Cardinal Points Progress and life

 My progress on Cardinal Points for this week.  Not a lot as I didn't stitch as much this week as I have in some past weeks.

Thursday was Bob's 68th birthday.  On Thursday we went to William Penn Inn for lunch to celebrate his birthday.  It was excellent.  Saturday, we had Shirley and CJ over for dinner.  Bob and I shared cooking duties.  I made Dill Macaroni Salad and Cheesecake and Bob marinated shrimp and grilled them.  We also had broccoli salad from Captain Chucky's a local fish market.  The food was great, if I do say so myself, and having CJ here was good.  Yesterday I cooked Bob his requested birthday dinner, Beef Stroganoff, noodles, and Asparagus.  Then later while watching TV we had some of the cheesecake from Saturday night.  Today we are doing hamburger and hot dogs on the grill, baked beans and zucchini on the grill for dinner.  It has been a nice Memorial Day weekend and celebration of Bob's birthday.

Today I am starting my 5th #MayMondays2022 start but I have decided I am tired of starting Prairie Schooler Santas so I am going to start Lizzie Kate's Summer ABCs.  It is just a little project so it shouldn't take me to long to finish.  Then on Wednesday I will be starting the June Christmas ornament.  I think I am just going to start another Lizzie Kate ornament as they don't take long and are easy to stitch.

I don't think I posted a picture of last week's PS Santa that I stared for #MayMondays 2022.  I have done a little more than this picture shows but I haven't taken a picture of it since I started it.

Designer:  Prairie Schooler - Design:  1998 yearly Santa - Fabric:  16CT Natural Lite Aida - Floss: DMC - 1st Stitch:  05-25-2022 - Notes:  4th #MayMondays2022 start.  I have stitched more then this shows.  I have stitched his whole beard and started the Ark.

I think that is it for me today.  I must say I really don't like having 5 WIPs and just think after Wednesday I will have 7.  Strange for someone who normally only stitched on 1 or 2 projects at a time.  What I plan on doing is after I finish the June ornament I will pick one of the Santas and stitch on it until it is finished and then pick up another one until I get them all finished.

Cardinal Points Progress

My progress on Cardinal Points as of end of day 5/22

I have started page 2

@MayMondays2022

 Dena, HalfStitchCrossStitch, on FlossTube started a May SAL.  Having a new start each Monday in May.  Now I've never had more than two or three projects started at any one time so starting 5 new projectis in a month kind of terrified me.  Anyway, I have a bunch of Prairie Schooler Santas I would like to stitch sooner than later so I decided to start one Santa each Monday in May.  So far, I have started 3.  Frankly I am getting a little burned out on Santas.  So tomorrow instead of starting another Santa I am going to start Lizzie Kate's Summer ABCs.  I'll go back to another Sanaa on the last Monday of May.

I have been stitching on the Santas I have started and have taken a picture of them.

Prairie Schooler 1997 Santa started 05/02/2022, Prairie Schooler 2002 Santa started 05/09/2022, Prairie Schooler 2001 Santa started 05/16/2022
I have made a little progress on each of these this week.  I work on them for an hour or 2 in the afternoons.

We have a busy week this week.  Tomorrow after I deliver dinner to Shirley, I have to get a birthday card and some wrapping paper for Bob's birthday.  Then I have to pick up lunch for us.  I also have to stop at the Post Office to mail a package.  Tuesday, I have an appointment for a haircut and then we are meeting the Pottstown Retirees for lunch.  Wednesday, we have no plans.  Thursday is Bob's birthday, and we are going to William Penn Inn for lunch to celebrate.  Then next weekend i Memorial Day weekend and we invited Shirley over for dinner on Saturday and I cook Bob's birthday dinner on Sunday night.

Bob still has tons of plants to plant, and we have to go to a plumbing supply store to get a new kitchen faucet so we can have the plumber return to install it and to install a new pipe in our laundry area as it is ready to burst.

Cardinal Points - Page 1 of 6 completed

I finished page 1 of Cardinal Points on Saturday. Only 6 more to go. I am so happy with the way this is turning out. I really didn't think 1 strand of floss on 18CT Aida was going to be sufficient but I think it looks great. Love all the pretty colors and they are so vibrant.
