Some additional news

Some things I forgot to post in my earlier post today.  Nothing to do with stitching just stuff about my life.  First my Great Nephew and his wife (Rob & Laycee) had a baby boy on Friday morning.  His name is Matthias Andrew, they are going to call him Matty and he weighed 10 lbs. So I am now a Great Great Aunt.  Makes me feel old.

The other thing is that I was asked on Thursday if I would like to work part time at my old job.  I will be working about 12 hours a week.  I don't mind as it will give me a little extra money and it will get me out of the house a little each week.  It isn't a sure thing yet but I will know by this coming Wednesday or Thursday if I am going back.  It will only be the accounting part of the job which is the part I really liked to do.

Poor Bob is really bummed out.  He goes back to work tomorrow after a weeks vacation.

Back from the Framers

I picked this up at the framers this morning.  The framer is my LNS.  While I was there I picked up some fabric for a project my sister wants me to stitch for her and some beads and a button for Baby's First Christmas.  Now I juat have to wait until the baby is born to finish the stitching on it.  He is due the begining of August so not to much longer.

Sorry about the glare.  I don't normally have glass put on my stitching but this niece as 3 or more cats and so I thought glass would be best.

2 Completed Halloween Ornaments

I have completed 2 Halloween Ornaments this week.  I like them and I hope you do too.

Glory Bee - Boo
I stitched this earlier in the year when I stitched the
sweatshirt with the same design.

Prairie Schooler
Boo To You  - Book No. 156
Stitched on 16 Count French Vanilla
from Sassy's Fabrics
DMC Floss
Started 7/6/2011
Finished 7/11/2011
That makes 3 completed ornaments for the ornament tree for Fall/Halloween

I'll post a picture of Bridge in Monet's Garden when I get page 3 finished.  Should be in about a week unless I get distracted.

Tomorrow I am planning a trip to my LNS.  She called yesterday while I was at work to tell me Quaker Welcome is framed and ready for pickup.  I can't wait to see it.  I am going to take Halloween Quaker for her to frame next.  When I get that one back I will take LHN Sunflower Inn to get framed.  I am also planning on getting some fabric for a chart my sister picked up the last time we were there and I need a button and some beads for Baby's First Christmas.

I spent today cleaning, and baking.  I baked a batch of zucchini muffins for Bob.  He eats a muffin every morning for breakfast.  He now has zucchini and peach muffins in the freezer.  They should last him for a little while.  Then I ate lunch out on the side porch and spent an hour or two on the back porch reading a book.  The weather is lovely so I want to enjoy the outside while I can.  Winter will be here before you know it.

That's all for now.

Summer pictures of our backyard

Bob took these pictures the other day so I thought I would share them.  I love sitting out on the porch reading, watching the hummingbird at the feeder and just enjoying the summer weather.

Updating

Here are some updates.  The 1st 2 pictures are of my progress on Bridge in Monet's Garden.  I am more than half finished stitching page 3.  I am hoping to have page 3 done by July 19th.   I can do it.  The other 2 are finishes of some ornaments.  I just finished stitching the witch on Tuesday and made it into an ornament today by using the instructions in the leaflet and Time to Flutter was stitched a few years ago and has been hanging around waiting for me to finished into something.
