GRE/ERSPAN support should be automatic, no configuration required, simply point your traffic to the IP of the recorder. Hello Admin, I would like to ask if you happen to have a forum site. I was trying to install the software and somehow ended up to a trouble. I am pretty sure that there were some user that encountered the same scenario that I was in. Hi, I have a number of issues... 1. The call direction does not seem to be working. I updated the config.xml file with the private ip address of my Asterisk server but it has made no difference when trying to select direction of calls. Should it be the public IP address of my SIP providers? 2. Some calls are showing as IP addresses for the remote and local party instead of extension and number. How can I get all calls to show as correct extension as it is affecting reports? 3. When calls are put on hold the recording is affected after the hold is ended and Orecx does not pick up the local party. Thanks, Rory |

Hi all, I installed Oreka GPL to my Centos 6 machine. I applied all steps in "Oreka 1.7 Open Source User Manual - Revision 5". Orkaudio can capture rtp messages but it cannot record the conversation. Hello, dear community, I'm experiencing problems with official version of orkaudio+orkweb system. I have already installed orkaudio and it's working perfect, I can check all recorded wav files in /var/log/orkaudio/audio directory. But when I'm installing orkweb, all recently recorded files by oreka are disappearing and new records are not creating, but when I'm checking log file and gather tcpdump I see that orkaudio is getting RTP traffic. orkaudio version: orkaudio-1.6-818-x2500.x86_64.centos6 orkweb version: orkweb-1.7-2586-x64-linux Thank you in advance Kind regards, Maksim skype: max.urmanov |

I have a call center controlled by the CISCO software and have a problem with call waiting action. There are two ways to put on hold the caller: 1) From the phone itself In this case generate an audio file, but will not hear the caller. 2) From CISCO Agent In this case several audio files are generated (one for each call waiting action) Any idea what happens? I want is that only an audio file is generated in any case Best regards |

No but it can record caller and callee in different channels of a single stereo wav file. See instructions below. Henri ================================================ Stereo recording: Warning! Stereo recording requires 10 (ten) times more hard drive space than the default mono GSM wav format for the same audio duration. To set up stereo recording, please modify the config.xml file (in /etc/orkaudio) by modifying/adding the following: <StorageAudioFormat>ulaw</StorageAudioFormat> <StereoRecording>true</StereoRecording> <TapeNumChannels>2</TapeNumChannels> You can substitute ulaw with alaw or pcmwav but gsm is *not* supported for stereo recording You will need to restart the orkaudio service for this to take effect. Dear, I'm a orkeka administrator I'm wondering between using oreka on a linux server and using oreka on a windows server Do you have any comparision between using two types of OS (i'm using Centos and WIndowserver 2008), especially about recording performance (quality, number of call at the same time, CPU performances,.....) THanks for your reply Hoang Tuan |

Hi Scott, I had the same error and I fixed at the follow way
Edit the file "../orkaudio/Makefile"
Search inside it orkspeex and replace by speex. (I think you have just two line to modify)
And that it's... build again and everything should be ok

Sorry guys,
Came across this thread and noticed it wasn't quite answered. I don't
have the original emails so I'm hoping the same subject finds somebody
with some knowledge about this.
I have run into the same problem and am going to provide more
information in order to resolve the problem.
I am building on Ubuntu 14.04 amd64.
Fresh installation, up to date.
orkbasecxx built perfectly.
make install produces this for both speex and base

If recordings stay in the mcf format, most likely they are of an unsupported codec, other than G711. You can check in the logs what you get for "1st packet s1" and see the value you get for "type:", if it's not 0 or 8, it's not G711. Hello, Do you plan to provide a new OrkAudio CentOS/RHEL installer? I would really appreciate (and I am certainly not the only one...) since it is a very convenient way to install orkaudio on a Linux box. Hi,
Our company has 3 phone systems. Amcat, Panasonic and Mitel.
I want to record calls made and received from our service desk staff. I
have setup monitoring ports and confirmed via wireshark that RTP data is
being received on the port. I get a record of each call, the problem is
I usually only get one side. A few times I have received both sides of
the call, and they have been when it has been an Amcat to Amcat internal
call, but generally only one side is recorded, not the Service Desk
staff but the external party. This is the same with both internal and
external calls.
I use the latest build of Centos (6.5) and the latest build of oreka I
could find (not the source install). Version 1.7.
I have been playing with the different config.xml settings but don't
seem to be getting anywhere. Could anyone please help me?
I use the free version of Oreka.

Hello my Friends , recently I upgraded from oreka 0.5 to 1.2 version , and everything went fine . I did a tapefile rename through changing the config.xml file to add the IP attribute to the file , and it went fine , but the problem is that the change is not reflected to the DB as expected , please advise me what to do to solve this ... ?
