Back from the finisher

I sent Prairie Schooler April to Keepsakes about a month ago to have it finished into a Flat Fold.  I got it back yesterday.  All pretty and ready for the 1st of April.

I love it.  Now to get June finished and out to be finished.  I have a long way to go before June is ready to be finished.

A Fully Finish and a stitching finish

I got my first 2027 ornament back from the finisher on Wednesday.  I love what she did with my stitching.  However, I think the ornament is a little big especially since most of the recipients only have little 4' trees.

Fabric:  16CT Picture This Plus Heartland
Floss:  DMC
1st stitch:  01/01/2025 - Last Stitch: 01/08/2025
For:  2027 Christmas ornament gift
Notes:  This is the front of the last ornament I plan on stitching for the greats.
It was finished by Faye Riggsbee, The Carolina Stitcher.
I love how it is finished; however, I think it turned out a little large especially since most of them only have 4' trees.  I will stitch the next one on smaller count fabric.

I finally got the states displayed

These are the states that Bob and I have visited together since we got married in 1985.  We also went to Washington DC a couple of times, but the designer hasn't designer anything for DC and doesn't have any plans to do so since it isn't actually a state.  Political view here, it needs to be a state.  The fabric draped in back of the basket is the fabric I backed each of the states with.  I also stitched the year we visited each state and covered the stuffing slit in the back of the ornament with it.  On PA I just stitched HOME.

15 Fully Finishes

I have finally finished all 15 of the states Bob and I have visited together.  Someday I will take a picture of each one individually, but for right now I have taken a picture of them all together.

Vermont, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Washington, California, Oregon
It seems like it took me forever to fully finish these.  I did OK until I had to sew the stuffing slit closed on the back and then it took me a long time to do that and stitch the year we visited each state to cover up the closed slit.  But here they all are.  Now I just need to find something to display them in and a place to put them.

Progress on Monet's Irises

I finished page 4 of Monet's Irises.  I have been averaging about 100 stitches each time I stitch on it.  It is so much prettier in person then this picture shows.  I am going to put it aside for a few days but the next time I pick it up I will be starting page 5.
