Merry Christmas

I just wanted to drop in and wish all my friends and followers a Very Merry Christmas.

I also want to show you a picture of my latest finish.

This of course is a sweatshirt that I stitched Drawn Thread Button Tree on.  The packages
at the bottom are an adaption of the presents from Lizzie Kate's Don't Get Your
Tinsel in a Tangle.  I had to make them smaller to fit
under my tree.

Here is a close up of the tree.  The picture just doesn't do it justice.  The buttons
sparkle.  The white buttons are buttons I got from some of my friends
on KYKS. Thank you ladies

Now I have to hide it so my sister doesn't see it and want me to stitch one for her.  Yes I know that isn't the Christmas spirit I should have.  However I already have plans to stitch 4 Halloween sweatshirts for my 2 sisters, my friend Sue and myself to wear in Lancaster next fall when we go for our shopping weekend.

Merry Christmas.

Hugs and peace to you all.

My first full day of retirement

is almost over. lol  I went to the gym first thing this morning at about 7:20 or so and a bunch of women I went to Curves with was there.  They meet once a month or so for breakfast and one of the ladies asked me to come along the next time which I believe is next Wednesday.  Yippee, maybe I will make some new friends.  Anyway it was nice of her to ask.  Then I came home and did a little cleaning and a little laundry.  I met my sister about 11:00 and we went to the mall shopping.  She bought be a new Tracfone for my Christmas present.  Then I finished up my Christmas shopping by buying Bob a new green plaid shirt to go with the green vest I ordered him last week.  I also bought him some Godiva chocolates and I bought my hairdresser a small box of Godiva chocolates.  Then sis and I went out to lunch.  She also brought be a Mickey Mouse Christmas sweatshirt back from Disney.  This afternoon I sat down and took a little nap.  lol  I just finished setting up the Tracfone except for adding my contacts.  I will do that once it is fully charged tomorrow.  I know this is all boring to everyone but me.  But what the heck. I was going to take some pictures of the presents I got from a couple of ladies on KYKS bur the battery in my camera needs to be charged.  I will do that tomorrow.

Till next time.

I may be a little crazy

I just keep stitching Christmas ornaments.  Someone needs to make me stop. lol   I have been stitching PS Redwork Santas and I love stitching them.  The other night I stitched a SMO snowflake.  Sandy put out 12 of these snowflakes and I would like to stitch them all.  I just bought an ornament tree and have snowflakes and snowmen form SMO from several years ago I am going to put on it if DH ever moves the stupid plant in the dining room.  I am also going to stitch the Drawn Thread Button Tree on a sweatshirt.  I stitched the waste canvas on the sweatshirt last night.  Tonight I will pull the floss and start stitching. I will have to hide this from my sister or she will want me to stitch one for her.

Friday is my last day of work and they are taking me to the country club for our Holiday party and my retirement lunch.

I have a busy schedule next week. We will be decorating our tree on Saturday  Saturday evening we are going out to dinner with my Sister and BIL, Monday my Sister and I are going shopping.  I have a few things to get for DH and my Sister is getting me a new cell phone as my Christmas present from them.  Tuesday I have an appointment to get a hair cut.  Wednesday I am getting my nails done.  Thursday I have to go to the butcher to get my filets for Christmas Eve and pork tenderloin for Christmas dinner.  Then on Christmas day my Sister and BIL are coming for dinner.  We are going to have Shrimp Cocktail,  Pork Tenderloin, Cheesey baked rice and a mixed vegetable casserole I have made many times and we all like.  Sister is going to bring dessert and Eggnog.

OK that is my life for right now.

2 weeks from today

I will be officially retired.  YEAH

I am almost ready for Christmas.  I have to pick up 2 gift certificates and a couple of things for Bob and then my shopping will be done.  I decorated the house on Saturday, just have the tree to decorate.  We will do that on the 18th.  I have baked cookies and my sister has baked more more cookies.  This coming weekend Bob and I will make fudge, my Grandmother's fudge recipie.  We haven't made it in several years.  My packages are all mailed.  Christmas cards all written and I will mail them this coming Friday.  I think I am in pretty good shape.

Best news is that Sue called me last Monday night.  Things are a little strained but at least we are talking.

PS Redwork Santa
Stitched on Perforated Paper using DMC Floss
I gave this to Jane who is taking over part of my job when I retire
I was so bored at work today I asked to leave at 2:00. After doing the few things I needed to do in the morning I spent the rest of my time surfing the web and playing computer games.  I had so much to do at home so I figured I would just come home and start my laundry and cleaning.  I got the living room and dining room cleaned and started decorating.  I will finish tomorrow.  I can't wait to see it even though I do it the same every year.
