Snow, Snow and more Snow + Merry Christmas by the Letter

Merry Christmas by the Letter by Lizzie Kate. Stitched on 16 count Aida using WDW and GAST. Started stitching on 12/11/2009 and completed stitching on 02-09-2010. I am a little disappointed as there was suppose to be a fireplace at the bottom instead of the holly leaves but I didn't have enough fabric.
Bob in the snow. He was shoveling the driveway but took a few minutes to measure the snow. At this point we have a little over 10 inches but it is still snowing hard and we have a blizzard warning but I don't think it will actually be a blizzard as it isn't windy enough.

Looking down Cope Ally between the house and the garage.

Would you like to sit on our bench with its comfy cushion of white. This is a combination of the snow from last Saturday and today.

This was taken from our back porch.

More from our back porch.
We are still expecting more snow so who knows how much mare we will get. I hope lots so I don't have to go to work again tomorrow. Yes I am bad but I could take another day at home.

Snow and Stitching

We had about 14 inches of snow Friday night into Saturday. I guess it stopped about 2:00 Saturday afternoon. I spent much of the day working on Merry Christmas by the Letter and doing laundry. Yesterday while watching the Super Bowl which the NO Saints won I finished the stitching of Merry Christmas. I just have to go back and sew on the buttons. I was very disappointed in that I did not have sufficient fabric to finish the design the way it is suppose to be. I could not put the fireplace with stockings at the bottom so I found a holly leaf in one of my books and added that on he bottom. It looks OK but I would have loved the fireplace. Next time I need fabric for something like this design I will be sure to go to Just Cross Stitch and not get it off the Internet. Hopefully I will be able to post a picture this weekend if I get the buttons on this week.

We are expecting another snow storm tomorrow night into Wednesday. I hope it is a big one and I won't be able to get to work on Wednesday morning. I wish I liked my job but I don't and it is so hard to get up and struggle to work every day. I have put a retirement counter at the bottom of my blog and it is fun to watch it tick down each day.

Nothing else is new with me. One day is just like the day before. We are going out to dinner with The Friday Night gang on Saturday. I guess we will have to start calling it the Saturday Night Group since we seem to go out on Saturday nights lately.
