jon Many thanks for quick response, we are using Cisco Call Manager 4.1 with IPCC / CRS configured. External PSTN calls are terminated on CTI ports in CCM and then calls are being presented to agents with CTI ports as CLI. For Example: you dialed 0800-XXX-XXX ----> CCM - IPCC CTI Port 6501 ----> IVR ------> AGENT 8201 ORKAUDIO is only presenting CTI Port number in ORKWEB, which is great for us. All I want to do is to translate pre-defined numbers into names. For Example: Agents 8801 Jon 8802 Michael 8803 Kristina 8804 Blah Blah 8805 Kid1 CTI Ports 6501 Business-1 6502 Business-2 6503 Business-3 I guess we can achieve this by editing oreka database in SQL, but since I am no MySQL expert I don't know how to acheive this. Please could guide in right directions? Many thanks -Imran -----Original Message----- From: ore...@li... on behalf of jon...@fu... Sent: Wed 11/06/2008 10:27 To: ore...@li... You will need to create a table in the database to store port and/or ip address with the user John, Smith, Betsy, Hammy, etc... You will need to create an interface that ties the user name to the ipadress using Java. Understand that your sip endpoint is communicating via sip using sip addressing usually 18091234567@122.122.34.56. The sip gateway or sip switch may do some translation, and you may be able to get into the sip switch via an api, but usually the best way to attach name to number is to alter the application which is showing the number. Then you will need to alter the query that pulls up the ip address to instead pull up by name. And your query should be of a left join type because the calls that are external to the sip system will not have a name for translation, so you will want to show the number instead. Not a trivial task. The makers of Orkaudio also have a private version of the product which you might want to review to see if it meets your needs. Hope that helps!!! Re: Oreka-user Digest, Vol 24, Issue 1 (jon...@fu...) > > >Please can someone help me customize the orkweb webpages, such as I want >to put logo of our company on each web page. >Is it possible? >Thanks > Imram, Easy way - read through the css and find where some of the logos are used for the existing application. Substitute your logo for the one you find in the CSS. Semi Easy way - modify the CSS and add a reference to your logo, so that when ever a style modifier is called with your logo, it will display. Hard way - rewrite the orkweb application. Imram, Orkaudio, Orktrak and Orkweb are not parameter driven applications. They are a foundation to show sip and rtp can be captured formatted, stored and replayed. Again, the open source version is not an application to be used in production, but rather a template and building block for programmers to modify to create production version applications. go here: http://www.orecx.com for the oreka tr version. It is more robust and there is a crew of programmers who can help you make the changes you need. Jonathan |

Jon Many thanks for quick response, we are using Cisco Call Manager 4.1 with IPCC / CRS configured. Hi, please can someone help? I want the local call party number to be displayed as Name and Remote called party to be displayed as name rather than number within orkweb. For example. 2008-06-11 15:01:21.0 0 8209 → 8805 113 Where 8209 is a local party I want to replace it with “John” and where 8805 is I want to replace it with “Smith” And I should be able to view this information within http://localhost:orkweb/app. Is there a way I can achieve this? Thanks in Advance. Imran |

In the orkaudio config.xml file there is a section that reads:
<VoIpPlugin>
<!-- Use this if you want to force capture from
a given list of devices. -->
<!-- All available devices are listed in
orkaudio.log when the service is starting -->
<!--<Devices>\Device\NPF_{E0E496FA-DABF-47C1-97C2-DD914DFD3354},
\Device\NPF_{ADE496FA-DABF-47C1-97C2-DD914DFDAB38}</Devices>-->
<Devices>\Device\NPF_{3B56DD2E-A9A7-4963-A08E-E8F0645F50AB}</Devices>
<!-- If AllowedIpRanges is used, only packets
with *both* source and destination -->
<!-- matching the list are retained -->
<!--<AllowedIpRanges>212.125.143.0/24,
82.150.0.0/16, 82.199.64.133</AllowedIpRanges>-->
<!-- If BlockedIpRanges is used, packets with
*either* source or destination -->
<!-- matching the list are dropped -->
<!--<BlockedIpRanges>212.125.143.0/24,
82.150.0.0/16, 82.199.64.133</BlockedIpRanges>-->
<!-- LanMasks can be ignored if you have
standard LAN addresses (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) -->
<!-- LanMasks might be used to determine the
direction of a call (incoming or outgoing into or from the LAN) -->
<!--<LanMasks>10.4.3.4, 1.2.3.4</LanMasks>-->
<!-- The following is a csv list of your PBX,
PSTN gateway, conferencing server or such "gateway" devices -->
<!-- It is needed to properly detect call
direction -->
<!--<MediaGateways>10.0.0.102</MediaGateways>-->
</VoIpPlugin>
Five Questions
1)
This question concerns the parameter <AllowedIpRanges>.
The instructions state if it is used only packets with *both* source and
destination matching the list are retained.
Would you please expand upon this instruction? For example, if orkaudio
is listening on a sip gateway and the internal ip address range is
192.168.0.0/254 and the sip gateway is 789.123.456.1, does this mean
that the parameter <AllowedIpRanges> must be of the following:
<AllowedIpRanges>192.168.0.0/254, 789.123.456.1</AllowedIpRanges>
2)
Can the range be in the form 192.168.0/254 or must it be a full list of
192.168.0.0/254, 192.168.1.0/254, etc.?
3)
If the calls are coming in from the gateway, does the AllowedIpRanges
required the "outside" address of the sip gateway as well as the
"inside" address?
4)
Is Orkaudio SIP 2.0 compliant?
5)
What were the issues you found related to the drop of one side of the
conversation?
Thanks,
Jonathan
