I had the pleasure of testing the 'Clutch Me Tight'  pattern by Cheslia Daywalker recently and was very impressed by the directions. Not only does the designer have very clear photos, she explains why we do the things we do in bag making. :-)  And also gives you a few options and how to do those. It is a great pattern for a beginning bag maker.

I made my sample from quilters cotton with a faux leather flap & gusset.

I added a large back pocket for my sunglasses. ;-) 

 My strap is half quilters cotton/half faux leather and will also work as a crossbody strap; or can be removed and the bag can be a clutch. 

I made both the inside zipper pocket and slip pocket.

Earlier this month I had the good fortune to test one of those quilts!!

'Kaleidoscope' by Running Doe Quilts designed this little cutie!

Measuring 56 x 74, it is the perfect size for my DGD's small twin bed.  I am thinking about

putting minky on the back. ;-)

The photos really don't do the fabrics justice. Most of the fabrics have a little gold sparkle in them. :-)

Kris of KM Designs released her newest pattern this week.

This litttle Grab 'n Go clutch is that and more!

It has card and cash slots inside, as well as a zipper pocket, 

room for your phone or other necessities. ;-)

I tested it using the same fabric as I had used when I made her Hullabaloo Hobo bag so it can be a set. ;-)

She gave the pattern testers 'free reign' to add or change as we liked, and then she added our changes to the pattern!!   How fun is that?!  I added the outside pocket. It also has a carry strap that I omitted.
