Monsters! Oh My!

I made this tote bag today from some scraps of canvas,

interfacing and fleece scraps. I found the pattern in the most recent

Sew-It... Today magazine, but I had to make some changes. ;-)

I put pockets around the inside, and used some Decor Bond to

give it more shape.

Its for my DGS. I could not find a single crayon to put in its mouth,

so I used the white ones I have for hand embroidery projects.

I will definitely buy some before I give this away. ;-)

~Catching Up!~

Gosh, I think that could be the title for over half of my posts!

It seems like I am always a step behind~ and getting back in bed and getting up out of the other side does not help! :-) LOL

I finally caught up with Steps 2 & 3 of the Market Day Sew-Along that Pam @ Heartspun Quilts is hosting.

I set two rules for myself~

I can only use my scraps~ no cutting from FQ's or other yardage.

And use what I have~ which kind of repeats the first rule,

but it keeps it in my head. :-)

I am doing both the regular size version and the mini.

One in my CW fabrics and the mini in little bits of brighter

fabrics.

So far I like it! Although my CW backgrounds do need replenishing!

I had a hard time finding lights in my stash. I'm thinking these may end up as stars :-)

Tomorrow the next step is revealed.

I'm happy to be caught up!

Simply Small

Sherri had her Simply Small parade

over the weekend and I forgot to blog about my project! :-o

I loved this pattern! And with the little cut off corners I made a mini

or mug rug, or tea rug or whatever. ;-)

The mini charm pack I used was called Harvest Moon

by Kansas Troubles. I just did a little all over

swirly, loopy quilting.

Busy days at my house, but I'll be back with my little

blocks for the Heartspun Quilts sew along soon~ they are turning out

so cute!!
