~Charming Goals From January and February~

Have two months really passed? Wow!  Where was I? ;-)

I gave myself very easy goals for January and February~ let's re-cap....
Charming Goals for January and February~

           1. Enjoy every day! Add a little FUN to each one.
           2. Finish my Le Petite projects~ I really enjoy doing these small projects!
           3. Work on a MUF. ;-)

And I did them! We had some FUN making cookies, baking, I got a lot of embroidering done, and a table runner from the Valentine's blog hop,  and today~ playing in the snow!  Isn't it beautiful? All pristine and white. Thankfully, it won't be sticking around for long. ;-) ~~sorry blogger won't play nice right now, it tipped all my photo's. :-( ~~~

I finished my January Le Petite and am putting the last row on February's; so I'm considering it done for now, but I'll have that last border on before February is over and post a pic later.

And I worked on blocks for Piece and Goodwill~ that's my MUF. :-))
I also got my next BOM block finished for March for HGTV quilters (but I can't show you yet)
And I'm working on string blocks for a swap. :-) I'll show you when I know the recipients have them.

All in all a great two months!  :-)

Now what am I going to get myself into for March and April? Stay tuned. LOL

Have a happy weekend!

Still Stitchin'~

Debbie at Busy As Can Be shared this free pattern, and I couldn't wait to start stitching! I used perle cotton to stitch it and learned a neat tip from my Mom in the process. :-)

She called me one evening and asked what I was doing~ and I said trying to thread a needle with perle cotton.~ Ugh! I always had such a hard time getting the thick thread thru the needle!  And I use tapestry needles! With the long eye. :-o  She said try wetting the end with spray starch and pressing it... so I did and eureka!! :-) I sprayed a little heavy starch in a small cup and dipped the ends of the thread in it about an inch up~ wetting them real good. Then I separated them and pressed them flat. They slide right into the needle! Another bonus is that the end doesn't fray and shred as you are stitching! Whoohoo! Thanks Mom!! :-)

I'm off to my sewing machine~
Have a happy day!

Just Stitchin'

I love to have something to stitch on in the evenings. DH and I are big NBA fans, and while watching games, I stitch... unless the game gets really good! ;-)  I've been working on Little Miss Shabby's Birdie Stitches.  I used some of my vintage sheet collection for the squares around the stitching. Now I need to find something else to work on while waiting for March. ;-)

Click on it for a better view. ;-)
Hope y'all are busy stitching too!
Have a happy weekend!

I'm Flying Now~~

All of my flying geese for 'Sweet Spot' are sewn and trimmed. I think they are the most time consuming thing in the whole pattern. ;-) Hopefully tomorrow I can get to work on the top.

I didn't show you these on Monday as they were a gift and I was waiting for my friend to get them, but I made this bag (Mini Miranda Day Bag by Lazy Girl Designs) and wallet (petite Quilter's Wallet by Pat-e-Patterns) last week.  :-) I loved how they turned out and was delighted when my friend called and told me she loved them too! :-) The wallet has lots of good stuff inside, but I forgot to take a photo of the inside! :-o Guess that means I'll just need to make another! LOL

That's all for today~
Happy stitchin'!

♪♫♪My Mojo's Back And I'm.. ♪♫♪

...getting into trouble! ♪♫♪ Hey-la, Hey-la! My mojo's back! ♪♫♪ I know the song is about a boyfriend, but... I'm singing about my mojo! :-) Thank you all! Your inspiring blog posts is what put me over the top~ and got me into the trouble~ I'll explain that in a bit. ;-)

And a special thanks to Mary at Quilt Hollow who sent me this wonderful 'just because' surprise! {{hugs}} It is just perfect for a Thimbleberries nut like me. :-) Thank you Mary!! :-)

I did get a bunch more of my Christmas Piece and Goodwill blocks finished from the sew in last weekend.  Now I need to cut more pieces.  I'm loving this quilt! :-)

And I started on the next Le Petite project. The pattern is Sweet Spot by Carrie Nelson. I'm working on the geese~~

And now for the trouble~~ :-))

Did you see the wonderful embroidery BOM from Little Miss Shabby called Birdie Stitches? I'm behind, but I'm working on it~

Sorry the photo is bad. I guess blue tracing pen doesn't show up very well. And it's a sunny day! I'll show you a better shot after I embroider some more. ;-)

And more trouble!~ I peeked in at Bonnie's blog this morning and saw the great BOM from EQ! Yikes! How can I resist?!  Oh yeah~ I'm getting into trouble!! ♪♫♪♪♫♪ :-)) And lovin' it! LOL

Until next time~
 Happy Stitchin'!
